Has anyone figured out how to bypass the Haret.exe certification error.
I've tried a cab load and also Eclair. But Haret will not execute.
I still have the factory ROM. I have just recently entered the smartphone modification world. So I don't know how to flash and what to flash to my ROM.
I think you need HARD-SPL installed (at least 1.83). That means you need a Rooted Windows Mobile device.

Hi,
I've recently upgraded to the latest radio ROM, no problems there (but it did cause a hard-reset). Now I'm trying to flash FInixNOver's latest ROM. The problem: I run ROMUpdateUtility, the device enteres bootloader mode and... nothing! No flashing, no errors, no nothing. The upgrade fails and I'm stuck in bootloader mode. The weird thing is... soft reset works and I can boot the (already installed) ROM just fine.
Any ideas...?
Thanks!
In which phase are you stuck? some bootloaders leave my trinity with the screen with the colored bands, and then refuse to continue. I launch them again (with some anxiety) and everything continues correctly. I had this probably 20 times and never a problem - but i don't understand why. It is probably a timing matter....
I'm stuck in the three-colour screen. A soft reset boots up the device properly, but it does not flash. However, I've successfully managed to flash by using the SD card method.
i always get stuck, as i was saying, in the three color screen. The windows bootloader complains it cannot continue, i simply relaunch the windows bootloader without doing anything on the trinity. Actually, i doubt it has some relation with the bepe's kitchen, since it didn't happen with NetDrg french rom....but i have exactly the same problem with the present (great) tnyynt roms...good anyway you had solved your problem somehow. it also could depend on the Hard-SPL version you are using.
Yeah, I thought the SPL could be the cause.
However, knowing that the SD card method works is reassuring.
Thanks.
my hard-spl comes from olipro:

Regards,
I had the exact same issue, i re-installed my Olipro Hard SPL v3.2 (if you are running a 3600i be sure to get the specific version).
Tried flash once again, all was fine!
Other thought, it has happened to me, when it is in the bootloader, tri-colour, just run the upgrade again. i had that with some ROMs.
I tried that many times, it didn't work.
Thanks for the reply, though.
I have a blu angel device but i can' t upgrade to wm6 - wm6.1 , i followed the tutorial and i tried the rom linked and other different roms but the problem is the same : i read the error message "this rom is not designed for your device"
I have a xda IIs Starmap Mobile Alliance and the rom version is 1.40.04 ita.
anyone has some idea?
i hear you, i had the same problem, all the roms said either it was "for another device" or i got a country id error. in my experience, there are two things you gotta do to avoid those errors:
1. Use BaUpgradeUt_noID.exe instead of BaUpgradeUt.exe (the noID version ignores the country id and stuff)
2. before reflashing, make sure to put your device in bootloader mode, following these steps: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_BootloaderMode
and just to avoid a common mistake i also stepped in, don't try flashing your device on windows vista, mine got stuck in bootloader, because vista seemed to download a "newer driver" while flashing and i had a connection error, already thought, i bricked it somehow.
good luck with that, and don't hesitate to ask if you need further help
Done ! The problem was bootloader mode. First time i though my device was in bootloader but probibly it was not...
Hi to everyone.
I've just bought a HTC Diamond on the vodafone network, but need to unlock it as I'm on O2's network.
I've been able to install SPL 1.4 and this shows on the boot loader page.
The problem seems to come when I try and install the 'new' rom. It goes through the whole stage up to 100%. Then on the device it says error code please try again. On my Pc it says error code 226. I've tried it on a windows vista pc, and again on XP. I've also tried it by installing it direct onto the internal storage. This again goes through the installation up to and including 1005, but then come sup with a new screen on the device saying that the update and the radio have both failed to install.
I'd really like to unlock my device and to have a new rom so that I dont have all the vodafone branding.
Like many others, I'm willing to contribute so that research and new software is developed, and I have also read the forums for many hours trying to find a solution to my problem before posting.
Hopefully I can be directed to some help.
Kind regards.
Just to update and incase anyones interested.
I ended up downloading the latest version of the official rom that I could find, then extracted the nbh file using winrar, and installed that from the internal storage which has successfully worked.
Not sure why the other rom image I had wouldn't work, just glad I've got rid of the vodafone bits really.
Regards.
Trying to flash to nand but the indicator never goes past 0% on my phone and eventually the program errors out.
ERROR[262] UPDATE ERROR
I can remove the battery from my phone, and turn it back on and it goes back into Windows Mobile.
I can't figure out what is going on...
The ROMUpdateUtility I'm running says version 3.27.4.3 in the title bar. I'm running Windows 7 with UAC disable and as an administrator.
The only thing I noticed that's strange is when it analyzes my phone, it doesn't tell me the 'name' of my ROM or whatever, it's blank. I'm running the WM6.1 Alltel ROM (official)...
I unlocked my phone a long time ago... Could it have failed, and that be the issue?
Hi,
First, confirm that your phone is unlocked.
Go to bootloader to confirm that you see: 2.31 CoKe MFG
If is unlocked, then boot back into WinMo and copy your .nbh file to the root of your SD card and rename it to VOGUIMG.NBH.
Then go back into bootloader mode.
When it enters bootloader mode, it will recognize that you have the NBH file in the root of the SD Card. Follow the instructions to flash the NBH to your phone.
Good luck!
Note: using this method, you do not need the ROMUpdateUtility.
yeah you will get the 262 error if you didn't unlock.
If you need to unlock, here is the link that I used.

Going to try the android now...
And it worked... Guess the radio file I have isn't the right one for the Vogue... Anyone have it?

Hi,

then re-install r/hspl and flash dft's...
hope you'll enjoy freedom rom!
I have a question regarding a similar problem once a custom rom is loaded. I want to avoid updating thru Zune and update from the RUU without it deleting my apps, email setup, etc in Bootloader Mode. Anyway to do that?
is your device in the Bootloader?
Yes, I go into the bootloader and can update but does a clean of the rom. I want to upgrade from DeepShining v 4.0 to 5.0 now without it erasing and reinstalling all my apps again. Is there a way to do that?
Nope, not how the WP7 devices work. Because of how WP7 sees the filesystem, it HAS to clear the memory every time you load a different ROM
Is there a way to backup the programs and such, do the update, and restore? I know the Zune software does that in the background when updating via it but is there a way for custom roms to do that?
