Well is it possible? The CM6 Power Control widget is, pardon any sort of weak pun, powerful! I just can't get used to CM6, so I'm going back to my original Sense ROM, but I kind of want to keep that Widget. Ideas?
"extended controls" from the market
Extended Controls has almost all of the features plus some extras. Plus you can control the transparency level and also change the widget size to 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, and 1x4.
I thought you had already gone back to sense based on one of your previous threads.

I attempt to use CM6 every so often to see if I can get used to it; hasn't worked out for me yet. Thanks for the advice.
Available in Google Market...
End December 2010 I released WMD-Weather Lite in the Android Market. This widget is based on the WMD-Weather widget I created earlier for the Windows Mobile UI Androkkid. Since then, I've been working on the full version of this weather app & widget, hoping to release it soon as a paid version. This one will extend the lite version, and combine ideas from two other Androkkid widgets I created: WMD-Clock and WMD-WorldClock.
The application features a weather application, showing the current conditions (weather icon, temp, short text, status icons), a 6-day forecast and details when a weather icon is clicked (see images below), including a radar image. Where available (US), the UV index and pollen information/air quality are available as well for today's details.
Multiple locations are supported, as well as 'My location' which is modified when you move, and just about any location on the planet can be added. By swiping left or right, the next location's info is displayed. When the current location is known (via GPS or network), it will be proposed when adding a location.
The application can be set to update automatically.
Please see my site to get the latest information on features (this post is not updated frequently).
Lanuages supported: English, Dutch, German, French, Norwegian, Hungarian
Currently, the application comes with 3 widgets:
Simple weather widget (2x1)
- shows the location,
- the current weather icon
- current temperature and real feel temperature
- next day forecast icon, min/max temperature
- optional background (choice of backgrounds)
- time last updated
- clicking on the widget will launch the app with the widget's location
Weather/Clock widget (4x1)
- the simple weather widget, combined with
- a clock, optionally showing the location's local time
- optionally, the next alarm
- optionally, the current date
- optional backgrounds (choice of backgrounds)
- choice of 5 clock digit styles
- optionally display the hour leading 0 (e.g. 01:00 instead of 1:00)
- optionally select an application to launch when the clock's digits are clicked
Advanced Weather/Clock widget (4x2)
- the Weather/Clock widget, combined with
- an additional row with forecasts for the main widget location and/or current weather info for other locations (including the location's time)
By using the location's time, the clock widget can be used to create a weather/world clock by adding multiple locations with their time to your Android home app (see the images below for an example).
Currently in development for the next version:
- downloadable digit styles and backgrounds
- reworked internals
- more languages: Spanish & Portuguese
Wish list:
- widgets functioning on all devices
- additional weather widget(s)
- screen to screen animation
- slide from day to day in the details screen
All resolutions should be supported, allthough for 320x200 devices, scrolling is required to see all information. And, depending on the screen's density and the launcher used, the widgets may not display correctly. Try out the lite version to verify everything is displayed correctly.
PS: the application is tested on small screen/low dpi resolutions via the emulator, for which the results are correct. However, on the HTC Wildfire the widgets are not rendered fully...
WMD-Weather contains more information, screenshots, version info and the barcode to install the application. The link and barcode for WMD-Weather Lite can be found there as well.
Any feedback - good or bad, bugs, ... - is appreciated!

Thanks Excepter!
Please let me know if you notice any incorrect behavior (clock stops updating, service no longer running, ...).
I'm also looking for feedback on HTC Sense based devices. The widget size may be incorrect on HTC Sense, but I'm unable to test this (on ADWLauncher, my favorite, it looks good on all resolutions).
If you have other ideas to improve the application's functionalilty, I'll be happy to hear this as well...
Good work! I installed this on a htc hero running aosp 2.2 (no sense). I'll report back in a few days if I have any issues/ideas.
Edit: I just got an "error configuring widget" after I changed some of the preferences. Hmph I should have left it alone. Anyway I have to go to sleep, I'll play with it more tomorrow. I wish I had the skills to put together something like this; time is so hard to come by anymore...
Got it tested today on a HTC Desire with Sense (thanks Wim). No issues there.
However, the widgets on the HTC Wildfire (thanks Kurt) don't show all info and the background doesn't cover the entire widget. Something to work on...
Looking good, Ima try it later.
These look really clean!

Sorry for my somewhat late response.
I've had no issues with connectivity. However, in the lite version's comments there are 2 comments (out of 72) regarding update issues.
The app verifies if there's an internet connection available before launching an update. I've been able to test wifi, edge, hdspa, but not 3G myself.
Hopefully other users can share their experience here, to find out if it's 3G or device related. I'll do some research on this as well.
Nice work! Using this on my HTC Hero, no issues whatsoever.

Nope... not yet. Small screen devices will be one of the things I'll be focussing on next, cause it's really bugging me. I've already put in quite some time and tried some alternative layouts, but without success. If anyone else has a solution, please let me know.
It's hard to emulate. One thing I noticed lately is, that my widgets actually overlap in the small screen emulator. Which is a first (small) step ahead...
So I ended up buying a htc wildfire to do development work on for small screens.
The htc doesn't handle the small screen in the same way that others (such as the xperia x10 and the samsung galaxy 550) do. And what I found was that whilst the bounding box on my widget looked fone on the xperia and 550, it was stopping short on the wildfire.
Within my layout I had a android:layout_marginBottom="15dip" for the bounding box. Duplicating the layout and putting it in layout-small and removing the marginBottom fixed the problem for the widget on the wildfire, but also left a large space on the other small screens. As I have fewer wildfire users than x10 users this wasn't an option. Yesterday I tested a dirty fix; in the settings/preferences menu I have added in a widget layout option with default and small screen (wildfire) options.
When the user selects the wildfire option the widget will load with a layout that doesn't use marginBottom for the bounding box. And this seems to work. Would be good if I could detect what device the user was using so that this could be done automatically.
Thanks. It seems to be the same issue I'm having with the Wildfire. The emulator did not show the issue, but it does partly overlap 2 (of my) widgets when putting one above the other. I was planning on experimenting with relative layouts. Did you try something like that?

Core device properties are pulled from cm. There are a few other features we have pulled from cm but certainly not everything.
Alright cool, I'll give it a shot later today! Thanks for the work!
Installed this a few hours ago. Looks like a nice ROM, pretty stable too. Might be a little worse on battery life than CM7 and MIUI but it's early. Nice work.

Thanks. As always you'll want the rom to settle through at least one full discharge charge to gauge battery. Usually makes a difference =P

im suprised how small the file size is. 65 megs....cm7 is 85
Definitely looks slick. I will flash tonight and report back tomorrow
This is a very good ROM in my opinion. It's nice to see another AOSP ROM, especially another great one.
i really like the settings menu
I like the ROM, but I can't find where I can use my custom ringtones.
Never mind somehow they were deleted?!?

Hi everyone! Im the developer of Moogly, a simple but useful todo list widget that started as a project for Honeycomb. The pr is after the break.
There have been reports that it doesnt work properly on some devices! If someone could be so kind as to try the Lite version and if it doesnt stretch properly, send me some screenshots and log files!
You can also post issues at the main thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202211
Thanks in advance!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MOOGLY
A simple but powerful to do list widget designed to be customized. Now with auto-hiding buttons!
Features:
★ Multiple independent, scrollable widgets
★ Quick, dialog based entry
★ Tick to delete or mark complete
★ Widgets are optimized for Honeycomb
★ Predefined themes or total customization
★ RTL support
★ Custom image backgrounds
This widget was inspired by To Do List from HTC Sense - for some reason, they were the only ones to get it right.
Lite Market link - restricted to 8 entries and only one widget

Great widget. Ive been looking for something like the htc widget for a long time!
Running stock 3.2 Wifi Xoom
Works very well, excellent app!
Only issues I had was it didn't appear under widgets until I rebooted the device.
Only request would be to allow a smaller resize say only 2 or 3 lines
Strange about not appearing till reboot - what rom are you on?
Also, do you mean a 1xN widget?
I love it! Using the clear background and it looks great.
Be sure to leave a review on the market to encourage others

Yes 1xN would be great!
I'm just running standard 3.2 (not rooted, and no custom kernel)
Ive looked into the widget not appearing in the picker after install - its a problem with the picker itself. Its broken on the tiamat roms (which are pretty unstable despite all the huffing and puffing).
Re widget sizes. Im updating in a few hours with 1x1 (on HC things can only be stretched, not shrunk) and 2x4.

I'm on stock ROM and the widget only appeared after a reboot of the device. Other than that it works great. Thought you'd want to know.
No idea if it not showing is an Honeycomb issue or something in your app.
(Left you 5 stars on marketplace)
Seems to te a honeycomb issue. Im looking into it!
And any issues with it not appearing in the widget picker until reboot?
None at all, it rocks!
Good to know, thanks! Dont forget suggestions!
Will you include the themes i sent?
I havent had a chance. Next release will have them and gsync as well.
Working perfectly for me! Thanks, this is absolutely top class.
Are hidden tasks working ok?
Any issues to report?

Hello i've been working on a ui design since 2014 and i finally have a launcher thats been begun recently you can see attached pictures of the launcher apk in it's current state and pictures of the final design unfortunatly i lack the funding to get it as complete as i want but an apk is being worked on, this is a different thing that may not appeal to everyone it may be too much for some, it's a complete overhaul of everything from lockscreen etc and it moves away from android quite abit, it begun as a linux distro design but then moved on to an android rom and then to a launcher, SymetiumOS itself is still there but thats when i find help to make it.
features of my ui
1. Custom modes such as pc mode,tv mode, tablet mode and the ability to create new modes, everytime a new mode is made a new settings screen is created, each settings screen has the same options so you can enable the pc appdrawer under mobile mode for example this applies for potrait and landscape under each mode meaning you can move pc mode to mobile mode landscape and have it trigger pc mode in landscape
2.size options for each menu that includes pc appdrawer or desktop appdrawer, notificationpanel and statusbar, recent apps menu, the notificationpanel comes in various sizes if it's set to tablet size then you can pull it down or click it down anywhere similar to an android tablet, this applies to all sizes including the micro size which replicates the feel of a 4k screen.
3.background layer options to appeal to more peoples tastes this includes glass, solid color (material),tranlucency, transparent solid color this layer can be enabled for the desktop appdrawer, notification panel (3 sets of layers for the notificationpanel, category appdrawer, category dock, appdock
4.automatic and manual sorting for the appdrawer if automatic is chosen then the icons of the dock will change using the playstore sorting method, if manual is chosen then the user can customize these categories, removing, renaming, adding new ones, each category consists of an appfield and a widget field above allowing the user to create custom categories such as a news category with news apps and a newswidget
5.the dock can be swiped into from the homescreen but this can also be disabled meaning you have to swipe to reveal the dock and then press an icon, the dock can be at the top or bottom or left or right side of the screen the size of the icons can be adjusted so can the distance between the icons and distance between the edge of the screen
heres an animation for the ui here is an animation showing the ui https://www.facebook.com/symetium/videos/1182698115129367/

Last time , you said launcher is not ready for playstore .
and what i meant from making it open source was that you drop your apk in xda and ask for developers help and in meantime you will get enough beta testers for your launcher too.
Playstore should work too , its just people go there before they make their app stable and complete
Just giving free #advice
