Having trouble downloading Angry Birds 1.5.1 from the market? Download it from the link below and side load it; I did this on my 2 G Tablets with no issues.

That was the general rumor; however I can not confirm it yet!

Just got an Angry Birds update on my phone where the developer remove the sms. Be curious to see if I can download it from the market when I get off work.

It updated on my Droid X; however it still does not show up on the Market in either of my 2 G Tablets.

It also looks like they added really obnoxious ads in there as well. Even worse than the ones that were in there before.

Supposedly this is Angry Birds 1.5.1.1 No Ads... However I loaded this file on my 2 G Tablets and my Droid X. Here are the results:
G Tablet 1: Angry Birds Starts (No Ads / Movie Previews) at Load Screen or within the games itself.
G Tablet 2: Angry Birds Starts (No Ads / Movie Previews) at Load Screen or within the games itself
Droid X: Angry Birds Starts; Ads or Movie Previews kick in at Load Screen; Ads also show up within the game itself;
So the file at the link below only gives you no ads on your G Tablet... DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!

***UPDATE***
To be honest I can not see anywhere where this file actually upgraded the program to 1.5.1.1 (this number does not show up in the game or in TB)

I wish there was a pay option I really hate ads.

Download AdFree from the Market. It gets rid of the ads.
[edit] I spoke too soon. Didn't realize the ads you all are talking about was now a part of the game like a movie trailer. [/edit]

To check the version #, click on the Gear, then the "I" for Info button on the main screen...It should report and start scrolling credits...

Angry Birds -- get it!

I've noticed many people saying that Angry Birds is not available on the Nook Color's Android Marketplace -- Just Angry Birds Seasons.
Well I just downloaded Angry Birds by going directly to the Android Marketplace website: https://market.android.com/
It downloaded and installed perfectly.
Just thought you'd like to know.

this is the best game ever and it is very addictive

Was just updated to 1.5.2 as well.

Amazon App Market

If you are running HC or another ROM and can't seem to get the standard Market to work, I had it working in the past but on my last attempt to reflash i can't get it to work. The Appstore from Amazon seems to work and install on my HC Nook, However just because it install doesn't mean the app you download off of it will run properly. I am having trouble with angry birds rio for example.
I'm not sure if there are any legal things against this like with the market on CM7 or some of the other roms that don't include the market. But after a quick glance and the legal bit in the app there doesn't seem to be. Hope this eases some of the issues with getting apps.

Do you have an SD card inserted?
Because if you don't, that's just an annoyance. If you do, then it's a serious problem.
In any case, I expect that's an app issue, not a store issue, unless the store doesn't allow refunds for defective products.

no I didnt think i needed it. I didnt have to on my captivate phone. so why would I need it on the NC?

Some apps insist on storing data on the SD card and fail if you don't have one.
That doesn't sound like the case here, though, if AB Rio works on your phone without one.

It won't install for me (angry birds rio). I can download the app store, and download the app, but installation never seems to work. Boy what does this remind me of...

I got the Amazon app store to install and I was able to download Angry Birds Rio onto my Honeycomb v4 Nook Color, but it does nothing but crash when I try to play the first level. Not sure what the issue is. Anyone else got this working?

Rio isn't the only thing...Amazon has apps listed cheaper than google market, like Fruit ninja for example.

Plus, a different app discounted to $0 every day.

Warez link removed

I installed the Amazon App Store and then Angry Birds Rio and they both work fine on CM7.

Amazon app store won't work in Canada. Too bad

The Amazon App Market installs all apps on the sd card. I am not entirely sure why this is just yet.

Ok, it must be Rio because Paper Toss installed just fine.

I'm running Nookie Froyo on a sd card and the Amazon Market loaded and works and Angry Birds Rio downloads and works fine.

Installing Angry Bird Rio to a HC Nook Color is easy (you just need to move the app from the SD card back to phone -- ie, the NC), but you won't get past the intro of the first level. You will hear a few birds' noise and then the app will close itself.

Appstore installed but when I try to download AB Rio it tells me there is nothing to download.

I can confirm...I find it in the market on my Vibrant but can't on my Xoom.
Also, I was kinda shocked to see that Gameloft game in the android market.

Doesn't list xoom on the device list though.

This is a GameLoft games... buyer beware!
They are strict DRM policy like not allowing you to reinstall after flashing a new ROM, and most of the time their games do not work...

You're right! I bought it awhile ago and wasn't to impressed. I loaded up some roms and there is a significant improvement. Thanks for the heads up.

n64oid was available on the market for a short time and removed by the author for a few months while it undergoes improvements. It should be back soon, but it's not currently available.

Read that it should be up by late may so anytime soon

where/how are you guys getting ROMS for this and the playstation emulator?
i used to use what I believe was called Rom Finder (premium) but I believe it was removed from the market. and even upon side loading the SDK it tells me that I need the newest version to download ROMS. any suggestions for using this or a new source? I would prefer a direct app on the xoom to do this although i havent been able to find another one.

You just can search it on Google, and for the ROMS, in any web of ROMS and Emulator, just watch the end of the file "Example.N64". If there's no problem for some mods or something i can upalod the apk.

I have this emulator and i use it with my xbox 360 controller. It works pretty good but i cant get it to recognize the l2 and r2 buttons. Other than tha is great.

are the analog sticks actually input in analog---that is to say, when you tilt the stick just a little, does your character walk slowly or whatever the case would be?

I purchased the N64oid and had a backup on Titanium. I restored it and the app works fine but I can't open any of my game zips. To my knowledge N64oid doesn't need a BIOS right? I downloaded my ROMS from coolrom but they don't open. Any ideas. I'm dying for Mario Kart 64.

Make sure they are zip and not rar....but on a different note:
No one worry because sooner or N64oid will come back to the Market the dev is really trust worthy and responds to emails quickly.

They are .zip. This happens with the 3 different ROMs I have.

You are right no BIOS needed. I have Honeycomb 3.1 with the latest Tiamat Xoom 1.4.2 and it runs great. I had purchased this app before it was in the market. I had to reinstall N64oid when I updated to 3.1 since all my applications were cleared.
Since you purchased this legitly on the android market you shouldn't have to worry. Remove the Titanium Backup version. Go to the Android Market and your purchased apps and install from there. Even though its removed from market since you purchased it you should still have access to download it like I do. Hopefully it will start working for you then!

i'm more concerned about gensoid being taken down than n64oid coming back up. that emu definitely needed a few updates that we probably wont get.

It just automatically does. Can anyone else confirm this? Did you originally purchase on the Xoom or another device? Another way to tell is if you look at the web version of the marketplace it should be on your purchased list.

Unfortunately no. It thinks its the d pad so when you push the stick, its in all the way. Also you cant program the dpad and analog sticks differently.

Hey sleepless, do you know of any good sega genesis emulators for the xoom, i have gensoid but it wont load the roms i have.
