I had to put my phone back to stock rom and for some reason during this operation when my phone was all done and booted back up i mounted it to windows went into my phone and the whole directory was gone except for Android and DCIM
No hidden files or anything. I tried to reinstall again no luck same situation. It seems as if everything was written over but old directories still exist. I can type in e:\sd\ and the folder is accessible but it just doesn't show
Please help, its driving me insane.

Do a master Clear from Odin. Flashing a Stock rom does not remove all things from an older rom, that is why it is suggested to do a stock flash and a Master clear before changing roms
Right I tried that, for some reason these are the only two folders that keep appearing after its all said and done.
can you see the other folders from a built in file explorer on the device? What are you using to flash a stock rom?
Im using Odin3...only sd shows up under my files on the phone

Ok those should be the only folders you see. Not sure why your pc is not allowing you to see the folder

I maybe wrong, but those look suspiciously like data corruption files.... Is your phone hanging/crashing suddenly? Have you lost certain files in your sdcard?
This has happened with me too.. Just format your memory card from a windows pc
I tried
I formatted SD card but these files appearing again. I don't have any issues like hanging phone, application close, restarting. etc.

If these files have appeared you after deleting any file stored on the microSD with the ES Explorer app, you can be running under KK do not have write permission and does not send it to the trash or leaving a log after the destruction. To my passing me something like, the solution was a Xposed module called "KitKat SD Card Full Access"
Having used TitaniumBackup for years I thought I knew how to do this but obviously not.
I have backed up my N6 all users files only. They were stored in \SDCard\TitaniumBackup\ viewing this on my phone shows all of the files for backup.
When viewing on my computer I see nothing.
I moved the files to \SDCard\Downloads\Backup\ Incase the folder was the issue and still have the same issue.
I cannot view any of my backups on my computer so that I can't back them up and restore them after the 5.1 update.
I have a Stock Rooted N6 running 5.0.1. Is it the encryption that is an issue? If so what do I do?
Well the good news is titanium backup works perfectly on my N6 but the path is a bit different for me . /storage/emulated/0/titanium backup

I use my computer to copy all of the files from my old phone to this phone and after a few days I made a backup copy on my computer so I'm sure it can go back and forth. My phone is still encrypted running stock.
Sent from my Nexus 6
Same thing happens to me. If I rename the titanium folder on my phone then transfer the folder to my pc it works. No idea why... If I don't rename it none or very few of the files show up. I use windows 7.

Renaming did the trick thank you time to go update
Hi everyone,
few days ago i decided to flash custom ROM instead of my stock 4.1.1 android to my Smasung Galaxy S3 LTE. Everything seems to be fine but when i wanted to make backup through CWM it did it but to the last cwm folder in storage/emulated and then i couldn't make recovery from it. The path of my actual place where is the data is storage/emulated/0. I don't know why the old files are saved in storage/emulated, i can't see them in my windows. Only root browser can show them. Can i delete them? Or can i just change my new storage/emulated/0 path to the old one and use my old apps with new ROM? This is very annyoing problem cus i've got ~16 gb Samsung, and windows shows that there is only 11 gb available and a lot of this space is coverd by files i can't even see. How can i fix it?

Copy all folders/files from your phone & check the size, if it doesn't match up with the problem you are facing then It's better to factory reset & copy back only needed files.
I feel may be few files are hidden.
I started to get this error message after flashing the boot partition. All connections stopped working. I reflashed with original boot partition, which results in wifi working again, but bluetooth is dtill refusing to work. Do I factory reset? I have a file that is important but wont come off because it keeps freezing during transfer process
Search for 'Reset options' and reset wifi/mobile/bluetooth, see if that does the trick.

I've also done that. The phone I tried to root is a Z3551S (came from QLink Wireless, running android 9 and has a ****ton of bloat), which doesn't have ramdisk, or a separate VBMeta partition. Also, the images are from some other source. And when I flashed with the rooted partition, Magisk showed the phone was rooted, and I could view files I couldn't view before, but I couldn't uninstall apps with another root application, so I don't think it was fully rooted. I'm also beginning to think that I may need to flash all of the files, because they might not be the same.
uninstall bluetooth

Can't do that either. I tried before flashing the before-modified boot image, but I don't think the phone was properly rooted
Here is the message that I get. Clicking `ok` just takes me to settings

An update: the wifi DOES NOT turn on, and SDCards are not being mounted either. Ima try flashing the boot.img to boot instead of boot_verified.img to boot
