Video of Gtab with GPS Nav - G Tablet Themes and Apps

Here is a video I shot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BrxXFEzFHo

What did you use for a car mount?

The mounting job was so ghetto its not even worth explaining

i got mine mounted with velcro. I just bought 2 pieces of industrial quality velcro and put them on the cover for the radio on my car and on the back on my gtab. The thing is solid steady and works perfect. I will try out the nav app when the fam and i make a trip to NY sometime in the next month. SO far driving around town it works perfect, i just sync the BT gps reciever with the gtab and then sync my mt3g with my tab for 3g and off i go.

Tomtom GPS

hey guys, i'm looking to get a gps receiver for my xda for sat nav.
is this good one to get??
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5134399422
is there anything else i need?? car mount (know which is good/cheap)?
I guess i install the software onto the SD card and i'm off to go right?
cheers.
It's fine, although if you want to save some money, you can buy an unbranded gps mouse like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4668&item=5731196082&rd=1
I've been using mine for about six months and it works great, and it comes with the y-plug if you specify that you have an xda2!
As for car mounts, i got mine from proporta and it mounts onto the vent, i'm quite happy with it but i'm sure there are better ones about.
Hope this helps!
cheers mate. Had a look at it and only about £10 less or so. Prob go for the Tomtom one since little diff.

Bluetooth live video from another mobile phone.

Heres somthing that i have been thinking about for a while now.
Most days phones come with a camera, maybe not brilliant, but for £40 you can pick up a 2mp camera phone.
Ok heres the idea.. I most of the time have my Kaiser in my car in a phone holder, maybe to view tomtom, but could i also bluetooth live video from another phone to my kaiser, but have the other phone on my back shelf of my car to view the back, when i am parking up i can see the video through my phone.
Just an idea!
Thanks.

They sell a license plate camera and moniter for $99. that would be alot easier, and it's wireless

Wireless, yes... but is it bluetooth.
If the ONLY reason to ever have this "option" was for backing a car, fine. But if it worked, there are several ways to use it. For example, put the other phone camera on the mailbox to see when mailman comes by....etc....
Not that I see a use, but anything is an option (I suppose). What fits one persons needs isn't always the same for another person.

I like this idea
anyway...regarding the topic...I searched a lot and I did not find a program that does what you want wildchild121007
most of the apps out there stream from WM device to a server or vise versa...and a DATA connection is required in most of the cases.
here is a discussion about the same idea, and a way to program it
http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/Community/en-US/forums/thread/30240867.aspx
cheers
That software is fine if you have two phones on contract for unlimited internet.
I was talking about not using a sim card in a cheap phone.
Like someone else said, you could do a lot of other different things with it, like spying on someone but through bluetooth.
UNLESS the phone has WIFI?? Yes that would work..
Anyone got any ideas for software that automatically sends pics or even better video through an internet connection to a specific place?
JUST FOUND THIS! http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-live-media-v1-1.html

Yeah! The Ultimate!!

Now this is a classic...
Bought one just for a laugh but got shocked as its full touch screen, SMS, MMS email, MP3 and lots of accessory progs.
BT headset included, stereo headset, open headset connector (for your own) USB cable and mini cable charger!!
Just looks a joke on your wrist but strangly harkens back to the size of the old Cambridge LED watches!!
Just glad the bloke on the box lid was not included also!!!
How much did you pay for it?
In UAE DHS599
USD 163 and change at present ex.
OK it may be expensive BUT!! Really good joke (and if packaged better would not be!!)
Extra un-cool at the moment...

This is like the future of the old calculator watches kids would wear back in school that always had the correct answers for our math quizzes !
Has a calculator on it and it seems to give the correct answers!
Its only un-cool cause it dunt have TF3D and drivers rolleyes but a really great gadget to have...
BTW, it does work on your wrist as a full touch screen voice phone without the BT or wired headset!
It has an internal mike and speaker!!
Thunderbirds ARE GO!!!
OH THIS IS TOO MUCH!!
It has HANDWRITING recognition!! (OK you can only fit one letter at a time on the screen but HEY!!)
What else can this do??
Playing....
Hahaha that's awesome, too bad it's only triband.

I was strolling around the Marina Mall here in Abu Dhabi and noticed it in a shop window thought "I have gotta try this out". My son and I try to outdo each other with stupid Christmas presents.
I have a feeling he won't get this one.
That's a sexy chain bracelet. (Don't worry I noticed the cool watch phone too lol) Mind telling me where you got it from? Looks nice. The chain bracelet I mean.

Just one.
The batteries are about 7.5mm thick but sit recessed into the back of the watch when attached.
The whole thing is 20mm thick at widest section down to 15mm at center.
Never said it was pretty!
I want one of those "kitsh" watch/Phone or wheatever it´s called!
Amazing!
Found this in the documentation if you know any shop that wants to import a few.

I am sure they won't come under the Qualcomm ban on import tech.

Failing that, I could have a talk to the shop I got mine from. They are pretty good around here and may do a mail delivery for you if you wish.
Problem with that is returns.. Cheap Chinese gear tends to have a bad Quality Control and some do not work 'out of the box'.
Best let some retailer take that so your returns are close.
Mine had a faulty microSD but the cheap cost of them now meant I didn't bother with a return.
FYI, I find this to be ideal for in the gym or out cycling.
I just forward my calls to it from the Touch Pro and can instantly see who is calling (my call forwarding passes caller info) and answer without breaking stride!!
People just think its a heart monitor at my age..
Found better looking one with a built in camera from a supplier in the States!
http://www.greatestsale.com/Cell-Phone-Watch-with-Built-in-Camera-m810-Products-2258307.html
I have to laugh at what I am finding on these units...
Skip free excellent A2DP playback and handsfree... even connected to my Infiniti BT with no problem.
In functionality they can put HTC to shame..

Good, cheap, bluetooth for Desktop PC?

My girlfriend has at Pantech Duo, without Wifi, for her birthday or christmas I wanna get her one of those little usb bluetooth things for her computer so she can be on the internet wherever in her house with her Pantech using her bluetooth.
I'm not asking how to configure the bluetooth internet on the device, as I've already figured this out by searching some other topics and guides.
I'd just like to know what to buy as far as bluetooth for her family's desktop Vista computer. Probably something cheap that can send the internet connection to the device..
thanks in advance!

your right! now only if i knew how they compare... my girlfriend would be using it for internet with her Pantech Duo.
Well I may just get the cheap one. Being that it's a family computer, does it always need to be signed in? or can it be on the log in screen on standby?

1 question. Why not a microSD wifi card? Wouldn't that be better? I mean internet through bluetooth would be HORRIBLY slow. Like slower then edge. Like file transfer slow. IMHO, I think a wifi card would be better. But then again, it would be more expensive.

Sickest app for android/ car enthusiast! Period!

I dont know if I am behind the curve on this one but this is so awesome! Check out the video on "Torque". That is what the "app" is called (at least on the android market). It has every gauge and even real time graphs you can save for data logging! Definitely ordering this for my phone tonight and will update when I receive it! If its half as cool as the video then for $35 bux what more do you want?!?!
http://ian-hawkins.com/
Its the 2nd video down!
I ordered the OBD2 Bluetooth unit for $28 shipped.
I got the OBD2 today in the mail (4 business days )and just went for a test drive around the block and I am really....really surprised how it seems like there is no lag in data. The gauges also show my coolant temp lower on the OBD2 (phone). The gauges keep track of the highest point (any parameter) and there is even an option for mpg average and instant! For $28 + $4.99 for the app (I am using the free app right now). This is the best/ coolest phone app I have seen. I know OBD2 data logging isn't the best and I will be installing a egt/ boost gauge in the future but this is what your truck computer reads and calculates its performance on so its good for me too!! You can pick what you want the program to data log then it updates the information to your profile on the app website.

Will any bluetooth obd2 connector work with these apps? I have one that I've been using with a winmo app on my axim but the updates for the app are insanely expensive. Like $200. It would be awesome to have a new app, especially on android.

It basically allows you to see in real time what your engine and its computer are talking about behind your back. You can even shut the computer up with it also if it gets to whining about it and your engines problems.

Do a search on youtube. There's a few good videos that'll break it down for you.
