So I found a replacement housing for my new (to me) Hero on Ebay and was wondering if that's a fair price or if I can get new parts for cheaper someplace else. I wanna make this thing look brand new. The screen is perfect so all I'd need to replace is the housing.

I have a tilt that has a cracked screen and housing, other than that it works fine. I just had it replaced by AT&T so now I would like to sell the old one. It was only 3 weeks old when it broke (dog bit down on it once) and everything but the housing and screen are mint.
My question is; where is the best place to sell the tilt for parts? I really don't want to go through the ebay hassle for $100.
Thanks for the info...
Jeff
I am interested in buying it, would you pm me pictures of it?
Hey guys, i`m trying to sell my Xperia X1 to move onto other cooler phones. But I need a new screen as this one has some nasty scratches on it , plus the <space> key has somehow broken (still working tough) and the case doesnt look that good.
So basically, i`m here to ask you where can I buy some good and cheap replacements (case, screen, keys) for my xperia, as I am in UK.
P.S. I want to trade it in plus some cash for another phone. Android or maybe an iPhone if anyone here is interested
Have phun!
Your best bet is to sell it as is. You won't make much, but u'll likely be better off financially than you would be buying a new housing and screen. There is no such thing as a cheap housing or cheap screen. If they aren't OEM, they don't fit or work properly.

1 quick question.
In case my T-Mobile HD2 "glass" breaks, all I would need is a 60 dollar Digitizer for the T-Mobile off ebay right ?
No soldering needed ? Just snap-off the broken one and snap on the new one ?
Has anybody done this ?
Just asking for peace of mind.. I like having getaway options.

Apparently it is much more difficult than that. And most of the ones for sale at Ebay are not compatible with the US version. You really need the digitizer with the LCD attached. I just had mine fixed by HTC and it is supposed to cost $120. But they have not charged my credit card yet. The price is actually cheaper than that quoted to me by a seller in Hong Kong. I opted for peace of mind knowing that it will be fixed properly by HTC and if not they will replace it. Plus I get 90 day warranty on the repair.
Well there are some on ebay who specify in their listing "T-Mobile HD2 only digitizer"
Question is, is it easy to pull out just the Digitizer on the US HD2 and get it replaced without sending to HTC ?

I'm going with No. I have done a few before for different phones and unless your quite skilled with electronics and mobile screens then it's not worth it. As stated, get a digitizer with LCD attached already. You physically have to separate the digitizer and the LCD which is very difficult. They are usually glued/taped together and you risk getting dirt in between and cracking the LCD anyway. Get them already together then just disassemble, install, reassemble. Save you $$ in the long run.
Hello
Does anyone know where I can buy real original spare parts?
I need a replacement for the Main Camera Module and a new Backcover.
I already ordered a Camera Module which should be original, but it wasn´t.
So I am looking for real original parts
Thanks

I think you can't find them anywhere. The only way to get them is by sending your phone back where you bought it and then they'll send it to LG. You can find spare parts for example on eBay but they will never be original.
Tell me if I'm wrong
rounded.com has quiet a few spare parts for our N5x
I bought my replacement screen, digitizer, and battery from Witrigs. $90 after shipping, took 2 weeks to get to Texas from China. worked great until last week when it decided it didnt like being 1 piece, and the screen cracked for no reason.

Sent using XDA One
I just ordered a new back cover last week from here: https://www.fixez.com/store/lg/lg-google-nexus-5x
They don't specify if it is OEM or not, but the fit and finish is superb!
I was able to get a lens cover replacement for mine on Amazon.
It was $6 and cheaper than getting a whole new back plate. Installation was simple once I got the phone pried open.
Hello guys,
Yesterday, I dropped my phone by mistake and cracked the screen, so I went online to look for replacement (I can change it by myself) and ended up not knowing what I exactly need.
My question is do I need this https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Free-Shipping-for-HTC-One-M8-LCD-Screen-Display-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-Assembly/800156_2046697346.html?src=google&albch=search&acnt=479-062-3723&isdl=y&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&albcp=304964476&albag=11402194156&slnk=&trgt=dsa-62796764476&plac=&crea=64152582916&netw=g&device=c&mtctp=b&memo1=1t1&gclid=Cj0KEQjwsO6-BRDRy8bsxfiV2bkBEiQAF8EzKAy1YydCzYq8AeRHSHbDCTHSTlwdXW_P3EdSkpvs4GMaAqWj8P8HAQ to replace my screen?
It would be easier to just purchase the lcd and digitizer with front housing. The 3 pieces would be already assembled. IMHO it is just easier to spend the few extra dollars to avoid a possible hassle. And, for the record this is the route i went when i replaced mine. I only buy from sellers located in the U.S. to avoid warranty/replacement issues of parts (if you live in the U.S.).
Here is a quick Ebay search of what I'm talking about. HTC M8 LCD+Digitizer+Frame

Hey,
Thank you for the reply and no I am not from US.
So, this one should work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-HTC-ONE-M8-LCD-Display-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-Frame-Replacement-Assembly-/282122816484?hash=item41afd48be4:g:5pgAAOSwaB5XowrM
I'm not a fan of parts from China and Honk Kong. But yes, that will work. Just remember, be free of static, disconnect the battery as soon as you get the rear cover off, and wear anti-static gloves designed for electrical devices and components. Good luck!
