Does this rom has any problem with external sd?
Can we transfer files to both internal and external storage? I still found I couldn't transfer files from my computer to my vibrant with JK6
Flashes great, works great!
Had no problems flashing this ROM, very neat, already has the new camera updated, trimmed down, running very smoothly, can't wait for future Toxic-themed and tweaked version(s)
Excellent, excellent work!

I have no problems with file transfers, I applied TW's SD fix in this rom and it works great. I actually get really fast transfers (over 14mb/s) on large files =)

I'll differentiate from main nexus s custom rom Bionix (cause CM7 is still unstable).
The different kernel: Netarchy kernel is much more stable than Trinity, i never had a random reboot, instead with trinity and bionix rom i had something like 3 reboots per day.
This is why i decided to bake a rom.
Another difference is that i'm keeping the rom light and clean, without putting useless apps.
Oh and with bionix you can't find some apps in market (like flash), with mine those apps are available

tried your rom mate. anychance you could add the reboot menu in power function? plus it seems to have an old market for some reason?

I've not tried this ROM yet so I apologise .... does this ROM have the drop down power control widgets like in cyanogen ? I like that feature a lot, widgetsoid doesn't replicate this sufficiently for me so if the drop down power control widget could be included then this sounds pretty perfect to me, a nice "light" ROM...
thanks in advance

Convenient I just asked Jellette for a port of this. Will flash shortly.
Dang tunefoo. You answered my prayers son! Im as proud of you as a father would be of a son. You shocked me with this one.lol! I was just salivating over darkys 9.4 rom today and dam you've ported it. Love your tenacity man! You're doing your best to bring it for us just as the other fine developers we have in the vibrant thread. Ill give some feedback in a few. I need to talk to you about a few other ports also. Pm me. I just got in. Thanks for taking the suggestion regarding overstock!
Does the fact that those are i9000 themes matter as to our own flashing? Wouldn't the theme have to first be ported...? They're beautiful though. I'll probably flash this and one of those later in the week when I have some spare time.
Besides some misplaced text, you can. Just open the zip and delete services.jar in the archive and you'll be good.

No it don't mattere. Typically if you delete the service.jar and scv.jar from system/framework from the theme it immediately allows you to flash themes compatible with the rom build.(JS7, JS8 examples) that's what makes all this **** great about whats happening in our thread right now. The marriage of Vibrant & Galaxy S compatible themes and stuff right now is so exciting. I'm always floored at the themes coming out of the I9000 themes and apps thread as well as our vibrant thread. So refreshing that this is happening. Cheers Man!
What kernel and modem did you package with this? And did you implement all the fixes available for the vibrant (ie gps and what not)? Can't wait to try it!

Just use root explorer or astro file manager and go into system/frameworks. Click on frameworks and you will see service.jar & svc.jar. Delete those 2 files close up then copy revised zip to internal SD as you would any other flash, flash IN CW and you should be good to go. Good Luck!

goddamn i wish we had a bell sbf
I assume this is the project you've been working on? I can't tell you how many times I've been refreshing these forums just to see what you've done!
Is an SBF flash necessary, or can I just flash from recovery (running gingerblur 1.3)?
Screenshots added to the second post for easiness.
Hope you guys like it. This is definitely a "beta" release work-in-progress. I learned a heck of a lot about theming with this project. Going to hugely benefit future projects.

Feel free to flash over GingerBlur. But if you have any problems, don't say I didn't warn you that an SBF flash was needed.
I flashed over GingerBlur and it worked fine. But I made some noob mistakes with GingerBlur that might screw with things. We'll see.
Very nice!! Might go ahead and try it out tomorrow!
I am soo gonna try this out!! Thanks alot Kenn!!
By the way. I'm a terrible graphic designer, so if you see any icons that look out-of-place or plain not good, just tell me!
Looking for theme criticism on this one.

There's no way I'll be able to remember all of the mods. Mostly check the settings.db modifications and build.prop. It's a few things.
I installed it and it looks great , but I lost my gingerbread keyboard ?

That's not a part of the ROM.
I can package up a Gingerbread keyboard MOD .zip if you'd like. I'll post it in a minute.
This is ported VUVKD1 ROM which is an official update from Samsung for Vibrant 4G.
- Deodexed
- Rooted
- BLOAT included
- Stock boot and shutdown animation
- EDT GPS fix
- Movie link to "inception" was removed
- 4G status icon was removed to avoid confusion
- KB1 modem
- Bali 1.8.2 Voodoo kernel
Like most ROM, flash using CWM and wait for about 10 - 15 minutes, then reboot.
Thanks:
Luckyduck69 - for providing KD1.
Eugene - for the initial framework sd fix
Whitehawkx - for sd mod on Settings
EDT team - for GPS fix
Supercurio - for voodoo goodness

Is this ROM compatible with the original Samsung Vibrant (3G)? I'm a bit confused since it references that it is a "port" from the 4G. I don't want to install it on my 3G version and screw it up. Thanks kindly.

No but you can put it in yourself. I already included rambooster with this ROM and Bali kernel also already have its own built in tweak which include good battery life. Give it a try ..
Does this include the badges on the MMS and EMail apk's that the 4G has?
Thanks, going to check this out.
Is this dependent on Bali?
Have you noticed if the frameworm is resistant to change like the leaks were?
Still have menu lag?
Finally, now you have to re-port the power options and locks! Fun.

You can use other kernel if you want, is not dependent on Bali. I haven't try any other changes besides mount point so haven't notice it. Looks like I'll find out soon enough since I'm working to port whitehawkx's power/lock options. As for menu lag .. yeah it does .. on and off for me. Any idea how to get that fix?

Hope the menu lag gets fixed someday... does the SGS4G also have this menu lag or is it only after porting it?
