Mate, the 2.2.1 was ported by Cyanogen already. As for the port from that specific ROM, you want a bit to much. My advice is to wait a bit until they finish porting sense UI to galaxy S line. You won't need anything else then.
Besides, why bother porting it over when we'll have our own official release soon?

im well aware this thread is very abandoned, but this is a good question. XDAndroid is 2.2 froyo, and a previous version was ported. Could someone port the update to the imagio? this is coming from an absolute porting noob, and any help would be greatlt appreciated. thanks

And I would like to install new custom ROM.
Can you recommend me what ROM I should install and what are the steps ?

Best advice for you is to look around the Development section at what ROMs are available. All are very well made and the threads for them are usually very informative and give easy to follow instructions to allow you to flash the custom ROM.
You should be careful posting questions like this, some people may flame you a bit as they'll tell you that you should just look into the threads and learn

They post that stuff because someone who doesn't know how to get back to 2.2.1 shouldn't have installed 2.3.3.

should help you out abit mate, remember any 2.3.3 will not be completly stable,, im on darkys 9.3 Rom with 2.2.1 i think i wil wait till Gingerbread is official and a good rom like Darkys V10 is final before i make the jump.
Official gingerbread as of now .So it will be in the rom kitchens soon and adapted by the end of the week .
Best rom choice build your own in the rom kitchen .

i found a rom for wildfire_s_cdma,yes,it's a cdma wildfire_s for chinatelcom,and this rom is 2.3+sense2.1
as we know,wildfire_s is HVGA,and this is a cdma wildfire_s,i wish someone can port this for hero200

here we go again your like the 3rd person to try and do this the froyo sense wildfire port isnt even stable yet and its been around for months be prepared to get flamed my friend lmaol.
I just bought a new i9000 and I want to upgrade it to the latest OS possible (hope ICS 4.0 is available)..
I am REALLY a beginner in this..so please I need a tutorial from the scratch..

I am not very good in the development things and I don't have much know-how, so I have to post "unnecessary" questions.
I am waiting for ICS for my Samsung Galaxy S Plus, currently running Android 2.3.5. I know that an official version won't be released, so I need a Rom.
At first, I thought that a SGS + is just a "tuned" version of the I9000, but I think this is wrong. So I can't use a I9000- Rom for my I9001.
But is there a rom currently in development? Is somebody portating the I9000 Roms for the I9001?
I can't find another thread to post my question. This is simply:
How can I get a working Rom of ICS for my SGS + (I9001)?

Wait for a dev to port it to i9001

Wait until one or more ROM developers (dev, devs) port an existing ICS ROM to I9001.
Ah, okay, now I've understood. Does it need a long time until such a port exists? I've seen lots of Roms for the I9000, but no one for the I)001... is there no Dev Team that is interested in a port for the 9001? Or is it easyer to take a 9000 rom and port it for the 9001 because it i quite similar!?
