Where can i download the most stable verson of froyo?
okay i downloaded the cyanogenmod vanilla but now i need a link to tell me how to install it. please help
you need to put it on the root of your sd card and then flash from recovery. Download rom manager from the market is an easy way to flash rom and also recovery image. Do a search in the devolopment thread , there are many tutorials.

Hi, this might be a very simple question and easy to answer but i just want to make sure i do it correctly as i am flashing CM7 for the first time, I am currently using Stock 2.3.4 rooted with unlocked bootloader.
My first question is that the file i download is update-cm-7.0.3N1-signed.zip, so do i need to rename the file to update or no need when flashing it?
Also with CM7 do i need to root the phone or its already rooted and i will have super user permissions?
Also is there a link where i can download the Google apps all together rather than downloading one at a time.
Thanks.
no need at all. just flash a clockworkmod recovery then select "apply zip from sdcard" after which you can select any zip file on your card.
it's rooted. plz find the link to gapps zip on CM wiki.
Or plz just read the update guide carefully plz thX.
//but CM 7.0.3 doesn't seem to be fixing the axis-flipping problem which is alright on 6.1.1
I cannot post external links here yet, but here your gapps are:

Interanal same thing
How do i fix this?
Your link to the ROM is broken. What ROM are you trying to use? Revolt?
Have you rooted your phone and installed the recovery software?
If you have a stock phone, it is on V6, and you will need to downgrade to V4 before you can root the phone and install a custom ROM. You can do that by following these instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1211295 (To register the DLL, open a CMD as administrator, then type 'regsvr32.exe "C:\LGElectronics\LGNPST\MOdels\VS910.dll" ')
After that you will need to root your phone, Superoneclick is one of the ways to do it. The newest version didn't work for me, but version 1.6.3 did.
Then you need to install a recovery program, the easiest way is with RevoToolKit. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144951
Then you can reboot into recovery and install a custom ROM. Of course it's probably a good idea to back up your current system first.

I have rooted my phone, and what do you mean recovery software? And i fixed the ROM.
Clockworkmod is the recovery software, that's what installs the ROM. You have to reboot into recovery in order to access it.

I have ROM Manager From Clockworkmod, but the thing is when i try to flash my ROM it asks me to verify my phone model, but it shows a bunch of tablet models and doesnt have the lg revolution?
Rom Manager doesn't work with the revolution yet. Use the revotoolkit to install the version of clockwork that thecubed ported over, and then you'll be able to flash revolt 1.5

Took me a while to get that figured out, too... some trial and error finally got it so I could boot CWM into recovery mode, then installed the Revolt mod from the zip file. All seems to be going well now

you are still running stock recovery.
ROM Manager doesn't work on Captivate phone at all. You need to read stickies in the captivate forums, then use Odin or Helmdall app on your pc to flash via usb.
your first step should be to uninstall rom manager.
then read about rooting and flashing roms in the stickies in the Captivate fotums. I recommend you do this instead of someone giving you a link to single thread.
if you will flash a stock Gingerbread kk4 rom after rooting your phone, then flash the Corn 7.06 kernel, you will have the recovery menu that allows you to flash Jelly Bean roms.
reading the stickies will help you understand what you are doing, reduce the chance that you have any problems, and help you understand how to recover if you do have any problems.
my first ever flash failed and because I had read the threads, it only took a couple of minutes to recover. reading the threads before is good.

Hi All,
was trying to install cm11 and cm12 on n7000 bt it failed i had installed philwz custom recovery with that it gave me error
i had bricked my device bt now i have managed to install the stock rom
my device is rooted need help in installing cwm recovery so that i can install cm11 or cm12 or any other rom
how do i install cwm tried many ways.. need flash files to install it with odin
also i searched in forums bt am confused regarding kernal and all
Please need assistance
Thank u very much.
I think you're in the wrong section. anyway,
1. if you're still on stock recovery, try install Philz kernel(search in the forum) for your stock ROM, Install it using update function in the stock recovery.
2. reboot to recovery again, you'll have philz recovery (but it's outdated for flashing android KK and above ROM, but you have to install it first since it pass the stock recovery verification) then flash kernel that compatible with android KK n android L.
3. then reboot to recovery again, and finally install your cm11 or 12 ROM and the following Gapps they provide
I Tried that bt still not able to find the correct version for my mobile if you guide me for the proper link/ direct link i can provide all the information required
thanks
You can find it following this:
3.flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 (http://d-h.st/OTu) to get cwm recovery by using odin or mobile odin (To download click the blue Download now button)
