You need a android-info.txt file inside the HERCIMG.zip. I'm not too sure it matters really what's in it since it should ignore the versions/what ever is in it. But you could try the one I have attached.

I just got my 8125 yesterday and tried to CID unlock the phone, but aWizard doesn't want to function. I unzipped the aWizard files to C:\awizard\ and triedseveral times. No matter what command I choose in aWizard, I get "The system cannot find the path specified." (See attached screenie.) I also get the same error if using lokiwiz.
BTW, even though it says the procedure is completed, nothing really happened; the program is just failing at what it's doing and completing its run anyway.
I know that the phone is communicating with the PC because I can do all the usual AS things -- sync, copy files, etc. I've tried using different USB ports and sync cables, too, but nothing helps. Existing OS is build 14410.1.1.3.
Any tips?
Have you tried manually installing the "EnableRapi.cab" the phone and then running aWizard or lokiwiz? the file should be on both apps, in aWizard check to make sure it's in the "lib" folder and in lokiwiz it should be extracted in plain sight.
There is no "lib" folder in my aWizard directory (see below), but the file is there, and it's in the lokiwiz directory, too. And, yes, I did copy and run the file on the 8125 as well.
That's what's so weird; I can't figure out why this works so easily for other folks but not for me. It must be something pretty basic, but I can't get it.

Which version of aWizard are you using? the lib folder should be there. Did you download it from this thread?

Try redownloading it, because the aWizard.cmd is set up to look for the file in the "lib" folder, so try that it should work. Good luck, let me know what happens.
P.S if you want open up the aWizard.cmd or bat file with notepad, press ctrl and f to bring up a search box, and put in enablerapi. Check to see what's the path to the file. If you find this line "lib\cecopy lib\EnableRapi.cab dev:\ >NUL" then hopefully the file being in the wrong place was the problem.
Yup, that's where I got it from -- 1.2b3. If you download the zip file and open it, you'll see that there's no archived folder structure, and the readme doesn't specify how one should be created. What file(s) should show up in the "lib" folder? Maybe I can change the directories and test. Thanks!
EDIT: Yes, that line is in there. So, should I create a directory \lib and put some of the existing files in it? If so, which ones?

Hot damn! I made the directory and put all the .dll and .exe files into it, and it appears to have worked!
masr, you rock! Thanks so much!!
Ok glad to hear it bro. For future reference, everything but the aWizard.cmd file should be in the lib folder, though I hope you won't have to use it again for the time being.
Can you zip back up a file into a .apk? or do i have to edit with in the .apk through 7zip?

Do you sign it first? or rename and sign the apk?
Did the apk disappear? If not, right click it, navigate in the pop-up menu to 7zip->open, drag the stuff you edited into its appropriate spot, close the 7zip window, and you're done! I like to resign at this point, some people say that it is not necessary. For me, it is a simple right-click to do, so I just always do it. YMMV.
You dont need too. When you modify files in the .apk all you need to do is drag the /res folder to your working folder. When you're done, drag it back. Thats it.
So, is it only necessary to sign update.zips? What is the criteria for when something must be resigned?

All you have to do is unzip them, edit the files you want; in another window open the original apk file (one you extracted to work on) use 7zip - open archive, then drag the files you changed into the archive in the appropriate folders in the archive, close and you are done. I just push them back to the phone via adb, not sure if you would have to resign the zip, if you pulled the apk file out of a flashable zip file.

OHHHH Okay I get it now.. Sorry I didnt go back to it when you said that I thought you didn't understand me, but now I see its quite opposite.. Thanks a lot man.
ok, so I've made some modifications to the default theme but I cannot seem to get a .zip that will flash. I've just transferred them straight to my hero using android commander, which works.
But anyway, it doesn't really matter if no one wants to use it, right? so here are some screenshots, if someone could help me out that would be much appreciated.
easiets way is to look inside a rom.zip
Take out the files META-INF and System
go through the meta-inf folder until you get to update-script and open it in notepad.
Delete everything except the first show progress line and the on saying copy package:SYSTEM or something very similar.
Go back to the system folder and open that, depending what files you are trying to flash you need to keep and empty those files....
if your changing rosie.apk its in system/app so empty system>app and put rosie.apk inside it.
Framework-res.apk is inside system>framework so put it there
When you have finished putting your files in go back to where META-INF and system are,Add them to an archive (.zip) and then resign! if you are unsure of the siging process please search google on how to resign update.zip
quick question here .. I notice that when I recompile I get a Keep Folder and it says to delete the files that I have edited .. like say .9.png
when I delete the original file out of the keep foler and continue, the finished apk has those files that I deleted out of the keep folder gone .. didnt save with what i had edited or the original.
When I dont remove the file it just saves with the original un-edited image or what not.
So i guess im not real sure how to use this recompile feature .. doesnt make sense that neither way will keep the edited file from projects folder.
Am I supposed to delete the files in the keep folder and just manually drop them in the apk later on?
any help would be great thanks!
Can someone find the folder that houses the folders data/com.dropbox.android. I created a folder on my device and when naming it, it also renamed an important folder. Now my thumbnails wont load for dropbox and a few other things were moved. like com.google.android.youtube. Important things. Can some find the folder that those are suppose to be in? Weird how it let me rename it. I try renaming it now and it errors. So im just gonna copy all the files in there and move the to the new CORRECT folder. Please and thank you.
99% of the com.anything folders are located in Android/Data/, so in your case, it would be Android/Data/com.dropbox.android
