I cannot push via adb right now due to the lack of an at home PC............ I don't think my ps3 can do it since Sony took the happy out of it with their last few firmware updates.
If you have the apk, why cant you just install it using a file manager? Or, if you want it in /system/app/ you can download estrongs file manager, which has root access then just copy the apk into that directory.

I did this. Copied file to system app folder via root explorer. Then tried to install and got "application not installed".
Rebooted and tried again, same result. Any thoughts?
HI, I downloaded the Go Keyboard through the android market because it has spell check and looks better than the default keyboard. I know with Color tools the keyboard has to be in the sys folder. My question is where does the market download to by default? I can see the keyboard in the program list but am unable to find it using astrofile manager. Thanks for any help.
edit: Found out that Astro file manager is unable to work with root folders so I'm going to need a diff root explorer.
You can use Root Explorer from market
Thanks I used ES file explorer. It's free
Fixed please close
I have the same problem with es file manager. It seems like it can´t get root access. Root file explorer works so i have root but it´s interesting to know why.
so I deleted a lot of things I didn't need, one of those being the stock file manager with the blue icon named "files" and now I can't enable apps to write to the SD card because apparently it needs that app to grant SD card usage and I can't find it anywhere, does anyone can share it please?
thanks in advance
EDIT:
managed to get it by merging the sparsechunks to create a .img file and then extracting it, if you ever need it here is the guide:
