OK.. here is the problem, i cant root my phone. And belive me, i have been trying for hard in weeks...

Since you stated you hsve been trying hard for weeks.. This is the only method that I think will work for you:
Flash hardcore's k10h kernel.

Activate superuser (root).
Reboot.
Try reading the xda forum more moving forward.

Yes, as stated, read the faq's, all the information is there, take your time, it is a learning process and you need to do it otherwise if things go wrong you will just panic! Enjoy

[Q] S3 mini AMA2 safe root

Hello dear XDA Community,
since I got my I900 a while back XDA became my most valued page when I tried another ROM or simply when rooting my device and, way more often than I liked it, when something broke. So far a registration wasn’t necessary because I could find my answer anyway.
But since I got my new phone, S3 mini I got very cautious when it comes to changing anything on my device. I’d like to root it to start off but it seems I can’t find a proper way to do it for my phone.
My Phone
Model: GT-I8190
Android: 4.1.2
Bandversion: I8190XXAMA2
Kernel: 3.0.31-809600 [email protected]#2 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 9 16:20:48 KST 2013
Build: JZO54K.I8190XXAMA2
I’m from Germany and my carrier is O2 but the phone is not branded and has no SIM lock.
So to get back to business: Is there a stable and working method to root my phone via Odin (my preferred way)?
Thanks in advance

You can flash cwm in odin, then flash supersu.zip with cwm.
It will increase your custom binary download but triangle away take care of that.
Then I believe a factory reset will get your system status back from custom to official.
Otherwise you can just flash a prerooted Stock rom.

Will it be rooted than? So that i can use i.e. titanium backup with all features?
And where do i find a fitting cmw version?

Why wouldn't it be rooted if you root it?
Pre rooted firmware I8190XXAMA2 4.1.2 (OXX multi-csc, PDA: I8190XXAMA2, CSC: I8190OXXAMA2)
I believe theres a searchfunction in this forum as well

Tank you very much!!
I did infact use the search and also found posts about rooting the s3 mini but never for the ama2 and this is why i opened this thread.

From Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread

Hello XDA members, I'm having a little problem here
I've been trying to flash my Samsung Galaxy S from Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3.4 but couldn't seem to find a good tutorial with good links. All the link i tried were even dead or removed. I tried flashing my phone with Clockwork but every time an app tries to gain root acces my phone just freezes and then the app force closes, I dont know why tho but the only option there is left is flashing it with Odin right? Or am I wrong, could someone link me to a good tutorial?
My phone:
GT-I9000 Froyo 2.2
I9000XXJPP
FROYO.XXJPO
Well?

Now can i install a new rom (updated) and if i do, which rom can i install????? sorry if i said wrong things but i have read many guides but i did not understand anythin
in recovery mode there is written andorid system recovery 3e.
pda: I9000BGJP3
PHONE: I9000XXJPK
CSC: I9000XECJP2
BUOLD INFO: 2010. 11
p.s.: sometimes the phone have some errors : Home appliocation (process com.sec..android.app.twlauncher) was suddently arrested ...... and i reboot smartphone..... and another error tells me that removed the internal memory (and i still restart)
upgrade rom solves these errors????
thanks a lot all
(sorry for my english)
Hey,
Yeah, upgrading even to a 2.3.6 version should solve those probles, but JB is also pretty stable
For starters, if your phone is an I9000, then I think you should be able to flash in any 2.3.6 rom for the I9000 to root... But I'm not sure about this, mine hasn't been branded so someone else might be able to give a bit more info on whether its safe.

Yeah, you should be able to (I don't think it'll cause any problems), and your sim should work fine with an Italian 2.3.6 rom. PM me at some point if you want instructions

Yes should work. Never had 2.2 on my galaxy. Use Odin to flash a new stock firmware. Search for your country so you get your APN settings. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9000&pcode=-1#firmware
Here is a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1259240
Or you try it with Samsung Kies
