Is anyone aware of a way to disable the NC arrow menu (i.e. for those of us running other launchers)?
I find that the things *seriously* gets in the way of typing. I hit it when going for the spacebar all the time unless I'm being super careful and typing slowly.

On my Fuze, I constantly hit the home button when trying to hit the left key, and is driving me nuts. Does anyone have any options for me to try? I'm even willing to disable the dang thing. Just don't know how.
I find very few reasons to hit the d pad keys, other than maybe up/down. Use your swipe gestures on the screen for left/right for most purposes... That's my best advice.
You can try G-Scroll, with that you just swipe you fingers on the touch panel at the bottom to move left, right, up, down and you can also launch apps
the problem is when I do have to use the d-pad. like a game that i'm playing "Peggle" it is very annoying when the game exits and I have to navigate to find the game shortcut, or use task manager. either way it happens all the time.
Can I use g-scroll in all applications?

I think, but I cost money
The Dpad is VERY annoying. My idea (which doesn't seem very popular) is to unmap the functions of the Home and Back button presses completely so they don't interfere with the dpad.
So we don't lose our Home and Back buttons, I suggested remapping the functions to the Home-HOLD and Back-HOLD functions.
This way the only time you actually would go home would be if you press and held the button for a second.
Unfortunately I don't think this is possible right now. The only way to remap the keys is via AEButtonPlus, which works but is clunky and has to run all the time. I'd much rather see a real remap
Or you can use DredSensor...
Hi, is there a way to change the buttons in the bottom black menu on a stock rooted nook? Not sure what the proper term for that menu is. But it needs a back button. I don't like having softkeys running and would prefer to just add the button to the strip at the bottom of the screen.
Thanks.
Personally, I don't get everyone's fascination with soft keys on a stock-rooted nook. You can just swipe right to left on that bar you are talking about and it *is* a 'back' key. I shut off soft keys right away and have yet to actually need it.

I think it's mainly for apps that use full screen. Since you have access to the Market, and there are so many apps that use full screen, it's a must have. For example, Angry Birds. With just the hardware key, you would not be able to go back or use the menu. Also, any non native nook apps lose their menu without them. For things that came with the nook, it doesn't matter.
Before you think i'm crazy let me explain why i want it.
I want to be able to hold my nook however i want with out the fear i might turn the page by accident. Where it my be my fingers touching the screen, the sheets or cookie crumbs.
So, im looking for an app that will disable the touch screen and can be linked to a hardware button(any turn page button, probably the left ones as i use those the least) whether by script of done by the app itself.
CoolReader have a possibility to disable touchscreen while reading. It can be assigned to some of the page-turning buttons - press a button, double press or long press.
I tried some tool called Screen tools 1 and i manage to "disable" touch but it would disable the buttons as well. I'll try coolreader, thanks for the tip
Hey guys, I just started up with CM7, and so far, mostly good.
One thing that's bugging me though is using the nook button as the home. I use my NC in bed a lot and it makes a rather's loud click.
There must he a way to add a Dahomey button to the soft keys in the bottomleft without installing softkeys.
Also, the swipe up notifications keeps getting hit when I'm typing. While I like the functionality of it, I don't love what of does to my ability to type spaces.
Any help?
Edit - figured it all out. Why can't I find the deletepost button?
Hey everyone.
I'm running cm9 rc1 one my n7000 and was wondering if anyone knows of a way to change the way the home button works.
In particular I'd like a short press to open multitasking and use long press to send me to the home screen.
My thought is that it'll greatly improve my Workflow.
Leaving the long press for the end of my session/sending me home.
If not, does anyone know of any other fast and simple way to access multitasking? Gesture? Bezzel touch?
Something that works system wide and frees me from the interruption of long presses.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
