Permanently Disable "ADB Enabled Notification" From Showing in The Status Bar
over on sdx-developers there was a thread for the moment that would disable the USB debugging notification (http://forum.sdx-developers.com/and...-notification'-from-showing-in-the-status-bar) and it also worked for my Epic4G. my cuz has the droid and i tried this with the his phone and all that happened is that the notification was stuck on all the time. i am not familiar with the droid much so i was wondering if anyone here could lend a hand. hes running chevy rom 4.9. if u guys need 2 know anything else please let me know thanks

no one knows?

WiFi Toggle Issue

So, I've been rooted since the leaked JB came out and have had Batakang V1.0 installed and running almost flawlessly, for a while now. The only issue I have is that WiFi toggles are inconsistent and unreliable on my phone. Using Power Toggles in the notification pulldown menu results in a yellow WiFi symbol which usually means WiFi is turning on. This never occurs. I go to Settings and the WiFi toggle there is greyed out (not able to be toggled). I go one step further and click on WiFi to get to the menu where you can select the WiFi network you want to connect to, and its blank, leading me to believe that the previous two toggles have done nothing.
When I use the toggle in the advanced WiFi menu it will switch to on for a second and I will get a message that says "turning on..." but it switches right back to off and the screen is stuck like that.
Now if I keep sliding the toggle over repeatedly I can generally get it to turn on after about 15 or 20 times. Sometimes 30. Sometimes I have to back out of settings and go back in and try another ten times. Sometimes I have to restart the phone.
It was just a minor annoyance at first but its really bugging me now and I would love for someone to help me out here. Have any of you had this issue or is it just me?
I've been debating on whether to try it out. Might give it a shot.
batakang has this problem.
I'll guess I'll give Golden ROM a try then.... thanks fellas.
Glad to see I have some strong supporters
Well I've installed Golden ROM and the issue persists. I did a clean install so it must be an issue with my personal device. Any ideas?
This has been an issue since the JB OTA. Not rom related.

Notification LED

Hi,
is there a possibility to change the notification-led settings? Like that the LED should shine instantly or blink so long till i unlock the phone?
Thanks...
(I´ve the One for 2 days now and want to install TrickDroid)
There's not much you can do with the led
And you should flash trickdroid
Hmm, but why? Is it not possible to change the kernel "a little bit" so you can config the led?
You can download a led app from Google play but you got to be rooted it doesn't work very well
There's also LightFlow, but apparently there's some serious compatibility issues with the One at the moment. Perhaps when there's an update.
so as of right now, there is no way to extend the duration of the flashing led notification without rooting? it really doesn't make sense that it would turn off after a few minutes. it seems obvious that it should remain blinking until you've viewed the notification...or is it just me? can this be done if the phone has been rooted?

Recently the screen in my N6 always turning on w/o doing nothing

Hi!
As i wrote, the screen just turning on without doing nothing.
I'm not touching...Only move it within my palms and the screen turnes on.
Anyone heard about that?
Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
It's called ambient display. Makes your screen turn on when the phone is moved after your screen turns off.
Basicly a replacement for the lack of a led light(talking non rooted non custom rom here)
OR.. it could also be an app, thats turning your screen on. there are many apps that do this, you should read your apps permissions.
Just turned off ambient display.
But...does it mean that now I wont get any notifications during phone at sleep?
Tnx!
Ambient display doesn't use much extra battery, it only illuminates the pixels its displaying and it keep the phone in a low power state.
It is your phone's stock visual notification system, so yes if you turn it off you won't get any visual notifications. If your phone is set to vibrate or make notification noises it will still do that. The phone does have an LED behind the speaker, so if you are rooted you can install something like lightflow to use your phone's LED for notifications instead/as well.

I don't use light flow, but I have heard of many having issues using that app. what I use is s ROM that allows for colored notifications, then I set my colors within the ROMs options. BTW, pure nexus ROM.

oh snap, I just realized this is the same guy who was posting in the lightflow tutorial thread and was told how to do it multiple times.
He does not have "run all commands as root" check in the settings, and insist its not an option. He just needs to go through the settings and enable that like the popup window when you first launch light flow tells you.
You gotta look through your settings man. I don't know what else to tell you, I don't use that app anymore but I have. And unless you go through all the options in the settings menu... The app isn't going to be able to write to the kernels file system to turn the light on.
Maybe I'll just flash the pure nexus ROM.
I just dont get how to use this App.
Tnx!
I don't want to sound mean but if you Cant figure an app out I don't think you should be flashing ROMs

You click settings.... Your looking for something to do with running commands as root.
Did you check under the "device settings and root" menu?
Does he even have the paid version of light flow?

He said in another thread that he bought it... but that doesn't matter. I don't and I used it via the options I stated to have LED notification for basic stuff.
I have a question regarding ambient display. I know how it works and all that stuff, however, how many time the phone wakes up with the black/white screen? Because mine gets a notification, it shows it to me then without doing nothing it shows the notification again and again, every minute I guess for a long time. Is this normal?
Yes thats normal. Just like a notification LED will stay on, Ambient Display will show every now and again until you acknowledge the notification in case you missed it. Again, it uses almost no battery to do this, I have used the phone with it on and with it off and never really notice a difference.

Let's see if it would work now.
Thanks!

Help...LED Notification not working on "AllianceROM" (Lollipop v12 Final 10.07.2015)

Help...LED Notification not working on "AllianceROM" (Lollipop v12 Final 10.07.2015)
Hi everyone,
Forgive me if this has been answered and I've missed it, as I've not been able to find any information on this. I have indeed looked and searched though (and have posted this in another section a couple weeks ago).
I am not able to get the LED notifications to work at all. I've tried turning the notification off (and rebooting) and then back on (rebooting again) in system settings, but that doesn't work. I've tried "Light Manager" and "Light Flow" but they both don't seem to work at all.
The LED does in fact function as it lights up when charging (red) and charged (green), and when rebooting (blue).
I would love this function to work (for several things...gmail, text, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any ways to rectify this? I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Isn't there anybody who may be able to help...at all?
Anyone?

Signal strength indicator missing from status bar

I have a galaxy s10 and recently just purchased a galaxy watch active. Somewhere after pairing the watch my signal strength has disappeared from my status bar. Its nowhere to be found. I went to settings>status bar info and made sure it was enabled, I removed my theme, I changed my launcher back to stock. I unpaired and disconnected the watch and nothing seemed to bring it back. I reset all settings back to default and reset the network settings as well. To no avail, this is incredibly annoying. Does anyone know how in the world to fix this without a complete factory data reset??

You don't have Good Lock installed do you?
Nevermind, apparently I can fix it by downloading Goodlock and enabling it through there. Unfortunate that I'll need an additional application for that. If anyone though knows how to fix it without requiring Goodlock to be installed that would be preferred! Also, in case you're wondering no, I did not have Good Lock installed when the issue occurred. I only installed it after reading that I could use it to add or disable indicator icons in the status bar.. It worked
At the time that the issue occurred I did NOT have Good Lock installed. However by installing Good lock I managed to fix the problem. I read in another post here that you could enable and disable indicator icons, so I downloaded it and enabled all of them just to get it back. I would still like to figure out how to get it back without Goodlock installed, because I don't really care for Goodlock and quite literally the only reason I'll be using it is to be sure I have a signal strength indicator.. That's hardly worth it being installed, right?

No it's not. My thought was maybe you forgot it was already installed. But yea, no sense running a app you don't want to fix a problem that can surely be fixed another way. Maybe you could try wiping the cache partition, it probably won't help, but it can't hurt either.

Yeah, I thought would work also, and tried it earlier. Unfortunately, once again to no avail. It all seems to have happened shortly after purchasing my Galaxy Watch Active, which doesn't make sense and I'm assuming there is no correlation, but you never know. For now I'll just keep using Good Lock unless someone else arrives with a similar issue and possible fix.

I may have missed this, but you did try turning another indicator off didn't you? Apparently there is only so much space alloted because I can't make all of the indicators show at one time if I turn all of them on.

Yeah I tried all that. Interestingly enough by installing Goodlock and enabling everything and then removing Goodlock seems to have solved the problem. So in short I buy the Galaxy Active and suddenly my signal bars disappear from the status bar. I then install Goodlock to add them back via that application. I then removed Goodlock and the signal indicators are back even after a reboot. Android can be so mysterious. Hopefully this helps someone else.
