What's the best headset for the Nexus One?

I'm looking for a headset compatible with the Nexus One. I really want one that has volume control. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Does the Nexus support A2DP?

I was looking at bluetooth headphones and found a pair that I really like, but I forgot to check if the Nexus supports A2DP. Can somebody please confirm this for me?
Yes it does, I use my motorola s509 (I think that's the model number) all the type at the gym

Thanks, I was actually looking at a pair of moto ones. How is the quality? (and I think you got the model number wrong =p)
Well, I use a Motorola S9 & a Jabra BT620s for A2DP/AVRCP streaming... works like a charm and the stream quality is as good as it gets (frankly, it's sounds better than A2DP/AVRCP streaming from my PC)...
my older Sony DR-BT21G bluetooth headphones work great with the nexus and A2DP
Anyone else have problems with the sound cutting out a lot? I use motorolla s9's on my N1, but when I'm active they seem to cut out alot.

Mic / Music Controls Headset adapter?

I love my current headphones... (not new... not the best... certainly not the worst... Shure E3C's)
What I am looking for is an adapter which provides the music controls (pause / next / previous track) and possibly a mic....
Shure does make an adapter for the iPhone... but I have read that Apple pretty much changed what each lead goes to... so it would most likely not work.
Anyone know of an adapter for the phone?

I have a pair of these, in Shoe Red, they work phenomenally when tied with HTC Music + DroidShuffle, or another of music app that has headset controls built in.

Well I am really more interested in an adapter such as this: http://www.amazon.com/Shure-MPA-3C-Music-Adapter-iPhone/dp/B000UD205K
I have been told the iPhone adapters won't necessarily work on devices other than iPhones since Apple placed leads in different places than industry norm.
Can anyone confirm if this MPA-3C or equivalent works on the Galaxy Tab?
I dont think there is an adapter like that, sorry

Just tried my wife's HTC Wildfire handsfree with mic and I can confirm that it works!
This means any adapter designed for HTC Wildfire should work with Samsung GalaxyTab.
Edit: the model is HTC HS-U350
Been a while since I checked on this thread.
That last link was for the model with an answer end button.. The one I'm interested in has music controls.
Thanks though

Are you sure that works with DIncs? Seems to be specifically for i-products.

As I said, I am not sure if it would work with the DINC, but I would presume it would be workable if the player you use is headphone control friendly. I use PowerAmp paid version and it is listed as an option to enable. In my experience anything listed for the "iCan't" has worked for me other than the charger. I do not have a need for such a product but saw this and hoped it would help. I have seen other brands but none say that they will work for our phone or any other phone because "iCan't" is one standard phone and Android is run on numerous different platforms & devices.

I'm guessing you're talking about the microphone and headset controls. I don't know of any headphones other than the stock ones that come with Milestone that will work, but you can always try.

You can buy any iPhone compatible earphones. The only one with in-line mic and answer button. Not the control talk models (with volume up and down) because it got some problems with our phones. Pay attention for Samsung and Nokia compatible because they don't work: GND and Mic contacs are swapped on them (like OMTP standards and our Milestone is not OMTP compatible).

thread about headphones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=738448
just checked with the iPhone hands free its working fine but you may not able to answer call using hands free..
you cant pause music and cant control volume..!!
when you use it,,it changes the track..!
I think there is no standard protocol how head phone control is implemented, iphone head phones would sure onyl work with iphone.
If anyone cares sgs2 headphones are workin to play/pause.
I don't know if they work to answer a call because i don't use headphones to make/answer a call.

I have been using the Sony Ericsson MW600 for years and this sucker still works for the N7 as well. Best money ever spent on a bt headset. Also has FM transmitter as well, which is a bonus IMO. And yes I can skip and pause tracks.
As for video, there is lag so I wouldn't recommend it for that usage.
I think they are on sale on amazon's gold box deals for 40bux today.

Thanks for the reply.. actually it wasnt a headset I was after, but just an actual remote. So the setup is that I have nexus hooked up to powered speakers through a lead going out of the nexus & I want to effectively use my nexus as a media player (without have a nexus Q LOL)
