i just bought a new phone from fastcard tech the thing has a mavel 600mhz prossecor 240 400 screen and runs windows 6.5 and android, not at the same time. this is a really cool phone and all this for it works properly so i was just wondering if there is anything i can do to make the radio work better. i seen that they have differnt roms for the diamond but not sure if they will work because its a clone phone. part 2. can is use a wqvga diamond2 rom for windows? just wondering not needed.
if the moderators are intrested the getting the roms for this that make it dual boot i would be happy to upload but not sure how to extract files from the phone msg me if u want the roms.
There is a ROM thread specific for clones, other ROMs and radios will not work.

Just a little something to add if you flash a ROM for a TD2 it will brick your phone so the clone thread is the way to go

ROMs from other phones i'm not exactly sure, but i know its possible to port roms through the kitchen and make it fully usable for Herald/wing as Itje has done with porting a Kaiser rom

never use a rom from another phone if you don´t know completly what you are doing.
it is right you can port it.
and itje ported a polaris rom hehe
so i'm guessing that it's really not possible to flash another rom to my wing
You can flash any Herald or Wing ROM into your phone. (Or Atlas if you want to get picky... lol) But that's it. No Hermes ROM, no Polaris ROM, etc. Ignore the thing about porting, that's more info than needed and will confuse you.

here in germany are the Touch HD sold with a german operating system. As I know from the other htc devices I can change to the www rom for example to have it in english. I hate the bad translated german roms.
Now the big question. Will the Diamond tools work with the Touch HD? Like hardSPL and RUU tool. Would be great. Then I just would have to wait till someone is so nice to rip the english rom and I can put it on my device.
Do you see any other problems?

I think hardSPL and RUU tools, ROM won't work on HD. Every HTC device has unique SPL, ROM, RADIO. Maybe diamond apps will work.

the raphael ROMs do sometimes run on diamond but I only mean the OS, and it has serious issues on a diamond even though it can boot. I wouldn't really want to try an SPL due to the different flash and ram size
and then, this HD is going to be totally different. but at least you reminded us to make a placeholder for hardspl =)

Well, the background is, that I only want to use the new TF3D. I do not need all that stuff provided in the Roms available here and I'd also prefer the original design.
And, in addition to that, I would like to be accessible to the normal start menu, which, in most of the roms, is not.

Dutty's new 2.8 rom is based on the new Topaz Manila in HTC's 1.56 roms. His roms are blazingly fast and really don't include much other than you would need. You should look at his thread in this forum and see how happy people are with his roms. Also, Dutty does not change the theme or anything at all. His TF3D themes are always stock. You can enable the normal start menu very easily in said rom too... if you need info as to how let me know! If you do decide to load it please please PLEASE read the wiki or the guide in my signature because loading these new roms is very different...
Hello guys 1st sorry i know the answers of the questions i will ask are writen in this X1 Forum but the reason to ask you here is because im not X1 User im a Blackstone user and i know how to play with my device.
One friend of mine have X1 he use it around a year and he is still with the Stock Default WM 6.1 witch is very Slow and Bugy also the phone often crash.
I want to ask you can you tell me from your expirience One Good fast and stable ROM for X1? one 6.5 and one 6.1 ?
You will know better because you use this ROM`s if anyone ask me the same question for Blackstone i know the answer.
And also i read about the Flashing Methoud via SD card is 99% the same like for HTC Touch HD just the diference is in the file Name
Can you please tell me with few words witch HARD SPL i need to use to unlock the phone from Stock to WM 6.5
And Do i need to know anything more.. or the procces of flashing is like in the HTC devices.

I guess that's similar to most HTC devices, though I'm lacking experience there
I prefer valkyrie leo rom (wm 6.5.3, manila 2.5), new UI style (Builds 280**), maybe a little more stable are the old UI style ones (Builds 218**)
about NRGZ roms I don't have to tell you, seeing your signature...
can't give advice on wm6.1 roms though, sorry, as I only use the wm6.5 ones
Radio: I think it best to try different ones, as for me higher versions seem to drain more battery without really improving signal quality, you see in my signature what I finally settled for
but again: that's an individual (geographical) question that in the end only you can answer

Yes thank you for the Info like i say i know that everything is writen in the forum but better to ask befor to mess something.
So i will flash the X1 but i never have expirience with ROMs for X1 for that reason i prefer something close up to the default stock ROM but to be Fast and Stable i don`t mind if the ROM is WM6.1 also the guy with the X1 is not so...... technical and maybe will be easy for him to not have so big change in the phone the reason to wana flash his phone is because is really very very slow and crash often frize and etc..
So you told me already with ROM u use but its a new Build with the 2.5 Manila and always the old Windows build etc will be light of memory usage and faster stable.. im just looking for one Fast Stable ROM no matter from the Build etc

read that Touch X 10.1 (smaberg) and 10.8.* (MrRusch) have good voting
also Phoenix rom (Oobly) is reported to be very fast, all Wm6.1, check them as a start, until further feedback arrives

i've turned off HTC Sense, and turned on the normal WM GUI, Very simple but works without problems, so i think that i'ts the Sense that isn't working correct..
Maybe there's a way to sort things out on your phone right now, but I think it would be a lot simpler if you flashed a ROM that already had Sense 2.5 and Cookie baked into it. There are plenty of ROMs here that should do that for you, though of course you would need HardSPL first.
The sticky postings about HardSPL and how to flash ROMs are very detailed and explain things well. But if you have further questions on those then you can ask in those threads.
Someone else might come along and tell you how you can fix your Sense 2.5 right now, but that's beyone what I can do myself.

That doesn't have anything to do with whether your phone is unlocked though, you may well find it doesn't work (saying "invalid vendor id", or similar).
The official HTC ROMs will only work on HTC-branded phones for that specific area/region, unless you have HardSPL.

im no pro but flashing hardspl will allow "unsigned" roms to be flashed. this means roms from htc and "cooked" roms will work on you're phone.
