Location Spoofer is a free download. You can use it to spoof your GPS location. Apps that rely on GPS like Places, Maps, Yelp, etc. works. I'm on Vegan ROM and it works great to set my GPS location while I'm on WIFI.
I'm on stock 4349 and the only "Location Spoofer" I find in the market says "1.5 only."
Any one have a way to find (very) coarse location using Wi-Fi (only)?

Hi !
Is there a way to simulate the Nook's GPS position through Wifi location with Froyo installed (0.5.9) on SD card? Google Maps, Twitter official app, ... I'm (desperately) trying to get my location but fail: I thought this was supposed to work but apparently not Anyone to confirm, or not?
TIA!
does it works on rooted Eclair?
yes 2.1 gives location via wifi
broken in froyo.
Hi,
Google Maps my location is not working on my Nook Color. I am using CM7 3/15 nightly. I don't know if the location services are enabled in CM7.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thx.
I don't believe NC has GPS.
Gps is not available but it should use the WIFI connection to resolve it.
I think it depends entirely on how many nearby WiFi access points are in Skyhook's database.

I am having problems displaying maps. Any maps through anything. The GPS is connected, my location is found, the arrow points, supposedly, to my location and the menus are available, but the screen is black - no maps showing at all.
I have Drive On that gives option of using Google maps or Bing - black screen. gMaps - the same. GPSSatellite - ditto...
did you have internet access (wifi or data) on?

Of course. However, one of the programs is supposed to use GPS only, all of the programs appear to find my location and co-ordinates are provided without data access, just through GPS. Only the maps fail to appear... Black screen with only menus and options visible.
Hi guys
I just installed facebook from android market, but when i try to check-in, the application can't identify my location. Neither can't add a new location.
If i use the browser, it works.
I have gps on, and in location & security : use wireless networks , use gps satellites, gps source internal.
any solutions?
lalalala...up
does this feature work for you guys?
I set my home as a Trusted Location in the smart lock feature and it worked fine for a few days but now it seems to forget to look where I am and has stopped functioning. I can go into Maps and it will lock on and then Smartlock works again, but until I do that it requests my pin.
Is there something I can do to improve this? I am set to high accuracy mode in location settings. I am wondering if maybe my WiFi SSID is registered with Google at a different address and its using that to figure it out until I force GPS in Maps?

I've notice the same thing, to the point where there have been 3 - 4 entries for "Home" for me. Seems that Google Play Services 8.3 helped with the issue, doesn't seem to be as frequent as it was.
Yeah I am also on 8.3 and saw no difference
Smart unlock locations isn't working on my nexus 6P.
