Widget locker

Is there a way to remove the stock unlock screen so I don't have two while using widget locker? I would want to maintain my numeric lock.....I tried searching for a setting and don't see a way

after installing widget locker, you should not have your stock lock screen anymore. this is supposed to replace that....at least thats how it works on my phone.

I'm pretty sure it works by essentially creating another "launcher" or "homescreen" on top of your actual launcher (Sense, LauncherPro, ADW.Launcher, etc) that just shows up everytime you unlock the device. Think about QuickDesk, same principle.

U can always delete the htclockscreen.apk via adk

I read that if you remove that one that it gets replaced by a vanilla one??

Yes but it's not as simple as that. What happens when you do that is you end up with a messed up Vanilla lock screen... you can see what I mean here

You need to go a few steps further (as detailed in the website) to fix it

So I can either have two lock screens or just not use widget locker, from what I can tell by trying it out.....having two is defeating the purpose though...

Yeah, I get that...just wish it worked lol....legit, when I wake my phone, I slide the lock on widget locker, no password needed, then my regular lock screen comes up, I slide and then put in my 4 digit password....

Ah. Yes, I think if you have a security screen it does that. But not much you can do about it I think.

If you are running CM7 you can go into the settings for CM7 and disable the lockscreen but when I do that its weird. When I slide the slider it goes to my pattern security but right before that i see my homescreen flash. Its like a glitch. This happens all the time smh. I expected Widget Locker to be more efficient.

Its in the Axura ROM, maybe hnsmrtn would know. Try to hit up the Vibrant guys too.

theres no apk to give you a puzzle lockscreen. The option is a modified framework-res. The vibrant developers came up with a lockscreen chooser that lets you pick but this is only available on vibrant roms or vibrant based roms like axura. As far as I know it has not been ported to captivate roms

Does anyone know how to get that clock from 2.1 the one that you get when you first turn on your phone?

More specifically, search for Fancy Widget v1.3.0. This is the version that still had the exact HTC Sense Clock from the stock 2.1 Aria. The newer versions dont have that exact clock anymore, but do have many variations on it.

Now my question is I wanted to know a screen shot app that actually works for my rooted G1 Sapphire/Dream. This is the same phone that is running on the Ginger Yoshi ROM, now it has the screen shot set up for when ur powering down the device it's in that section so everytime I use it, it takes a pic of the power down section screen and I would like to take screen shots of different ROMs that flash on my phone and post them. Does anyone know how I can do this? All the screen shot apps I downloaded from the market just doesn't work. Thx in Advance.

[Q] i want a black notification bar?

im trying to find a black notification bar for D3. i downloaded one off of droid pirate and tried to metamorph it but it was a no go. Anyone know? Dont tell me to flash a gingerbread theme that has one included in the package either lol. i kinda want to just stick to something else. Thanks!

You could try flashing the ICS theme after flashing the Stock Deodex ROM. Literally should only take you 10minutes to do. Flashing those two went really fast. Otherwise SD or Monster ROM would be your best bet if metamorph isn't working for ya. The ones on DroidPirate weren't working to good for me, either. But the whitebread theme and the green one here seem to work great.

Word ill try the ics theme. I am already stock deodexed so hopefully itll work. Yeah i tried this one gingerbread theme and tried to metamorph that but alls it said was status bar force close. And it kept doing that over and over again. it was one that gave u the neon green notification icons at the top. It pissed me off then i rebooted and no changes applied so i gaveup on that. could you possibily send the link or thread for that ics theme?

By the way, usually you're gonna get force closes at first, that's normal. But when you reboot manually it should stop.

Use the UOT Kitchen and cook up whatever mods you want. I've made and flashed several so far. (Still running Stock ROM for now)
