Hello,
the problem is that my GPS doesnt lock any satelites. I turned off the data connection and the normal GPS signal doesnt seem to be working.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks
Anyone knows what might be the problem?
Thanks

Get GPS Signal (app)
and stand outside and watch as the satellites lock on. It takes a while. Especially if you turned off data.
I thought my GPS had issues but apparently I accidentally turned off data and I couldn't even check into foursquare
Nope, absolutely nohing! No satelite is found after the CM update...

In my incredible s mobile gps fix is taking more time & sometime it wont fix at all...i have compared my mobile with my frds mobile (incredible s) in hes mobile it fix very quick.. but in my mobile its taking time to fix and most of time it wont fix the gps...
plz somebody solve these problem.....
Do you have a rooted device? Then you have some solutions for that problem.
Try FasterFix, manage & check your GPS with GPS Status & Fix
This is probably the best solution: Wipe efs cache
Had some problem connecting to the satellite just now. It was cloudy.
Then I tried FasterFix and it DID solved my problem. Location fixed under 2 minutes. Thanks a lot. =)
Mine didn't connect even after the device detected 12 satellites... even after keeping it on for 5 minutes, downloaded apps to monitor the progress of the gps fix... no luck..
I then downloaded an app called gps status and downloaded A-gps data for my area...
didn't really help,
then I turned off fast boot and restarted the phone and believe it or not I've been getting 4 second fixes now... I don't really know what did the job, but it works... just try it once, doesn't hurt to try

Just wondering. My O2x can gps fix in a few seconds up to a few minutes at the longest. REcently I went to s'pore for a holiday but I tried for several hours and several places i couldn't get a lock.
Do any singaporeans face the same gps fix problem?
I'm using stock ROMv10e SEA version and because of this lock problem, i even used 'gps fix' app. Still couldn't lock. I never have any problems when I'm in indonesia.
thanks

Maybe you had no data connection or data roaming deactivated so that no AGPS was possible?
M.
I had data connection. I was using star hub. Without data connection google maps wouldn't let me run the app.
I also tried sygic maps. Couldn't lock the gps. Could it be that lg set my phone to be working in indonesia where I bought the phone?

i couldn't find it from my O2x. From PC it says that this app is not compatible with my XL (mobile provider) LG-P990. That's strange isn't it?
So lately my 4x have been loosing the gps connection alot.
It finds it pretty quick at the start but tends to loose signal alot and after loosing signal then it can take up to 5-7mins to get it back.
I mainly use gps for endomondo and some navigation, but its still really frustrating.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to what I might try or whats wrong?

You can test the GPS in "Hidden Menu" or use "Z-Device Test" from the PlayStore
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=zausan.zdevicetest
That happends with all GPS programs?
I'm with Navigon Europe and its very good. CoPilot Live is good too. Never had problems with them.
Maybe it help to take a look here:

Thank you very much. Will try That lock app, since everything looks good with z-device test.

Hello, I have problem with my gps.
I have tried several roms but nothing. It does not work. Also, I have tried the gps patch with no success.
Furthermore I tried several gps check apps and my phone found 0 satellites.
I think that it may be hardware problem.
Any idea?
Hi All,
I've just today got a new HTC One from 3.
Now the issue I've got is nothing wrong with network coverage, its actually the GPS performance, or lack of it.
I'm using GPS test, it can see about 14 satellites but will not lock on and use any of them?
Has anyone had this experience before?
Thanks.

I will also add something to this. The program GPS Status is constantly trying to "Looking for GPS Location" and it never gets a fix. I have 21 sats that it can see, but always fix is on 0.
If anyone could help that would be great.
Thanks.

Never mind... I was being a douch. Was inside on the 3rd floor with 10 other floors above me. When I got outside it was able to get a fix. Still strange though that it can see the satellites inside but can not get a fix on them? Or am I just not getting the point?
My rog phone 2 tencent version with a global rom and fingerprint. Apparently the GPS is not working at all. Google maps and other apps not detecting any location at all.
Anyone got the same problem or solution?
thanks in advance
Works fine for me, not sure what would cause that. Do you have "Use location" on in privacy settings?

Yep. Checked all options about gps. Actually after waiting so long, the gps worked but really slow to lock the location.

No problems here and it locks on quickly - even indoors. Around 50 satellites in view and 20 in use according to GPS Test.

Thx for info pal, hope it will get better after another firmware update here ?
Have the same problem
I noticed also a problem with GPS locking, the problem persist also with the Android 10 beta rom i uodated like 2 weeks ago. Interresting fact is, i only get this when using Waze, either on the phone or through Android Auto, with Google Maps for example i working flawlessly. The only fix i got is installing an app called GPS Lock, which apparently forces the phone to lock on the satellites, but it's quite a battery consumer though. Hope also for a fix in future updates.
I happen to encounter this a lot especially when I travel. Download and install the app ''GPS Status & Toolbox" then turn off Wi-Fi. Once your Wi-Fi is turned off, open the app and that should fix it.
I had the same issue. Can see gps satellite but can't lock onto them. It was my metal bumper casing. Wasted my whole day testing things out.
Anyone figured out a solution to this ?
I'm having this issue as well. I'm using the global version btw. Hope someone posts a solution for this.
