For Mms.apk Email.apk we replaced the stat notify icons so it's not the yellow envelopes and it's more GB like. MediaProvider.apk stat notify icon updated.

That was quick. You AA guys should fix up the call log and battery popup mods while you're at it.

I've never seen a write up for the call log mod. Im guessing it's DialerTabActivity but no clue which file has the necessary changes. Also, Zzzzzzz, dayuuum i need to go to bed lol. We'll see what else has been ported over by the time I wake up!

It's not hard. It's LogsProvider.apk, baksmali it and edit the main activity's smali. Search MMS, delete the relevant portion, then delete the relevant portion for SMS (right above or below).

I flashed the AOSP lock screen no feedback and it doesn't actually show up. The flash completes but I still have the TW lock screen. I have tried re-flashing plus wiping cache/dalvik.
**Oh goodness I'm very confused now, I tried flashing the AOSP lock screen with haptic feedback and it actually worked this time...except it doesn't have haptic feed back. Lol, either way I am happy I got the lock screen I wanted originally. Thanks AA.

The AOSP download link does not modify your feedback. IT's two separate downloads. One for the lockscreen and one to remove the feedback.

Added Email.apk Mms.apk launcher and stat notify icon updates. No more yellow envelopes that don't match theme and MediaProvider's scan media card stat notify icon is GB like now too.

[MOD] Blue/ Grey MMS [EG22]

This is my first attempt to post something for the community here, so if I forget a thanks, or don't give enough info, please tell me and I will correct it. This is a very simple mod and only took a few minutes to do. I hate the stock MMS colors, so I pulled images from the ACS transparent MMS collection here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991259. I believe Mystery takes the credit for the images I used, and I appreciate the work he does greatly.
You can flash the zip I attached in recovery, (wipe cache 3X, Dalvic 3X) or just unzip the file with androzip or whatever and push it to system/app with supermanager or your file manager of choice. Let me know of any problems. Pic is included as an attachment.
Note: This does not change the list view of all your text threads, just the colors of the chat bubbles inside each thread.

Yea, the yellow text messages were the one thing I really couldn't stand after I got my epic. I'll go to the ends of the earth to get rid of it

agreed on the yellow, works great. is it just me or did the text notifying icon at the top switch back to the old froyo smiley one's? or were they always the same? I swear it changed when I flashed to the first GB leak up until now.

Yes that is actually true. There is a black text icon in the notification bar instead of orange or green (from whichever rom/ 2.xx/ whatever had which colors). I thought it was too insignificant to mention, but good catch

[APP] ICS Themed Mms.apk [UPDATE 12/27/11]

Hey all, this is my first attempt at a theme. Thank your Haro and Beamer for help on IRC.
I am open to suggestions but it is a WIP, so not everything is where I want it to be. Also, if someone tries it out and would post some screenshots, that would be awesome. (if I get time I will post some)

change the notification to stock GB ones (the little grey ones)
Within message thread, changed bg to black along with contact header

Changed the emoticons to a different style
made some more things black in thread (still looking for the gray around the composed box at the bottom)

Changed notifications from GB ones to white ones
Change the thread bubbles

make sent/received time a different color as cant see on white bubble
might change emoticons because hard to see on blue bubble

That would be awesome! Can you use apk manager to do it?
I think I might have tweaked the bubble colors a bit and maybe switched some colors around on the conversation list screen.

Might be awhile before another update, was having issues in windows so am setting up ubuntu but getting it all set up is kind of confusing

[Theme][CM9-AOSP] MMS Blacked out and Animated [4/24/12]

Recently I noticed the latest CM9 Mms.apk included emoji support. While I don't use it some people I know do..I hate the white and plain look of stock. So I blacked it out and added some color.
Thought I would share..This should work with any CM9/AOSP variant. It works fine for me on LiquidSmooth.
Just flash in recovery.
I want to thank killabyte over at Rootzwiki for his guide because without it I wouldn't have been able to do it.
I also want to thank whoever did that images for the animated sms notification. I know I got it months ago from the Galaxy Nexus section but cant find it now to give credit..If you know etc pm me..

Transparent MotoMms

Here is my themed transparent MotoMms. You must be rooted and have an unlocked bootloader to flash the zip. I would suggest going into your system/app folder and saving your MotoMms and the odex file some place else before flashing mine, just in case. Once that is done then make sure you are in WP bypass mode and flash away, enjoy! You can also go into your system/app folder and change the MotoMms.apk to MotoMms.apk.bak and the leave the odex file alone, then flash the zip once in WR bypass mode, let me know if you have any problems sometimes it takes a few tries.
**Note** some of my text is blue, yours will be all white!
This is the original odex version of MotoMms.apk, so if your not running that specific Mms then it may do nothing for you.
Hit the thanks button if you like or use!

Any chance you could list what files you modified to get the clear background? I'd like the default MMS, but with a dark holo theme. I've decompiled the apk, but I'm not sure what file is the background.png. Also, which xml controls the text color? I appreciate your help!

Sure, I am taking a final right now, but will go into more detail later,,,right off the bat you have to change some png's in res/drawable xhdpi, some xml's in res/layout dealing with android background to a clear hex code like #00000000, and finally in res/ values, change the coding to let the wallpaper see through. Hope this helps, PM me and I can go into more detail. All of the changes can be made the same way to make it look inverted if you like.

Any chance we could get this as an exposed framework module? My droid maxx doesn't have an unlocked bootloader.

I am really enjoying your work! I hate to pester but do you think you could give us choices of icon color too? i'm not a fan of the dark blue SMS icon we get stuck with when using either this or the blacked out one...it would be nice to have a few downloads that use a different icon color but keep the transparency or darkness....just a thought. none the less, great work and we all appreciate what you've done for us and our phones

I am restoring my phone now, once i re root it and get all my apps downloaded i'll try to upload the mms apk.
