Requirements:
- DK28 ROM with kernel that can run custom boot animations (Bonsai4All, ViperROM, etc)
- Ability to boot into ClockworkMod recovery and flash a .zip file
What is it?
- A Christmas themed boot animation for Epic 4G devices. I've been teaching myself Flash CS5; this is my first attempt at a custom boot animation.
- Length is 13 seconds, which works well for me booting Bonsai ROM - YMMV. Due to kernel restrictions the audio only runs for ~6 seconds.
PREVIEW
Instructions:
- Download .zip to SD Card
- Flash in CWM
Download
Download - without jingle (won't write over your current boot sound)
Merry Christmas!

Yeah there seems to be a limitation, governed by the kernel, of 6 seconds of boot audio. The sound clip is actually 13 seconds long.

Many people have been saying that the ICS Theme for the Bionic has been bootlooping and softbricking their D3. With the help of my friend Cush2Push, we have created a ICS ROM with lots of ICS changes and will add more over time. It's still in it's pre-mature form.
Without further ado, I present to you..
ZERO narcotICS
v0.3-fixed no launcher black screen on startup
v0.2-fixed some FC's, this ROM has the same issues as CM7 until we get it fixed but in the meantime it's faster than CM7
v0.1-Initial release-based on CM7 should be faster than CM7 as time progresses
-ICS themed
THIS ROM WILL HAVE SIMILAR/EXACT BUGS/ISSUES THAT THE CM7 BUILD BY HASHCODE HAS SINCE IT IS BASED OFF OF HIS DEVICE TREE
this rom contains:
-zero settings thanks to cush 2push
-ics theme thanks to liquid
-only CORE google apps
-faster and more features than cm7
known issues:
-phone fcing during call but call still going through
-broken camera
-broken torch
-wonky audio
that said I wouldn't use this as my daily as its still in dev stage
DOWNLOAD LINK:
v0.3 DOWNLOAD (Fix for Zero settings FC'ing, download this and flash):
Install Instructions:
1. Place the .zip file on your internal or external SD Card (Doesn't matter)
2. Boot into Recovery.
3. Turn on Safe System
4. WIPING IS REQUIRED., FORMAT SYSTEM
5. Choose Install zip from either your internal or external SD Card, depending where you placed it.
6. Reboot.
Thanks to cush2push (from TeamLiquid) for compiling.
Thanks to Team Liquid, for all their development.
Thanks to Hashcode! For giving us his github and device tree
Thanks to all the others that I didn't mention, if you're name isn't mentioned and you would like to be thanked, post below and i'll be happy to thank you .
If you would like to donate to my work I would appreciate it
http://goo.gl/yuHWi
Downloading right now! Will tell you how it goes. Thanks!
Edit - If possible, you should try and add Jewremy's battery. A lot of people really like the v5 including myself, but also really like most of the features and ICS like the notification bar gradient and his mod takes that out. As well as the blue glow.
Downloading !

Ohh **** this is messed up, it flashed alright but couldn't get past the add account. It just fc's and restarts and the buttons don't do anything. So I had to click the speech button on the keyboard and it opened the browser and downloaded hash codes bootstrapper and do a nandroid backup. I would of booted into bp tools but I tried and it just restarted.

Flashed and theme didn't do well. The battery didn't port over and for some reason it didn't have blur with it? So I can't comment on how the blur did.

Well, This is my 1st ROM for the NS. Coming from the Vibrant, SGS4G, and the G2x, TeamWhiskey is bringing Bionix back to the table. With the tragic ending to Sombionix's NS, I have taken over the Nexus S side of the team.
ROM NAME: Pure Bionix
Version: 2.3.7 AOSP
Sources: www.github.com/krylon360
1.5 Special Note: If you want to use Vol to Wake, open Spare Parts, and uncheck and recheck the option.
1.6.1:
Fixed Wifi
Fixed Gapps
Fixed USB (dont think this was an issue, but it works....)
1.6 Change Log
Fixed Keyboard defaulting to japan
removed the other 2 keyboards from source
SKIA optimizations
Fixed flash... (honestly... I didnt do anything.. but it's showing up in the pictures I take now)
New Bootanimation by rascarlo
changed kernel to T1544-Redux
1.5 Change Log
Added Volume to Wake
Modified the Spare Parts source code to give you the option to turn on/off Volume to Wake
Switched kernel to Anykernel scripts
Fixed wifi from test build
Fixed mounting bug from 1.4
1.4 Change Log
Added Bash
Added Nano
Added Busybox
Patched SQLITE3 for I/O performance gain.
Modified init.rc
added ROMStats
Added SpareParts
Added SD Speed hack to init.rc
Increased VM Heap to 48
Reverted kernel back to TT144 (NOTE* If you have issues mounting your SD after flashing, please flash another Trinity kernel (could be the same one as well) I'm working on that issue now for 1.5)
Edit2 on this issue: htcclay also reported that you can fix permissions in recovery, and do a bat pull, and it will fix the issue without the need to flash a different kernel.
*OLD*
1.3 Change Log
Removed DSPManager until I can fix the FC's
Used CM's LatinIME (Dictionaries kept failing to build in)
Brought over CM Power Extended Menu (Reboot, Bootloader, Recovery)
Brought over CM Screenshot
Added Terminal Emulator

More to come in future versions.
Kernel
Currently it comes with the Trinity 1.44 GHz Kernel by Morfic. You can find his sources on his git.
Does not come with a baseband.
You will need to download the latest GAPPS if you want them. They do not come pre-installed.
Instructions:
DO NOT FORMAT YOUR BOOT PARTITION. This ROM builds the boot.img on the fly, so if you format your /boot it will not load. (Thanks thoth77)
WIPE! (Only for this build, just to remove any dragons)
Flash: Pure Bionix
Flash GAPPS
Reboot
Once rebooted, dont touch the phone for about 5 minutes (let the cache build up)
reboot
let sit for another few minutes

I see you've fixed it on the other forum too.
I managed to discover your ROM there initially and then found it posted here.
Been using it for the past few hours and it is really smooth & hiccup-less.
No reboots or any other issues at all.
Pretty snappy too when opening/closing Apps.
Just one question- could the Launcher be made to load/unload apps-pages faster when the app-drawer is clicked?
Thanks and, great job.
Welcome Bionix!!!!! Ran on my Galaxy S 4g. Unfortunately I am stuck like chuck on 4.0. When flashing it goes to boot loader and says no recovery image found. Any thoughts??

hey hyde..
Got this rom up and running.. loving it.. glad you figured out all the /system issues and made a full working rom! congrats!
question on the sdcard swap (also thanks for getting it working) do I have to move all my data from the internal to my external now that its been swapped? or does it just move it over itself?
The sd swap just swaps the mount pointes, you'd have to move your stuff. Keep in mind this runs every boot so when you're in recovery, your external is still your external, and your internal is still your internal.
Make sure you see mattiadj and thank him very little to make work so please, don't thank me for that mod. :good:

Works well, but I think it's too fast, and of course it would be great if it's edited to match Note8 name and specs.
Thanks for your work

I didnt find how to open .qmg for add a sound.

Thanks, and hope you'll willing to do it.

Thank you Kinglos for the new better boot animation. The sound make it more "old school" and its great.
The CRT shutdown animation is one of the best I saw, more than the "regular" CRT animation for screen off animation. I wish I have this CRT animation for screen off.
Thanks for the hours you spent for this new awesome virsion.

This screen animation module is open source, it was run a few years ago on old devices.

I'm using Alexndr ROM with horizonOne kernel. I think it boots like 2 sec faster than what it's expected on botanimation

Next time I can try making versions with different speeds, but for that I need a video of your device booting to get the correct time. For now its good to have a fast booting device lol

Thanks again for your work!
