Sir i need to upgrade windows 6.1 to windows 6.5 on my htc touch diamond
i am soo confused as this is my first time using any windws phone
please helpp
my rom version is 2.03.405.3 wwe
radio version is 1.09.25.23
please help me how can i get windows 6.5 and how can i install it

There are plenty of 6.5 ROMs available on the site. Be warned that most will slow your phone down and reduce stability compared to the (admittedly buggy) ROM that the Diamond comes with. It's fun to try them out though, if you have the time and patience! Many people have worked very hard to create ROMs with various features from 6.5, so just take your time and read through them.
You also should hunt out the guide on how to use Hard SPL, as you will need it for the Diamond to allow you to use the ROM of your choice.

Or you could just go to the phone manufacturers website and download the applicable file there and follow their (comprehensive) instructions. If you want to keep things all official, it's actually a very straightforward process. You only need to bother with hardSPL etc if you want to flash a custom ROM. A very important question you should ask yourself is why do I want WM 6.1. If you're thinking it's newer so it must be more reliable/better/faster etc etc check out the threads in Kaiser General relating to all the problems after upgrading - at least with regards to most of the official HTC ROM offerings (certainly the current UK one is included). I tried WM 6.1 for a while and had such significant problems, I had it reverted back to 6.0.

To me WM 6.1 appearance is more sexier than the WM 6.0. Thats why am looking to upgrade my device in to WM 6.1
Flying Kiwi has a point about doing it officially - I'd forgotten that there was an official 6.1 rom. That said, for me custom roms are much more fun!
I've had both 6.0 and 6.1 on my phones and to be honest, I can't tell the difference.

What are you doing with your phone ......
Having tried both, there's very little difference between the two as far as the TyTN II native ROMs are concerned. It's only the customised ROMs that offer a flashier flash (but you can also get alot of that stuff through installing cabs - full details in the wiki and by searching/reading up on the xda-dev website).

Yeees ofcourse it is point your browser to the rom development section and there are lots of 6.5 roms for you to try remember tho its still beta at the mo so dont expect everything to work perfectly

You can get it. I find it a bit too buggy atm so I'm staying with 6.1 for the time being.
Some of the newest ROMs coming out right now are incredibly stable for beta software. At this point they are stable enough for me to run days without running into any glitches or problems. No more so problems than the current stock 6.1 roms available. If you're feeling adventurous give one a shot. worst case scenario you can always flash back to your stock rom. Just be careful if you're not familiar with custom rom flashing, it's easy to do but just make sure you read up on it thoroughly to avoid any headaches. Good luck and enjoy 6.5, I love it on my diamond.

Just realized that I asked kinda a silly question. WinMo 6.5 is buggy, full of useless (according to me) stuff and very heavy (not lite). I've found the links to WinMo 6.1 but damn Rapidshare.
Was it that bad? Maybe you chose an old ROM. Anyway I guess I'll stick for a while like you with the original 6.1 till we get a stable 6.5 release

I agree guys, i have tried 3 versions of 6.5 ROMs cooked by different moderators of this site but all of them have some bugs, the battery life is reduced to 5 hours only. I am need of an original Viva 6.1 pro ROM, please help.... Right now i am having 6.1 ROM but that too has some bugs.... Thanx for any help in advance.... Till then, we have to wait for a Stable 6.5 pro ROM.....
Just upgraded from wm 6.1 pro to t mobile wm 6.5 official rom on MDA compact V,not very impressed it`s pants,my question is if I use a cooked rom from here do I still have to hard spl the device,can some please help ,

Yes, you must install HSPL first.
Have a read here to get you started.
IMO the stock ROMS don't get anywhere close to the cooked ones on here. I changed my T-mobile ROM to one of Dutty's and have never looked back. The speed and the look of it is just unreal in comparison to the original. Go for it!

so i get the touch diamond. and i really wanna upgrade to WM 6.5.x with sense 2.x

I don't personally advice you Sense 2.5 because it is too slow for the diamond, try to look out for a sense 2.1 ROM. I'm currently using the Back To Basics ROM, it is IMO the most stable and fast ROM with Sense 2.1 & winmo 6.5 on the diamond. here is the link :
