Hello
I installed the Cyanogenmod 6.1 on my htc wildfire but noted that there is a bug on the screen when I am in communication.
On the screen there is a button to display the keyboard, but when I push on it, I can see the keyboard but the last line button is hidden by the buttons on the front. I can not press 0, # and *.
Is this a problem with the CM6.1 rom?
is that there was a way to fix this bug ?
Thank you,
Quentin
Are you using the latest RC build of Cyanogen (or possibly a nightly)? The earlier builds had some layout issues, which sound like the ones you are describing.

It appears in the Rhodium Thread they have found a way to use HTC Volume Control on 6.5.x ROMs and get rid of that annoying default control. The fix doesnt seem to for the Blackstone however, anyone out there can figure this out?

solution for volume control problem
This one seems to work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=242804&d=1257180276
Tested on: Miri WM 6.5 21887 :: MANILA 2.5 :: REV 16.0
It gives back volume control via the buttons on the left-side of your Touch HD. However it doesn't make a distinction between system and phone volume. In either way you have your (side) volume control back!
Just copy the .cab to your device and run it through file explorer.
Cheers!
The problem with all the volume control packages is that you can't change the incall volume anymore when you install them.

This volume slider cannot change the volume while during a call. And the volume icon sometimes do not change instantly if you use this control, so you don't know what is the sound mode right now.
Fix found
Hello there,
I'm not really used to post anything - so please be easy on me
Setvolume0.7.0 does not seems to work on my installation (T8282, Miri65_21887_v16), so that I successfully tried 'Touch-IT Blackstone volumecontrol.cab' from HD_CABs_for_X1.rar (pretty sure I cannot post it along, just surf the web for it).
Now up/down buttons works as regular volume/ringer controls on my device.
Hope to have been of help.

Did you try the operation of hardware buttons during the ongoing call? Are they working normally during the call?
downloaded and installed "Touch-IT Blackstone volumecontrol.cab" from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442154
Works great actually. Only problem is that the volume icon changed to a white one and not the one I had in my NRG-rom. Small price for a working volume.

Is there a mod to 'auto on' the backlighting for the bottom keys when the display is on? IE Home Back Menu Search.
I am running the latest CM7 nightly 033111.
Only thing I've heard of is "keep the lights on"..in the market. Be nice and pay for the pro version...

CM7 is supposed to do it automatically, mine does.
Edit: I just noticed you aren't on the newest nightly. One came out today. It didn't change any touchkey stuff, just thought you might want to know.

Bottom keys dont stay on
I installed latest CM7 and still have the problem. I would be pleased to donate to someone who solves this issue, for the rest, CM7 is incredibly wonderfull.
Guys,
I have tried with official CM7 and many other CM7 based custom roms.. All the roms having a bug that when a call comes and if you press the right soft touch key (back key) call gets cut. Is there any option for not happening this or is this a bug which CM has to solve in their next release. I ve tried with all the nightlies and its the same for all.

Hello,
I have a Samsung S1 with a broken home button. He's probably become oxidized and wet. He can no longer respond. A hardware-repair should resign because the risk of destroying the display is too big. In another forum I read that one., As a remedy, if one has CM 10.x or CM11 installed, the on-screen buttons may display As for devices without hardware buttons. For this purpose, one would still adjust the build.prop accordingly with respect to the Home button. Now I do not know about with the Build.prop. Can anyone tell me which parameter I must set differently there, so that CM appears under the Home Button?
Thanks in advance,
Dag
You can set a NavBar on CM10/11 by just adding a single line to your build.prop.

I'm using the latest CM11 version from Novafusion.
Problem and steps I've taken
Currently I've got a problem where the home button intermittently activates on its own (but only long-presses, so if I disable long-press in the OS, it'll be fine for normal operation), without any interference. The side effect (which is my main issue) of this is that it means my phone's screen effectively turns on by itself 24/7, which is obviously bad for many, many reasons.
I'm asking whether there's anyway I can disable the home button? I've tried Android-HomeKey-Locker (can't link it, but the Google Play version of the thing on GitHub) but it hasn't done anything.
I'm aware I can turn on the software buttons, but they don't deactivate the physical buttons: and I only want to disable home anyway.
So my question is, is there any way of doing this? I can take the back and menu keys if needed.
Side note
Is it possible in anyway to bind long-press back to home? I asked this for CM12 a while back (and I've since downgraded), but is this possible with Cyanogen, as I've been able to do it with Carbon ROM on 4.4.4.
Hi! I currently use this app on CM 12.1 to enable softkeys and disable hardware keys:

sorry for my bad english
Hi

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the help. Someone on reddit gave me a working solution by using Xposed Additions to remap the buttons how I wanted them to.
