Hello everyone.
My problem is that I was changing some registry keys to record video at 30 fps. Although I came to leave the registry as it was, now the video camera records much more pixelated and also jumps. The result is very poor quality videos. Would greatly appreciate your help to solve this problem.
Help me, please.
FIXED
Seeing that nobody helps me, I inquire about my solution:
Just what I've done has been a full backup. Once done, return the unit to its first state with a Hard-reset. Once in that state, with a registry editor, I made a cab from the path HKLM-SOFTWARE-HTC-CAMERA. Now i install the backup. Then install the cab I created and finally install the cab improved camera modes "of JaimeH y. .. Perfect!
I hope someone can help.
Greetings.

I had the same problem and all I did was install Nadavi's new Camera Cab. Just do a search and you'll find it. This sorted the problem out.
Ok I'll install the cab, and tell you guys the results. Thanks for the reply :]
They're already set to play with tmcp.
Hi!
My Diamond2 used to take ok vids, but all of a sudden it will only record in 128x96
The setting for this is grayed out, so I can't tell it to use a better resolution.
I've tried fiddling with other settings to see if any of that would re-enable the option to shoot nice vids, so far no luck!
Any ideas (coz I havent got the faintest)?
Hi there,
is there anyone who has original ROM and doesn't modified the camera settings in registry and would upload a .reg file with original camera settings? I'll really appreciate that.I've installed cooked ROM and the video quality is really poor and I don't know what to change to make it better.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english..

First read this;
The Definitive Video Playback Thread
It's an old thread as you'll see though it'll get you started.
Second there is the posibillity to download a stock ROM and run it virtually on your PC. Then from there you pull the original *.reg settings you desire
Have fun and success,

I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to turn off camera functionality of start/finish video recording by touching the screen.
UPDATE: issue resolved by @[email protected], thank you

I am frustrated by an added camera functionality on the latest WP versions - now in order to start/finish video recording you only need to touch the screen - anywhere on the screen. For those of us who frequently uses video recording this is actually not convenient because it is easy to accidentally stop the recording by touching the screen, especially during longer recordings (>3 minutes), or when passing the phone to another person while recording is underway.
I run into this problem again and again, but I would hate to revert to an earlier WP7 version because of this (I am running a nice Dynamics HD2O 2.00b WP7.8 8858 ROM on my HTC HD2). So I am wondering if anyone can think of a way to remove this functionality (or allow the screen to be completely turned off while recording video, as this could also save battery charge) by tweaking registry, or an app that does that, etc.
Thank you.

hi,
You can disable this from Settings>applications>Pictures+Camera

That was easy, thank you very much. Strange that you can't do it from within the camera app itself.

Sorry for all of the threads..
Anyway, I utilize a video messaging app called "Marco Polo" fairly often. When I go to record a video, it looks like it is recording fine but when it sends it is blank and only audio is able to be heard.
I have all permissions turned on so that is not the problem.
I've saw this has happened with the Huawei P8 so maybe it has something to do with China manufacturing. There was no resolution in the other case.
Could there be a conflict somewhere blocking the camera? The camera looks pizelated. I also have the G cam software downlaoded on my phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
