If you are on Froyo 2.2.1 you can try the Darkslide version..I am not the developer by any means just passing along the information. The entire Darkslide theme is awesome as well. You should not have to do anything but install this in Clockwork and reboot. Of course I would do a backup first just to be sure you can go back afterwards. If you are on GingerBread do not install this file...
for 2.3.3 JVH would be found please?

Hello,
I am currently running tayutama's Froyo version without any complaints other than that it's a little outdated and i would love to try a more recent rom with the accompanied recent developments in the kernel scene.
I'm looking for a reliable rom that will fit the YA-OK kernel afterwards.
It has to have all bloatware removed, but not as much as in the insanity rom.
Looking at the DOC rom i can't stand how many apps are in there, that is definately not the rom for me at the moment.
The rom has to support dutch swype and locale.
Does anyone have a suggestion what's the best rom for me to use from now on?
Thanks and greetings,
LentoViolentoMan
you can choose not to flash the medium and full packages for doc.. it's quite minimalist IMO

Yep that's the one i'm using, i've been looking at the steely mod and at doc's rom for now to put on my SGS. (didn't know there was a base Doc version, so, thanks)
When you are speaking of cyan, which rom is that?
There are also multiple versions of Doc's rom, which one is the best when you want to use dutch swype etc? Is it possible to install dutch locale and swype through a zipfile like i did with the current tayutama rom?

Heyho just a little question does anybody know if there is a stock Gingerbread or the Gingerbread Battery Icon available for JPX/JPY? I searched arround but only found some modded GB Themes which i don't like.
I'm searching for that too
Can I add a 'me too'? I'm using R64's Gingerbreads theme he made for Darkyy's rom on Doc's rom. It works ok, but the extended menu say's Darkyy's rom. There is a original Gingerbread theme in the Captivate forum but I don't know if we can use that one on the i9000.
Anyone?
+1 for this.
Hey guys,
Could anybody please upload the stock 2.3 Gingerbread keyboard of off their Nexus S ? I was experimenting with the HTC_IME (which works great btw) and accidentally deleted the Stock keyboard.
Cheers!
Simple questions:
If I have installed a cooked Gingerbread ROM (2.3.2 JV1 or 2.3.3 JVK evolution), can I replace the kernel with a Froyo version kernel (2.2.1 as JS8 or others)? What happens?
Doesn't work or doesn't boot? Will I have stability problems?
Does it downgrade version of Android on my device? So I will have a Froyo device?
This question come to me cause on other Devices (HTC Desire, Hero, Magic) I had before Galaxy haven't distinct versions: Froyo o Gingerbread ROMs are one package. In Galaxy, instead, I can change Kernels with ODIN, replacing the one that comes with Cooked ROM package... And I read sometimes Ginger Kernel based on 2.2.1... ??? what the hell?
Ciao
You will get bootloops
Btw, this is in no way development related and should be posted in general. Just for your next question...
Should be on Q&A
Hello, I've installed this ROM on my Milestone 2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216705
And I was thinking if there is a way to put the stock GingerBread Theme on this ROM. I even tried use the UOT Kitchen, but it didn't worked very well for me.
Any tips?
Why you don't use ADW laucher?
Just search for stevin lin in market and there is a stock version of GB there. Its free and you can also search for his GB keyboard
