Hi,
I've started to use xscope on my Gtab, and really like it, and set the XDA Gtab forums as my home page, so when it starts, I get a page w/the 4 topics.
The thing is, when I click on any of the 4 topics, I see the link highlighted, but it doesn't load the page with the threads.
Sometimes, if I tap the topic link several times, it goes. What works is if I long press on a topic link, then get the popup, then click open.
I don't have this problem with other links, just the XDA Gtab topic links.
Weird!
Jim
I used to do the same thing then tried the xda apparently which didn't work out to well either. Have you used the tapatalk apparently? Works great for my xda browsing...

I tried the XDA app, but had a hard time with it .
I'll take a look at tapatalk.
Thanks,
Jim

mine doesnt either.. i dont understand that. i had to switch to handcent.
I have the same issue with the spaces on Swype here.
Found another issue with it....the speech to text doesn't work either anyone else have this issue?

I thought it was supposed to put spaces automatically.
I figured it was an option I couldn't figure out how to turn on.
The no spaces thing has been discussed quite extensively already, and there is a huge Swype thread already.
It's not auto-spacing because Swype respects text fields formats, and for some reason HTC set the SMS message text field up similar to a web address field.
To the OP. You will here this a lot, on any forum. Do a search before posting a new thread. Or at least browse a page or two to see if the topic you are refering to is already in discussion.
Only had to go to page 2 and at the top is the already existing thread on swype

Dont take this as me being rude please. Someone at some point is going to say it no matter where you go. It helps keep the threads clean. And help people find things easier if there arent multiple threads about the same thing.
Welcome to XDA BTW
maybe someone can help. I have XDA app ( free and premium applies to this) and I am able to read posts as long as I am a guest. when I sign in it seems OK as I can browse the threads. but when I try open a post the app force closes on me.
I have read some people have no issues with this app and some do. I have a wifi only xoom. I'm wondering if the issue is limited to this model and works fine on 3g model?
if anyone has any input please let me know here. thanks

I never had a problem with it on my 3g version but once I switched to wifi I got the same issues as you. Xda, slacker, pandora and many other apps just won't work on my wifi xoom....very frustrating as I use all'of those apps often....in the end its not just you
Same with me. It also does not remember my sign in and I have to sign in every time. wifi xoom
Has anyone contacted the developers of Tapatalk?
http://tapatalk.com/
The more people that contact them, the better chance it will get fixed.
This problem does not occur on tapatalk, only when using xda app (for me and a lot of others). Tapatalk works fine excet for this weird blur on long OPs.

Isn't the XDA app based on Tapatalk?

Yes. Once you get into the xda forum from tapatalk app its almost identical.
I don't do software, my brain isn't wired that way, but I will look at the two and see what I can find. Sometimes I get lucky. Will update OP if I find anything.

Anyone else notice that after the GB update you've seemed to have lost the 'back' function for the stock browser?
If you're using the stock browser and try to cycle back through pages by hitting the back arrow key, it now takes you to your home screen - don't seem to be able to cycle back through pages.
EDIT: Only seems to occur in certain sites.
have you tried this with dolphin browser or any other browser?
Haven't installed any other browser. I fooled around a bit after starting this thread and quickly realized that for me, the page back not working was only really occurring while I was browsing here at xda on the web (I've since DL'd the app).
All other pages that I've bookmarked and frequently browse seemed to back up just fine. I assumed it was a function of how this and maybe other forums handled moving within a thread that the stock browser wasn't picking up on - kind of like different pages within a thread look like the same page.
Didn't give it any additional though until today when I noticed someone had reported the same problem in one of the ROM development threads.
For me, it's sort of become a non-issue.
Yes, I've noticed it on the Gingervolt Rom. Are you running stock Gingerbread (rooted or unrooted) or Gingervolt?
Stock unrooted GB. Never rooted the phone.

I'm also having the same problem on Gingervolt. It only happens on certain sites though.
Does the same thing on Dolphin HD.

Mine just does it randomly. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I have yet to find a rhyme or reason to it.

Just a heads up when using Dolphin, read this:

Yeah but it says that the latest version doesn't forward links or anything anymore.

I have this issue as well, closing and reopening the browser is a temporary fix.
To make the subject line clear: I tried to connect to a Hotspot (provided by the local cable company at the gym I go to), I need to go into the browser and accept the rules (what a pain). But, I get no internet connection.
Another person there brought up theirs, and it worked fine.
Any sugestions on what I need to do to get this working. Oh...I do connect and get an IP address, but I can't get to the internet it seems.
Might help to give a little more info about your phone, like what ROM of any. What browser do you use?

I am on Mosaic IX; I have tried two browsers: Stock browser, and Opera. Same problem on both.
BTW...I suspect you have already assumed this: I get to the Internet fine on my WiFi connection at home.

Tried it while there today. I must have typoed something. All I could find was Dolphin HD. Tried that, and it didn't work.
I'm installing it now, and will try. Not overly optimistic given 3 others, including Dolphin HD, does not work.
Seems to me it must be something about getting redirected to the hot spot home page is a problem, but I have no idea how I would address that.
I'll post back in a couple days. I'll be up there Friday.

hmm odd honestly. Maybe you can try and manually get to the hot spot page by typing in the address on your phone

If I do a search from the search bar on the homescreen, and then click on a link in the results, it always launches duplicate tabs in Chrome resulting in the same page being loaded twice simultaneously on 2 different tabs.
If I search from within Chrome in the address bar , its fine.
I can't seem to figure out why. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a solution ?

Noticed this as well. I rooted mine, so thought maybe that screwed it up.
I have the same issue and I haven't rooted or modded at all.

same issue here, thought it was just me
I was suffering from the same problem but member 'janedoesmith' has solved it! The solution is this:
When chrome opens up after clicking on a search result from the search bar, you need to click on the blank space surrounding the link to the website. If you click on the actual link, it'll create duplicate tabs.
Here's a link to my original question so that you can give 'janedoesmith' the appropriate thanks.

Yep, this problem annoys me as well.
I expect Google to release a patch soon.

Happening for me recently too.
Hopefully a patch will fix it.

Has anyone else noticed that you can no longer click the white space or descriptions on search results? The workaround no longer works and you can only click the title and tabs still open twice. Wtf Google?
It looks like Google has finally fixed this issue, although descriptions are still not clickable.
