Problem with Titanium Backup? - Nook Color General

Just rooted my NC today using auto-nooter for 1.0.0.
Downloaded Titanium Backup since everyone is recommending it. When I started it up, no errors, but when I try to go into the Batch menu, I get the following error:
"Sorry, system requirements were not met. Please check error messages on startup."
Anyone have any ideas?

I had to download z4root, run that and choose re-root.
After that, I was able to use Titantium Backup.

Titanium Backup has a button in the center that says "Problem?" - you may need to click that to install busybox for you..
Did you manually push busybox, su and superuser.apk?
Z4root is an app that does some of that for you if you haven't or don't know how. Instructions are in the wiki,.
-CC

It's seems the external microSD issue, maybe you need to load a microSD into NC, it should work. Give it a try.

Sorry to revive a buried thread, but I'm also getting this, even though I can see the sdcard when I use ASTRO. Also, if I try to access the card via my PC, it doesn't find it. I can also see the card from the recovery module. I'm going to install my new ROM (Cyanogen 7 RC2) and see what happens after that.

UPDATE: Something went goofy with my card, but it fixed itself ... weird

Market 1713

It may be because of my service provider (Cox) but my current market version is 1712. By searching Google, I've downloaded the Vending.apk version 1713 and tried installing it from my sd card and I get the message "Application not installed". So I figured "Hey, there might be some kind of issue, I'll uninstall the current Market," so I did so with TitaniumBackup (Nandroid first), which completely fudged it to hell as well as giving me the same error "Application not installed". So I restored from the nandroid and am back on the 1712 version.
My question is, is the 1713 update Sprint specific? Or am I doing something wrong?
PS: The apk I was using is below.

I'm not sure what the differences are, but have you tried 'pushing' the app to /system/app/ ? I know that some apps aren't able to be installed by clicking on them (within the gui), but that some have to be manually added to the /system/app/ directory via adb.
Code:
adb push c:\Whereitslocated\Vending.apk /system/app/
Maybe that'll help ya out?
Always nandroid first just in case
I'll definitely give that a try...when I can. I turned off my phone to do a nandroid first and now it wont boot into recovery or normally. I can get to the fastboot screen but not into recovery. It just goes to the white screen with HTC in green....
what recovery 'were' you using? (which isn't currently working as you can see, lol)... you may need to flash a newer version of whatever recovery u'r using. u can do so via fastboot using instructions from XDA.

I was using Darchstar's "Unofficial Amon_RA 1.7" recovery and it was working fine for over a month. Ill have to reflash it when I get home I guess.

By the way this worked once I got my recovery fixed.

Lost SU access

Using nfx stock 2.1 rom with chainsdd superuser app. I had a problem with an app that was looping the launcher and had to restore a nandroid. All seemed to be ok until I tried to use terminal. Su was denied. I then tried anything that required SU access and nothing would work. I have tried the update from the market for the SU apk. I uninstalled it. re-downloaded the eclair version 2.3.6.1 and flashed the Zip and got this error.
"E:wrong digest: META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script E:Verification failed"
Not sure what I am doing wrong or what might be the cause for the SU apk to have stopped working, but any help would be appreciated.
I also have unchecked the debugging and rechecked it to make sure a setting was not screwed up.
Try going into settings / applications //manage applications / and find the super user app. Then force close it and clear data. The try a app that requires su. Aslo you might wanna change the notifications in the super user app to regular notification / normal instead of the toast notification. Good luck

Your OP is a little confusing, but it sounds like the zip was bad (not signed), not the apk. You could try to update the SU binary inside the superuser app, otherwise..... Go into your titanium backup and hit the "problems" button, see what happens. I am wondering if you lost busybox. Report back
Thanks for all the feed back. I did go into the application and clear data and Force Closed it. That did not fix the problem. I also changed the notifications and nada. I tend to think I lost busybox. I am not sure what it is for, but I think that was it. I did try to use titanium backup, and it gave me an error about busybox. I was going to download it again but was not sure if it was compatible with the rom I was using.
I needed to get SU access so I ended up starting over. Wiped everything, repartitioned, and then flashed a newer version of the Rom. Thanks for all the help guys.
Glad you got it fixed.

For future reference, busybox from TI backup is always the most up to date and safe/needed for any custom rom, so yes you could've updated it and it would've been fine. I don't know how you lost it but now you know how to fix it if it happens again, WITHOUT having to start over. On a side note I love being right, happy trails.

[Q] Root Explorer Help Needed

Long time lerker, first time poster. I have been active on AndroidCentral, but need help from the experts in XDA.
I am running Nookie Froyo off the card. Everything is running great except the google market is absolutely TERRIBLE. It is missing tons of apps. Therefore, I was going through the directions posted in the forum...i.e. change the build.prop file
I can open Root Explorer, then can open /system; but then I can NOT mount as rw. When I hit Mount as rw the button lights up but will NOT switch it to rw. Therefore, I can not rewrite the needed file. Any help? Ideas?
Any other options to get Market to show more apps?

Does Root Explorer have Superuser permissions? If so you might try wiping data with Titanium BU or uninstalling and reinstalling RE.

I tried reinstalling RE. I will try the wiping data route.....
No luck with wiping data. Any other ideas?
Are other apps, like SoftKeys, getting superuser permissions?

If you haven't already, may try going into Superuser and forget RE. Open it back up and allow.

If I remember right, superuser is linked to busybox. Try going to Titanium BU and choose problems tab. Update busybox and see if that makes any difference. Grasping for straws here.

I assume you have tried rebooting. Other things maybe to try; run the fix permissions utility in Rom Manager (some have had new issues after this, most don't); Get the new market apk on the "themes and apps" forum if you don't have one and try to install it with root explorer from your download after a short press. Is your 2.1 stock or rooted? If rooted, pull your nookie card and try to update from 2.1. If none of those work, I would not have any other ideas. Good luck.
Had the same problem a while back. Installed busybox from the market and it seemed to fix Root Explorer. Maybe using Titanium Backup to get busybox isn't working. I'd try getting busybox straight from the market...

[Q] Getting Non-Market Apps to work after rooting 1.3?

Went through all the steps and everything *seems* to be working properly. When trying to reinstall the Amazon App-store I am unable to find the check box in Nook Tools to allow the NMA installation. I went into Titanium to try and restore a backup and it isn't finding anything. Not even the apps currently installed... Anyone else having this or am I just a flaming moron?

It's right at the top when you first open nook color tools, but the label isn't there anymore. It's probably checked, but uncheck it and check it again.
Yup... Flaming Moron... Thanks!
Any idea what could be up with Titanium though?

[Q] Help with root problem (apps that use sd card broken)

I rooted with kingo and installed Urdriod version 2 via safestrap version 3.75. Then installed Titanium backup pro. Problem is Titanium doesn't work anymore. All the options are not there. It is saying current backup location is inaccessible.
I then noticed that many of my applications that work in conjunction with the sd card do not work. Youtube is broken on 4G. Evernote is broken. Many of my games are broke as well.
I then did a clean install of another Rom Dynamic Kat. It didn't fix anything.
Any suggestions?
Install xposed framework and this module.

Could not extract Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
Could i do this manually some how?

You shouldn't need the zip did you try installing the apk?
It looks like its installed with the rom but not active. I cannot activate it and i cant seem to get the module to work either. I tried the apk but it just says that i already have it and it wont install.
Phone is alot less useful if it cant interact with the sd card. Is there another way to get this going or to get the phone to read the sd?
Is superuser installed and working?
yes it is. I don't believe it's that.

What error message are you getting when you try to install the framework from the xposed installer app? You might also try uninstalling the xposed installer app then installing the version from the download link
Here is exactly what the message says:
SDcard:/storage/emulated/0/android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files
Copying Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
Could not extract Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
I know the copy I have isn't working but if I erase it I might never even get a copy on. But the copy I have won't even install or update.

Looks like this came up in the xposed forum here
Sounds like the xposed updater app extracts a backup to the external sd card during installation...which you can't access, hence the error. The consensus seems to be to install this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount&hl=en to fix the folder permissions then xposed should install properly.
Well I think installing FolderMount did the trick. after i put it on the phone it detected a script error and asked if i wanted to fix it.i agreed and it rebooted and that did it! Thanks everyone!!!!!
