Yep. It is Gingerbread.

Actually, I don't think that I can release... even nightly build before 2011 and that's why so:
- Camera, Accelerometer, GPS, Bluetooth, Light sensor, LED, Speaker - not working at all
- More than half of apps crashes.
- Power management. The only way to turn off the phone - ejecting battery lol
- Absolute unstability. Freezes, lags, random crashes etc.
What's done:
- Yaaaay I launched it! (I mean nothing.)
Okaaay, I can't install any apps -_- Installer crashes right after launching

Please, don't release gingerbread before I do. That hurts my feelings.
No, I'll be serious now so here's a serious status report for you. If you want me to I can provide you with an update package later today. Some sort of present for you, because it's Christmas, right?
Working, but framework code not updated: LED
Not working, backports (hopefully) in progress: GPS
Not working, but known: Camcorder
Everything else is running stable for a few hours now.

I will not, I'm gonna create a really stable rom, with all features working. So don't worry, I'll release gingerbread not before february
I know that I said I wouldn't have a present for you because that stuff is still not doing what I want (not at all!) and not near a release candidate.
But, well, who cares. Merry Christmas.
See, that's what you get when you make me sad: A ROM that doesn't work at all with lots of issues. Hah! Your fault!

If it's doing what mine is doing it's because it's looping on some audio libraries
http://pastebin.com/juKXXr3Q
EDIT:
Upon rereading I don't think it is the audio stuff. Looks like quite a lot is wrong here. Funny that, eh? Lol
now i am sure that has boot loop now.

edit1: i don't know why . i have not any problem with cm6.1-stable boot.img thathas smaller boot size also i could run original froyo boot.img that has bigger boot.img so the problem couldn't be from by block on device !!!

I really appreciate the work you do for us Eugene, do we have any Guinea Pigs willing to test this?
Woooooooooooot
Holy f***ing s*** it's here, it's here! It's public!
I'm going to disable Voodoo lagfix, make a nandroid backup of my crap and then TEST CyanogenMod 6.1! I'll wait first for some more testers to comment about their experience, just in case something catastrophic happens
GOOD WORK!
Update: Btw just noticed that this is a port of the GT-I9000 build. As much as I love CyanogenMod, I might hold this off until calling and sdcard mounting works (or when the Vibrant version from thedudesandroid is released). When the i9000 build was released, I knew that someone was working on getting it to run on the Vibrant xD

Once again thanks Eugene for your hard work. You are without a doubt the best asset that this community has. Thanks for putting this out so more people can work on it. I'll keep my Magnun ROM (running solid by the way), but variety and choice don't hurt.

Please mod % Battery
Just when i setup KA6 . Thank you, gonna flash it now just for the sake of it.Will see in the morning how it behaves.
Wow!
All I have to say is whow, hold up your going to fast for me!
This is by far the fastest rom I have used on the Vibrant thus far. The response is just insane. Only had it 30 minutes or so so I can't say the battery life will be great.
The radio on this is insane, gps lock in like 10 seconds and within a minute on the tester was a 6m accuracy in a car doing well past the speed limit, I wasn't driving . The speed of the web browser is the fastest experience as well on the Vibrant.
I will say I tried going to Trigger twice but it wouldn't show the launcher at all, I couldn't get it fixed and in a moment of desperation tried this and I think it was fate.
Well done and many thanks!
PS: The Einherjar Dev Team is lucky to have you and if this is the product you can put out, man this dev team is the new hotness. I was already in love with Pepperkake and haven't found a rom till this one that I liked as much.

Hey, I've been using this rom since last night and so far everything is running smooth and stable.
I did not ask him what the deal was, to be honest a bad odin flash might be what did it. However I re odined and reflashed and it did the same thing. I was at work and it was coming up shift end time so I was just trying to get something working for the ride home, plus was waiting for a call from the wife.
My only request is an accurate battery mod with some wicked graphic like the circle that changes colors.
For now and the past 3 roms I've had I just used a widget out of the market so no big deal. Debating whether I want the wifi calling, before at my house I didn't get the best reception, call from wife once i got home was steller quality and no breakup so I think in all honesty the radio may have done the trick and may not require the wifi calling afterall. Plus I'm worried what it might do to this screeching performance.

You're absolutely right about the radio. I found the early versions of the Wifi calling app to be a resource hog, which is why I remove it from this build, and have always removed it from my personal builds. As far as the accurate batery mod, I'm sure that cooking up somewhere. I'm planning on taking some time this weekend to jump into framework modification and theming, so I can start bringing these things to the builds myself. Until then, we have to wait on our wonderful community here to provide us with the mods when new versions drop.
god, i jizzed when i saw the screenshot of the new music player when i was on official 2.2, it was too laggy to even go there... im downloading now!

The Multiple Lock Screens or Power Menu haven't been ported over yet. Again, a framework thing. I'm learning as I'm going and will eventually have all of these worked into an initial release. market will update itself, I can add a flashable zip to the op to add back in the Memo.apk. As far as swype, I don't use it personally, UltraKeyboard for me , but I can definitely look into it.
axura zip is missing system/apps for some reason..... can you upload a memo please? thanks!
and the swype is just a suggestion, most people use other keyboards too im guessing.
Had to sort out my Brothers HTC Desire last night, reinstalling everything after a repair.
It was embarrassing seeing how fast installations were.
Apps downloaded, installed and the phone was instantly ready to go.
My O2x on the other hand grinds to a halt when installing anything. I updated 4 apps last night and my phone was pretty much unusable during the downloads and installation.
After the apps were installed it still sat there for a good 30secs at 99-100% CPU usage.
The phone was stuttering and unusable until the Processor settled down.
I remember when I got this phone I was telling my brother about the Dual core processor etc. This may sound good but it's useless if it falls over when doing the most simple of tasks and gets outperformed by something running half the power
yes, a very annoying bug, welknown by everyone - except LG
very embarrising for LG
Yep, a pretty good cockup by LG. Custom ROMs don't have this 'feature' though.

Looks like there could be a long wait ahead. lol
The fix will be out before end of March next year, maby. As soon as we (LG) sorted the reboot and BSOD issue we (LG) will start working on your problem.
So in two weeks a year from now we promise you there will be a solution, if not sometime in spring 2013 for sure.
Althou we (LG) can't promise anything.
If you buy your telephone after summer 2013 you will be able to upgrade it to Gingerbread straight out of the box. Congrats!

There is a patch that Paul has made a week after the phones release.

And here is the explanation why this happens.
Explanation
Note the date of the post and mind that the phone was released In Europe In the last May weeks / begin of April.
If only every Android phone manufacturer gave their phones to Paul before release.

I looked at that but had also heard it didn't fix the lag.
My other concern was would Flashing CWM Recovery affect getting official updates OTA
I'm sure someone has said before that LG updates fail if you have a custom recovery
If they're a standard update.zip then they should still install on ClockworkMod recovery.
i dont get it, am i the only one without any sort of lag when dling/installing apps ? it just does it, and pretty darn fast too.
what the hell. and im on STOCK, no performance patches or nothing, only rooted and some stuff frozen. v10B
I have a lag as well. Like you just rooted with some apps uninstalled.
I kinda accept it though. My thoughts are that FSecure is scanning the install and therefore that's what's causing the problem. It's worse if you update say 4-5 apps at once.
TBH I'm not worried. I'm the kinda guy who just leaves a PC installing and hass a cup of tea. Same difference here really isn't it?
It's not F-Secure, it does it with that removed.

Lets use this thread for cm11 discussion!
Pls dont start a war like the thread in General Discussion section...
Cm11 is still in development!
We reached the point that we have to make much tests to release a fully useable first build!
Not an alpha not a beta just a full release!
Everyone who says that WE are wanna-be dev is incorrect... if he/she can things do better ... ok start show off your skills! But never insult or start war if some one says anything about possible releases or things we never said! Im a member of that Team and can say for sure that's things will go on quicker 'n quicker we fix bugs do testings and have fun to give this cheap phone some KK power. We do this not for money we spent time as much as we have and like to work together... we arent committed to release anything! Nor we are committed to make everything be sure as we told... because things can change new possibilities can 'open' or 'close' , we try to give our best to make our LG L3 good as possible!

Cm 11 for lg e400
When you go CM11? we are waiting for almost 3 months and still no
Please someone from Pure4dev releases an alpha version of Cm11 after all the majority of devs release, even with bugs, for users to test. I understand that the team wants to release an initial stable release, but release a alpha version for us (while the ROM is not stable) would not hurt nobody the Team, much less to us.

The answer you'll get is "NO". We all have to agree here that this is the fault of the Pure4Team. They gave promises, ETAs and other bullcrap to provide us hope for this device, but what they did didn't help them in the least. I am not bashing anyone, but they showed to be the most lousy "team" of developers I've seen in the couple past years since I am on XDA. I have been to many forums, either for me or friends, and not once have I seen someone so childish around here. I don't say that this CM11 they're building doesn't exist, but all they did is start a flame war. It's better to just shut up about something until it's released, than start all this asking about something that isn't yet ready. My two cents, don't ask about it until it's released.

Let's clarify... If you want to spam your opinion, you're of. This thread is about cm11 not your options about the team, @op update first post telling this

PEPEREPPEPPEEEE here I am! But not for too long, I have to do stuff on a rockchip3188 device.
If you closely look at device/[vendor]/[codename]/ && vendor/[vendor]/[codename]/ (which are the MOST IMPORTANT folders when you build a CM) You'll notice they haven't been updated for 2 or 1 Months/Month.
This leaves us three possible ideas.
1) They don't update the source code
2) They don't work on those files (This means every driver is correctly working? Then I don't see why this infamous CM11 is unstable! Everything works!)
3) Don't know, from what I have seen before, I'd say they haven't even got the display working (or else why picture the terminal? Which didn't even need a camera, you could have just used Stamp R Sist, if you even know what that is)
So yeah, I'm happy people woke up and understood. I'm crying tears of joy.

1)Sources on git are old and still with 3.4 kernel, we're working on 3.14
2)We have our private "cloud" where we place our files
3)Adreno is fixed now, if we show a blank screen everyone can say that's not turned on, logs are better in these moments.

Man, I love you just because you're so damn right. Heck, I'll even take you on a date. Everything you've said so far made perfect sense + your rage combined with some great sarcastic remarks made this one of the most interesting "conversations" here on xda. I only find it sad that you're still bothering with these kids, but I don't mind, keep rocking. Hey, Swap=Ram is enough to keep you going. I love the general section.

Is GPS working for anyone? I can't get a anything to show on this ROM or Liquid.
I wish I could get a lock, because this baby is super snappy!
I want to apologize for the lack of updates. I embarked on this project at a time when life is hectic for me and so i have had very little time to actually hunt down some of these issues. I'm hoping to do some poking around this week and figure out the GPS issues at the least. I'm not sure what's going on with it...nothing shows up in any logs as far as i can see at first glance but something is obviously up somewhere.
Its not just this ROM. Liquid has issues too. I think cm12 also. Its weird, some people have great success and other have none.
Agree, I've had no GPS issues on any of the ROMs for this device.. Pure Edition and always clean flash and wipe everything

I was aware of that fact...it just makes no sense even more considering this...if it was some file or something missing it would happen to everyone and it would trow some sort of error i would think....

Lets try a shot in the dark...can you try this for me...1.fresh boot 2. turn on High accuracy location mode 3. Open up GPS Test let it sit for a few min(or till it gets a lock) then send me a logcat of all this so i can compare...it's something to look at at least...on another note i found a fix for the WiFi hotspot...even tho for CM it seems to have fixed itself somehow it still was not working for me with slim and i could not locate any commit in CM source to affect this so i figured out my own fix...might be temporary as i will still try to hunt in CM source but won't take too much time on that
