Hello everyone.
(I'm new here, so I'm sorry if I'm posting in wrong section)
I'm trying to change the color of the clock in the statusbar from black to white.
I know there are lots of threads about this, but I've searched lots of them and I can't change it.
I checked one tutorial abour changing services.jar, but my is diferent from the one in tutorial. Here is mine StatusBarIcon.smali - pastie.org/1402990.
What should I change?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone? It's the only thing missing... I've the black bar and the white icons and text...
line 81 in that file is the clock colour
const v6, -0x1 is white.
this is assuming you are using AOSP Froyo, for AOSP Gingerbread it is in one of the .xml's (SystemUI.apk\res\layout\status_bar.xml).
it might be changed again somewhere else if you use HTC Sense (or some other similar setup) or a different version of android.
I've already tried that... And it remains black...
I'll try it again, though.
I'm using Éclair, and my device is an Optimus Boston (or Orange Boston).
Still black... Can anyone help me?

what file to change the colour of the clock and what file to change the network text colour in notification bar when its open.
if you can do it detailed itll help too.
thanks codex
p.s sry for hassle ive been doing this for 2 days now
You need to learn how to edit xml for android to edit that notification colors. I used the colorchanger.jar on Eugenes 2.1 eclair rom and it worked for me so It's not only for Cyanogen. I used the go full command aswell so it can be made to a full rom. I just learned to do this yesterday so I'm sure you will understand too
Yeah. Managed to change it, it turned red so I delted the high16 letters and it turned white the only problem was the network text colour. Only prob is I don't know how to use colour changer. Instead I resorted to pushing and puling files as well as editting the classes.dex

Hey All,
after following this Forum for quite a while and getting tons of helpful Infos, i need your help now.
I have installed a Custom Rom on my X1.
After 2 Days of tweaking Themes, Screens etc., there is one Problem left and i really want to get rid of this(!!) :
In the lower right corner of the Display (in Homescreen,Lockscreen etc. ...),
i always get a small text of the Rom-Version Info.
Is it possible to remove this text or change the color?
The text is colored white or bright grey.
Found nothing in *.cpr files.
Perhaps in Registry?
Changing Color of Wallpaper is no solution, cause i'm using black or dark Images
Hope u can help me!
(Sry for my english, i'm german... )

Click to collapse
Try to look at:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Device Beta]
"Today"= --> delete the value if exist.
Thanks a lot!
It`s working after off/on or softreset.
Have a nice evening...
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
I've been doing quite a bit of searching and I found that the color of the clock can be changed in the service.jar's "StatusBarIcon.smali"
Thing is, i think the StatusBarIcon.smali in my phone (xperia x10) is different, so I don't know which line to be editing.
Can somebody look over the code for me and let me know what I should edit.
I want to change the color from white to black.
...no one
Ok, somebody please help me out here before i go insane. Ive read countless threads and forums on this and it makes absolutely NO SENSE AT ALL.
im running Darky's newest Rom, rc4. with the Steelblue theme overtop of it.
Right now im trying to further modify the notification bar, more specifically im trying to change the the color of bar that says "On Going" and is circled in Pink.
also want to change the bottom of the pulldown bar also circled in pink.
And if possible i would like to change the background part that is circled in green.
since theres this new post rule its not letting me post a screenshot but the link is below

i have tried editing all the status_bar_XXXXX.png files in the framework-res.apk, but i havnt been able to change the stuff i have circled. Partly because i dont think im even looking at the right files, as in there not in the framework.apk
someone help me out please!
Im pretty sure you are using a samsung
So, those images you wanted to change are in twframework.apk
For Gingerbread roms, those files are in SystemUI.apk

Hey Guys,
i`m searching for a method to change my font color.
As i posted in the "Show your wallpaper sticky" my Wallpaper has a white Background.
I also made the status bar and the dock fully transparent.
So it is impossible to read the clock or something else what is written in white...
Hope someone could give me a kick in the right direction.

Changing the native font colour involves pulling your framwork-res.apk, decompiling it, editing the hex values in XML, recompiling it and then pushing it back to the phone. I'm sure if you Google "change font colour android" you'll find a few guides.
Alternatively, it would be much easier to just use a different background
hi postfatal,
thanks for your response.
i googled the entire morning and this is really the only solution?
*sigh*
so i have to learn a bit more about our beloved android system
i wouldn't change my wallpaper because after 3 years i found a nice new one
So i give it a try and make the impossible possible ;P
