Hey folks, I'm wondering if someone more clever than I could throw together a real quick Gmail icon for LauncherPro or link me to where I might find one. I'm pretty fail with photoshop and barely able to put together stick figures in MSPaint...
All I want to do is take the generic Gmail icon and turn the red bits green like the phone/web browser/messaging app.

Is it possible to save images from the xda app? Am I doing summat wrong? Alternative ly if the app linked to the post URL it would be very useful.

Now that more and more themes are rolling out for the Fascinate I figured it would be time to start a Fascinate specific thread with screenshots of your layouts/themes. Ill start it off with something I finished last night. Will be changing it up probably every other day until I find something that is crazily perfect haha.

Pull them, edit images, push back into system. Don't worry I will release a flashable zip for the themed widgets.
Here are mine as they go from left to right on my phone.
^^^How the hell did you get you contact pics to look that good? Mine look like a digital camera from 1991 took them, atleast in the people widget they do.
They're the pictures that I assigned to my Gmail contacts on my computer. They were taken with a 10mp camera.
Wish I knew how to do more......

Probably a dumb question with a simple answer, but how did you get your YouTube widget to look that way? All I get is the logo and the search and upload button.

That's the youtube.apk from froyo I believe. The video quality is better if you ask me.

Quick question: I do not see some widget specific .apk's in my system/apps, so where would those be located? I'm thinking data/apps but I'm not sure. Sorry ahead of time if this is a noob question.

Correct on the widgets, they were actually started by someone else but lynx took over at one point.
All your system apps will be in system/app and installed or market apps in data/app.
I will release a zip that will push any themed widgets to system/app.

Pretty basic. Just using Launcher Pro Plus for the most part. Linked off my FB until I get home and upload to FTP.
Hey guys! I've been around here for a while lurkin on my older phones, but since I got the epic I'm finally coming around to posting. Anyhow, I was bored tonight and no overtime came up this weekend so I made up some docks real quick, since mine was getting stale after a month or two. Hope you guys like em. I'm not a photoshop perfectionist so a few flaws may be present. When they are on the phone with their 75ish % Transparency most flaws disappear anyways. When I briefly checked them all, at a glance they all looked fine. So let me know if anythings messed up in any of them, I just run the blue now myself.
Kinda loosely based on the dreamlyfe docks with the side app drawer, but much wider so the tallmin icons fit in them nicely. In fact they were designed with those icons in mind. Let me know what ya think. Feel free to rape them to peices and create your own and re-post em or whatever
Edit: All have 74% Opaque (26% Transparency) for a nice look, and resized to work well with Portrait/Landscape. Tallmin icons will now be readable in either orientation. Wow didnt realize how ugly it was before fixed.

Sure I can, later this evening after work. I mostly just change colors with color range select and color change tool so it makes it pretty easy. If anyone else wants a specific color let me know and ill make it. Just figured these 3 were most popular.

I guess I am a complete noob lol, how would I install the dock image? I have no clue and I didnt see any option to do it in the LauncherPro settings. Maybe I missed it or I need to put the file somewhere specific?

I only know how to DL onto a PC and then xfer to the SD Card. Right click on the image(dock that you want to DL) from the OP and select save as... , then copy the image/file to your phone/SD Card. Now while at the homescreen in LP hit the menu key>preference>appearance settings>dock background>custom>and then you should be able to scroll to the image in the gallery that it brings up

Yeah...I get that....but when I download the files to my computer it doesn't recognize the .rar extention.
I should be sleeping (or working)...
oh, sorry about that i though you meant the files within the rar file. To open the file you will need "winrar" www.rarlab.com (its free) to open it.
Here is a blue themed Transparent and solid XDA apk for those who love blue like me, enjoy! If you have problems loading try to side load through something like dropbox or push through ADB.

This is my first attempt to post something for the community here, so if I forget a thanks, or don't give enough info, please tell me and I will correct it. This is a very simple mod and only took a few minutes to do. I hate the stock MMS colors, so I pulled images from the ACS transparent MMS collection here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991259. I believe Mystery takes the credit for the images I used, and I appreciate the work he does greatly.
You can flash the zip I attached in recovery, (wipe cache 3X, Dalvic 3X) or just unzip the file with androzip or whatever and push it to system/app with supermanager or your file manager of choice. Let me know of any problems. Pic is included as an attachment.
Note: This does not change the list view of all your text threads, just the colors of the chat bubbles inside each thread.

Yes that is actually true. There is a black text icon in the notification bar instead of orange or green (from whichever rom/ 2.xx/ whatever had which colors). I thought it was too insignificant to mention, but good catch
