Looking for Vodafone NL ROM - GT540 Optimus Android Development

Hi,
I've flashed OpenSwift to my GT540, and can't get to the SIM Unlock menu (normally it would pop up if you enter 2945#*540#).
Now I thought it might be disabled in the ROM, so I planned to flash an official firmware back. But I can't find one.
The question:
Does anybody have a Dutch Vodafone ROM for my GT540?
Greetings,
Job

You can't go back from 2.1/2.2 to 1.6..
I have a 2.1 rom and i can get in the menu via 2945#*540#
I suggest to flash a 2.1 rom and try it again

Could you be a little more specific which rom you exactly have?
EDIT
I've flashed Open Europe 2.1 on my phone. It took waaaaaaay to long to get past the android logo, so I started to flash another 2.1+fastboot rom on it, but halfway through that flash my phone rebooted and android 2.1 showed up. (don't know which one of the roms...)
I've pressed 2945#*540# and it worked perfectly

[Q] Flash to Stock Rom?

Okay, I'm relatively new to Android phones in general, but recently purchased a captivate and absolutely love it. I upgraded to the unofficial leaked version of froyo and am now wanting to try out a custom rom. The issue I'm having is as follows:
I've read that before flashing a custom rom, it is recommended to flash back to the stock rom first. When I tried that, I flashed back to the stock rom (pre OTA update that fixed the 3 buttom recovery mode issue) and was not able to get into recovery mode. I then tried to do the ota update and it kept failing. I then flashed back to the leaked froyo rom via download mode and am basically stuck here. My question is two fold. Does anyone have a link to the stock rom file that has the latest update (I forget the version number) or can I just flash to a new custom rom from the leaked froyo build? Would that build be considered stock?

Don't flash back to stock unless absolutely necessary. Otherwise, it's pointless and just creates additional opportunities for things to mess up and brick your phone. Wiping your data and cache partitions with CWM recovery should be sufficient for a clean ROM install.
As for the stock ROM you're looking for, it depends on your Captivate. If your phone came with JF6 and working button combos, and is an older build (1009 or older), this should work fine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989
If your button combos were disabled, either use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=818439 -OR- the first link followed by installing the OTA update (be careful, as an incomplete OTA update can perma-brick your phone).
If your phone is a build 1010 or came with JH7, the stock ROM you need is JH2. Follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10056254&postcount=36

flashing to stock, to re flash new ROM (Rogers)

i want to flash back to stock to install another ROM, i have the rogers captivate and was just planning to use the at&t odin one click, will my sim card still work? since its at&t version? thanks alot.
What are you running and why flash to stock
CM7
was running serendipity 5.12, and updated to 6.0, i didnt worry about my sim, just left it out and used wifi. up and running on 6.0 working good. although i like the swype theme better on 5.12 where would i place the apk from the older version to my phone?
first off DONT use the odin one click to stock. you will get the ATT bootscreen.
unless something isnt working you dont need to go to stock between roms.
read the rogers i896 wiki for stock rom information and how to CORRECTLY flash rogers stock. and fix the ATT boot logo if you already screwed yourself.

EDIT also check out the stock rom link in my sig!
There is a thread in this section that has the steps to go back to rogers stock perfectly I just used it to flash CM7 on it.

Newbie question about ROM flashing

I flashed my SGS with 2.3.2 a few weeks ago. Now i would like to flash my phone with another ROM. I know it's a stupid question but i wana know if i should go back to stock before i flash or just go on. If i have to go back, anyone mind telling me how?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
it depends what ROM you are trying to flash,
if you need to go back to stock then download something like JM1 with all 3 files and PIT, JM1 will restore the bootloader which gets changed when flashing to 2.3 (depending on which 2.3 you flashed)
then once you have flashed back, you can move on to whatever ROM you like, but always make sure you have a backup before flashing,
its better to go Eclair first than to whatever Froyo stock rom u prefer than maybe custom rom
alright. thanks guys : ) .

[Q] A way to backup whole stock rom

Hi guys, im new to the sgs, but got some android experience. I was wondering if i can backup the whole ROM/system from my sgs (running 2.2.1 but its kinda branded from my carrier), so that i can flash the latest 2.3.3 or even 2.3.4 with odin and if for any reason i have to take it into warranty, i can reflash (preferably with odin) the stock branded rom that came with my phone. I would really appreciate, if anyone can tell me that, i searched around but couldnt really find this specific question. ive checked the stock ROM thread, and my version is there but im not sure its the branded one, cuz mine says 2011.02 and the one there says december 2010.
As long as you are rooted and have clockwork mod installed you can do a nandroid backup from the recovery menu I believe.
To restore you would have to flash the same base rom though, i.e. any 2.2.1 ROM then let it reboot then root it boot into recovery and restore nandroid backup.
I think that should work.
I'm sure someone wil correct me if I am wrong.
I wish I had done this when I bought by phone from Orange UK branded.
If you find out how to create an odin version please post here for others too.
ok thanks, i flashed the newer version over anyways.. thanks anyways
Is this correct?
Is this correct?
I have the same issue and after having mine sent into samsung for a successful repair (with a bunch of arguing and persuasion) I would like to back up this stock rom before continuing in order to avoid that situation again.
Mines a i9000M (bell version )
You always have to hack the ROM a bit to have a backup. Either you flash a custom kernel that'll give you CWM/nandroid backup or you root the ROM so you can do some adb magic.
There are also tons of stock ROMs floating around the interwebs, so with any luck you can find your own stock there.

Can't go back to 2.x

Hi guys,
A while ago I've used Odin to upgrade to 4.1.2 with the leaked firmware. But then I wanted to try out MIUI, so before I could simply root my N7000 I had to get back to Android 2.x.
I've tried about 5-10 different stock firmwares from the official firmware thread but sometimes it just goes into a loop and other times I cant get passed the 'click on the android' setup, I get errors like process stopped, or cant load etc. I have a Dutch N7000, tried European, Netherlands and German stocks. Upgrading to 4.1+ ROMS however is simple and always works.
I've been dying to go back to 2.x or at least root my N7000 to get MIUI working. When I go to the bootloader I get that I have CSC KOR.
Are you on a GB rom now? if yes then boot into recovery and do a factory reset
