Can you elaborate a bit more, please? What version of Dolphin HD are you running? How did you access the apps tab from there?
Which image did you use for rooting?
The new Nooter image (2.12.15 released 14/Dec/2010) does all of these things for you. If you re-read the isntructions on Nook Devs you will see this spelled out for you.........
Interesting. The page must have been updated after I rooted. Very good tablet fr the price. May just reyurn my galaxy tab.

So are you saying that you actually used the new auto-nooter-2.12.15? And that you didn't sign into YouTube, then sync Gmail before firing up the Market?
I don't think I used the new version after all. I certainly did not follow the new steps. I had an existing account from my tab somaybe that made the difference. If there is any wayto tell which autonooter I am usingg I can check that. It was very sttage because at first I got an error message when connecting to marketplace directly but I was ableto getthere jsing the apps link from dolphin hd.

Do I just bought two nooks. One for my father and the other for myself. I got them so we could have a cheap Android Tablet. Should I put Froyo or Honeymoon on them , also is there a gingerbread build as well. Which is the easiest to flash onto the NC. Also which build\rom has full functionality because we are both wanting flash support for our Business. Thanks for all the help also I'm pretty new to rooting and everything. Only rooted two DX's and a Vibrant. So easy stuff there.

I'd suggest you try out both Nookie and Honeycomb using the SDcard images first and see which one best suites your needs.
I have 2 SDcards (one with each on them) that I've been testing out. So far I'm sticking with the Honeycomb preview. My main needs are to be able to browse the web and it does that well. It also plays the game or two that I want well.
I might be wrong but I don't think Flash is working for Honeycomb yet. So if Flash is a big deal to you, you may have to go the Nookie (Froyo) route.
Either way I'd suggest the SDcard method first. It seems to be the simplest way to try things out.
If you're not comfortable with rooting, you may want to start with autonootering stock Eclair and playing with that first. It's much less involved and more stable.
Is nookie froyo stable
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
The froyo is very stable now but you will once a while run into fc issues with app. I have two NC. One with stock 1.1 and running froyo from SD card. One has froyo in emmc. With the overclock, they both are very good.

What would happen if I followed the steps on the NCWiki on installing Cyanogen mod7 with stock autonooted NC?
Should O first unroot this and try installing it?
And will I be able to keep my NC books I bought?
Also: why does it say logicpd zoom2 instead of NC which it ahould

Apologies if this is the wrong section, no idea where else to post.
You will not lose books you bought but the read to me ones won't work anymore.
You can install right over stock root. No need to unroot.

Your Nook books will never go away they are safe on B&N Servers. however if you install CM7 you will Destroy all information currently on your nook. Including the Fancy B&N apps, that allows reading of Mags, and Children Books.
Once you have CM7 installed you can easily get the Nook App of the Marketplace but it can not read Magazines and children books. but you will still be able to sync you library and get all your normal books on it.
Keep in mind that CM7 is a completely New Rom and writes over all the internal Memory.
Also you just need to go to your options of the XDA App and change what the default Sig it set too.....
Does anyone know why rom manager premium doesn't show nightlies 14 or 15 yet?

I like to use my nc with my grandson. Will i lose the feature of the nook reading childrens books if i root it?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
If you boot one of the android versions from a SD you don't lose any of the features because there is no change to your NC.
Jim
Thank you!

Stock rooted NC also can still read children's books. So, the answer to the original question is that you do not lose this feature if you root. However, if you boot from SD, I believe that the B&N app does *not* read children's books, so you would have to boot to stock, ie use an unrooted Nook, to do what you want.
How do you manage your "Nook Friends" without the stock Nook Color Nook app?
The Android Market Nook app doesn't have this feature, and I can't find anywhere to do this on the desktop website either.
Anyone figure this out??
I'm Running CM7 of course.
Anyone?
And is there a way to do LendMe via CM7?
It's a stock only feature.

If you long press a book and then "details", don't lend me books show a tab for it? Looks that way on the B&N website. I can't check as I do not have any lend me books. They are few and far between.....
