Does anyone has tried an Apple magic trackpad on our TAB?
I have the Apple bluetooth keyboard working very good. I was thinking on a mouse (I would use it when remote controlling lots of window servers).
Thanks!
I also want to try trackpad.
I'm waiting for the iMac refresh and then I'll be picking up the top spec along with a trackpad. I'd be happy to give it a go but surely someone's already done it??
The shop where I bought my apple wireless keyboard allows people to try all the display models, and they are working devices, not just dummy (empty shell) models, so next time I go there I'll see if they have this trackpad and try to connect it.
I can reply to my own question. I'm trying now: it pairs but it works only with single touch. It doesnt even recognize the tap gesture, you nave to actually Press to click or to drag. So, apparently, no use. Maybe there is a different driver.

After seeing diNovo mini in action, it's got me so aroused!
This triggers me to think about bringing WM device to be a more interactive media device, especially, something like Logitech's diNovo mini for HTPC.
I'm just wondering if any developer can come up with an app that connects Kaiser to the PC via bluetooth, and turn it into an input device with the qwerty keyboard and touchscreen as a touchpad D best if this can be integrated with Sideshow! LOL). Silly?
p.s. Hey! I know I'm just daydreaming~but if anyone has the same ideas, interests, and ability to make this happen, summon your strengths!

Actually, I've been looking for a way to do this myself The closest I've got, is using remote desktop connected to the computer through WiFi. It's fun, but unpractial and not quite the solution i was looking for.
So, this possible?
I use "Signal" a program for controlling iTunes via Wifi which works well as i use itunes to stream music to different parts of the house. Its also skinable too!
In the past with my Blue Angel not only did i use that but also used Novii Remote for Stereo, TV, Sky, DVD etc and also as a remote for lights in my house.
Almost like House hold universal remote!
I have found a program called salling clicker that will control almost any media program. It also does mouse control and can send the keyboard input to the computer.
The problem is the mouse control and keyboard input are separate parts of the program so for example if I want to type in the address bar I have to go into mouse mode, move the cursor up to the bar and tap, then go into the message mode and type the address, then back to mouse mode. If it were all tied in together it would be the ultimate program for that. They may make an improvement on it too I haven't checked lately.
BTW, this is a much better deal than just the Denovo Mini because with the phone you have the screen to look at when browsing for files etc.
I found a script somebody did for salling clicker that puts keyboard and mouse together. It's written for the TyTN but works on my TyTNII. I'm also going to look into tweaking it this weekend! Looks like I need to return my Dinovo Mini.

P.S. I am aware of the fact, that I do overact a bit on it, but You gotta try this to believe. screen is a touchpad, while slide- out keys are mapped as a proper keyboard. a must have imho.

First you have to get the program called 'Salling Clicker' - it installs on your computer that you want to control.
When you have it installed and your PDA setup to connect using wifi or bt you just have to add the custom script onto your computer in the My Documents/My Clicker Scripts folder.
Then add the script using the programs menu on the computer and connect using your phone.
Hi Everyone... If you read any of my past posts, you will know I LOVE my Tilt... highyl reccomend it to anyone... My one biggest complaint is when it comes to gaming, the controls suck... I have wlays loved using my phone as a portable video games device using various emulators... All the way from my first Motorola MPX 200 .... I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to use a Wii Mote as a wireless gaming controller... Somehow connect it via bluetooth and use its buttons to control..
I have "cheated" already and done something simmilar using a Bluetooth Keyboard... Worked great, but lugging around a full sized keyboard is a bit much... I can keep a Wiimote in the car (as I already do for when I am at a friends)... The way the screen til on the phone is perfect.. So, basically I jsut need the wiimote to work like a keyboard, and use the Emulators software to map the buttons myself... Any suggestions? Would I need a driver or is there another route?? I am not worried about using the itnternal sensors or anything.. just basic up down left right a b button stuff... The "Cool" factor to get this working would over the top..
Of course, the phone is the Tilt.. I am still using the standard AT&T 6.0 Rom that came on the phone with all the usual tweaks... I use Pocket Nester to emulate the NES... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
i dont know about the wiimote but if you want to try, activate bluetooth and search for devices, press 1 and 2 on the wiimote. if it asks for a code, try 0000.
otherwise you can buy this device http://zeemote.com/
I'm not sure about winmo, but I know for desktop there are a ton of ways to use the wii-mote, both wired and wirelessly. It would be really cool to use on on the tilt, but I think we would need to create drivers first.

Recently picked up the G Tab, flashed Vegan and am thoroughly enjoying the device and its capabiliities. I have an old Think outside Bluetooth foldable keyboad. Up until this point i have used it with my HTC Touch Pro 2. I am able to search for the device and the G Tab finds it. It even lists " Think outside Bluetooth Keyboard" in the bluetooth device list. The problem is when I go to pair it asks for a pass code. I have tried both the 1234 and 0000 recommendations but each time it tries to pair it fails. Any assistance in the matter would be appreciated.
PS I have a wireless HP RK906 portable keyboard that works instantly when the receiver is plugged into USB. It is a great keyboard and others may be interested in using it- in terms of portability though i hope i can get the Think Outside keyboard to work.
Cheers forum- flashing and finding answers to my questions has never been so easy.
I've heard many of the Roms are picky of what BT keyboards work. I myself would like to get one that runs on TnT Lite

Here is how I got my Menotek flexible bluetooth keyboard to work on Vegan 5.1.1.
1. Download and install blueinput from the market or find it on Google.
Other bluetooth keyboard software will probably work as well.
2. Turn on your keyboard and press the connect button on the keyboard if there is one.
3. Turn on Bluetooth under settings, wireless & networks and scan for devices under bluetooth settings.
4. Goto settings, language and keyboard. You will see two entires for BlueInput.
Place a check mark in the first entry and click on the second BlueInput entry to get to settings.
5. Click on the spy glass to search for your keyboard. Select your keyboard from the list. This will pair for you.
6. Exit out of settings
7. Long press on any text input field and select Input method and select BlueInput as your keyboard.
I had a few problems with non response at first and had to reboot, but it eventually worked.
Not tested on other ROMS, but should work if you can enable Bluetooth under wireless & networks.

Thank you for the help. Seems like i am getting closer but here is what is going on. Installed BlueInput fine. It finds my Think Outside Bluetooth Keyboard fine. I am able to pair with it as well...even press the CAPS and NUM LOCK keys to turn them on and off in the menu. Here is where it gets strange. It won't type in any field, including office suite. Within office suite when I try to select input method bluetooth keyboard is not an option. When i go to Language and Keyboard settings BlueInput is listed included the settings...but here is the catch - when i select BlueInput im giving a message that says, "This input method myb be able to collect all the text you type, including personal data..etc" but when i press ok it wont select the method! I can hear keystroke sounds when i press buttons but still no typing on web broswer or office suite. Any ideas? Hmmmm!
I am having the SAME exact problem.

I have a Think Outside Keyboard that I use with my HTC Inspire.
- Turn bluetooth on
- set ThinkOutside Keyboard to discovery
- when your device finds your keyboard touch it to pair
- enter 0000 on the device and then 0000 on the keyboard
it should pair up without any problems.
Good Luck!

I have a stoway ultra-slim keyboard made by Think Outside and finally got it to work. At first I used the Blueinput software and I got it to work but not very well. It had quite a bit of lag and I couldn't use any of the 'FN' keys properly. I then found a program in the android market called "Bluetooth Keyboard Easyconnect" and that worked perfectly for me. You may want to check it out to see if it helps.

I followed this method and had success, but I don't know how to configure Android not to use the "shortcuts" on the keyboard.... IE: every time I hit the "e" key it launches my email app.
Any suggestions?

The Bluetooth Easy Connect was the ticket. Thanks for the tip. My Stowaway keyboard is working well with calkulin 1.1/clemsyn froyo8.
Has anyone found a compatible bluetooth mouse? I can't find a standalone bluetooth mouse that will successfully pair with my DB (I have tried a Targus Model#: AMB04US and a Think Outside BT Mouse).
Furthermore, all posts I can find relating to the subject are for a keyboard with a built-in trackpad but I hate trackpads. I want to use a standalone bluetooth mouse and don't want to have to buy a dock (I am using the Webtop hack that bypasses the need for a dock).
Thanks in advance.
I successfully used my MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 on the web-top. But here's the thing that might be causing your issue with the other mice: When I went to pair the mouse with the web-top it was waiting for me to enter a pairing code on the phone screen window and since i had that window behind a Firefox window and I didn't realize it the pairing process kept failing.
Logitech has a mouse out meant for android tablets. Maybe give that one a try?

Thanks for the suggestion. I get the pairing code window, but when I enter 0000, 1234, or 4321 (per Motorola Support's suggestion), they all fail. Targus support says it is because there is no PIN required. So if I enter something then delete the pin I entered (just to get the OK button to activate), it still fails.
I'm glad to hear that the MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works though. It appears reasonably priced online. Motorola wants me to go buy their mouse for $40+shipping. Seems a bit steep for something that clearly isn't working due to software incompatibility.

I wanted to close out this topic by giving others the following insight:
The MS Bluetooth 5000 mouse works flawlessly with my Droid Bionic both in standalone mode (nothing attached) and in Webtop mode (with the WebtopMod_Hack that enables you to get to webtop without a dock). I purchased it for $18 from a seller on eBay and found other sellers listing it for $20-$25.
Hope this helps future purchasers out.
Same here...
I'd also like to chime in and say the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works just fine.
It really irks me though, because I have an older (ironically) Bluetooth Mouse 8000 which I really liked because it had an integrated laser pointer and presentation controls on the underside of it. I could never get it to pair.
Microsoft must have made some changes in the device firmware stack because now with the 5000, I could get it to pair to my Bionic using the passkey 0000.
No matter what I tried, the 8000 would not pair.

Identical setup (stock, rooted, webtop mod), identical results! In fact the V470 has worked on DX, Xoom, and now the Bionic for me with no issues.
Same problem with microsoft notebook presenter mouse 8000
Same problem. Imposible to sync MS Mouse notebook . (Asus Transformer Prime TF201)

I have the wireless Apple Mighty Mouse that I use with my Mac and that paired up well with the phone.
I'm running the latest CM9 SELFKANG. The cursor works fine. Scrolling with the trackball is great. Clicking is fine. But it lags and locks up horribly on stock. Anyone else notice that?
Mouse Acceleration?
Do you have any mouse acceleration with the mice you have tried? I just tried to plug in a Logitech MX518 to the USB-port and i have terrible mouse acceleration (when you move the mouse slowly the mouse sensitivity is really low, but when you move the mouse fast the sensitivity is much higher).
I need to find a mouse that does not do this (or a program that will correct it).
I found a solution to this maddening issue!!!
Solution is very simple!
1) Download an app called bluetooth pairing in Play Store, its in japanese but all you need to do is click the magnifying glass icon, then click your device and hit the big blue button that comes next..
2) Disable and enable your bluetooth on the phone, the device is already paired
3) Select the device and it works perfectly.
Discovered this fix accidentally..
I use the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Works awesome no need for a third party program the mouse cursor works fine and you can find tune the mouse cursor in the language and input settings of the settings menu. I really like using the scroll wheel and you can even use right click with in ES File Explorer.
I use this same mouse with my laptop.

Anyone tried a Razer Orochi mouse? That is the bluetooth mouse I want to pick up for my laptop since I hate dongles and am adding a bluetooth transmitter internally to the laptop. Would be nice to have a mouse that will work for both my laptop and for my DB with the lapdock. I know that with the lapdock most USB dongle wireless mice will work but I hate dongles and I know one day I'm going to lose the stupid thing and be SOL.
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/tablet-keyboard-ipad?crid=1240
I know it says it's for ipad, I am wondering if it would work with the N7? Did anyone get a chance to try one of these?
It looks really good, not too small, also the case can be used as a sort of dock.
LE: for clarification, I know there is an android version too, but at the store I could pick this up, they only have the ipad version. I cannot order online at the moment. At least from the pictures the two versions seem very similar, and I was assuming they use the same BT connectivity technology.
My guess would be that its usable since its Bluetooth but the Android version would be more useful. Kind of like having a Mac vs PC keyboard on your computer. Some keys have odd symbols like the Apple command key (sometimes called the cloverleaf key) working like a control key or perhaps the Windows key. Placement of some keys will be different also. As someone who's used nothing but PC keyboards on Macs for decades I'm used to the differences but you might not like them.

You are right. I saw the key layout. Will wait with the keyboard... it's not that urgent anyway.
Wife has one, it works fine, but missing any Android-specific keys that might be on keyboards, I honestly don't know what they'd be though.. I assume things like home, back, search, media play/stop etc... None of that works. The "Opt" key launches stuff, but none of it particularly useful (Calculator etc).
But for typing etc, it works fine.
