my girlfriend inspired this great app idea.
its ambient sounds then maybe 45 minutes in it starts whispering demonic things.
waves....waves....waves....hello....waves....waves...waves....i see you....waves....
anyone wanna pick this up? free idea scare your friends.
you can just make an audio file. And why would you want that? Every 1 minute sounds more logical. I can make that for you but for PC, unless someone tells me how to write code so it works for android. lol.
it's better in the market, you could suggest it to people.

Hi, I was wondering if there was a free voice changing application thats free for our TP's. I just saw the new iPhone app, I am T-Pain and I thought it was pretty cool. Is there anyway anyone can make this app if it doesnt exist?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZQHyfDs8DI
Pretty cool huh?

Haha yeah I know, but the song is refering to people using it to make songs and songs that become hot ringtones. I, however, want it for fun.
Jay-Z is the man though. Have you heard Blueprint 3? What do you think about it? I mean, EVEN HOV USED AUTOTUNE ON THIS ALBUM!
glad somebody said something. HOVA!
Off Topic(?)
BP3 kind of sucked. OB4CL 2 is waaay better.

You can continue (a WinMo Voice modifier would be pretty nice though-I like to make Prank calls)
Okay well I was checking my phone during school and stuff and my friend, sitting next to me, looks over and was like "I have a better phone than you by 100 times" and I said "BS". He whipped out his phone...and what was it? A LG optimus from sprint (what a joke!). He was like "I can download games anytime! I can watch videos! I can make Real Madrid my background! I can download like a billion apps! I have 4g! My phone is better than yours!" Then I had to show him what kind of piece of crap phone he had. I told him "I can do all that to and my 3g is faster than yours." Then I proceeded to tell him "My phones bigger, faster, and is better in general. I can download more apps than you and handle all of the good games on my phone with no lag at all!" then I showed him my app drawer and he was like "HAH what a loser I can swipe left to right" I called him retarded and said "Dude, that's my app drawer you have the same thing..." He still was not convinced so I told him "Download quadrant from the market" We did that and guess who won? I DID! He stills not convinced....lol
Moral of the story. Don't talk to n00bs about phones!
I hear you buddy I get into arguments all the time with iPhone users about how much better and faster there phone is. Its actually pretty funny cause people think there stock rom phones or iPhones are better than our juiced up Vibrants. Not a chance!! These devs here make our phones amazing!! Like you said do a speed test or a quadrant test and there's your proof.

Ugh especially when you go to a phone place to help your friend buy a phone and the customer service doesn't have a clue about the phones and only goes on hearsay and tries to convince your friend to buy a piece of crap.
They seriously need to train their employees... especially those damn Cricket stores. Those guys think they know everything. One time they tried to argue with me and I mentioned overclocking and the guy, obviously, didn't know what the hell that meant and he said (trying to say the blackberry storm was a good phone) that "The software alone is overclocked" and I gave him a blank look of stupidity and he tried to go into specifics and I just stopped the conversation... even though he knew nothing, he was never going to give up.
My brother and I laughed when we left because my brother is sort of phone savvy because of me.
Damn you Cricket lol.
Oh man, you just reminded me of this story.
I went into the store to have my SIM replaced (I had a bad SIM), and I overheard a sales rep talking to someone about the GS4G.
This is what he said.
"Yeah, this phone is great. It runs Samsung's NEW Snapdragon CPU at 1.8GHz, with 512MB of RAM (thank ****ing god he got that right). It also runs Gingerbread, which is Samsung's newest version of Android."
And I'm not ****ing joking, this guy literally said all of this. I honestly wish I had recorded that, and my reaction.
I literally burst out laughing. I had to come up with "sorry, I though of something funny that happened at school today" to not make me call the employee stupid.
yeah my roommate has an iphone 4 only because its an iphone 4. Gets annoying, until he sees flash 10.2, my 32 gigs of internal storage and so on and so on.
They just dont give up omg I know it is SO ANNOYING

I understand that in it's current state it is a beta with only abut 8 hours of work in it. However, it's not very good. 2 of the 3 questions I asked it came back with "Fine, fine, I quit." and "I'm emailing you my resignation." after waiting for about 5 minutes each. The one question it responded to was, "How's the weather looking today?" to which it gave me the local weather for Baltimore... I live in Florida. GPS was enabled but it didn't even try to use it. It also took about 5 minutes for it to respond to that question as well.
Pretty fail at the moment.

I'm sure it would provide the weather even if you said "I don't want to know the weather today."
This app is so ****ing worthless its not even funny. I gave it a thourough testing and it was 0/20. Not one right answer, not even close. It knows what you said exactly though which is weird.

I think this whole concept is a stupid gimmicky worthless waste of time altogether, just designed to be a "Look what I can do!" advertisement.
I mean when you're on a bus or train, sitting in a restaurant, waiting at the barber/salon for a haircut, standing in line at the DMV or the Post Office or whatever, are you really going to start conversing with your phone like a weirdo and have everyone staring at you like you sprouted a second head?
It's not another person, it's not your best buddy (and if it is you have even more serious social problems than I do). It's a PHONE. Use your fingers to push the many buttons and poke the touch-screen. Jesus.
But, even if it's more-or-less useless, I guess I can see why it's important for Android to have the same big shingy bells and whistle that the iPhone does, for the sake of publicity and bragging rights.
im pretty sure the download i had said 'beta'. obviously its a ways behind Siri, but i think it has excellent potential. the voice recognition does well, but results are ridiculous. hell if it googled your voice command it would be able to tell you more. i would love an app that could tell me whatever i wanted to know while i was driving. i use the voice commands all the time. i text ALOT by voice. sometimes its more convenient when im doing somethin. if i could hit iris and tell it to move my 430 meeting to tomorrow, that would be the bees knees. i think u could sell it and make a pretty penny too. that being said, i think it would be hard for an android app to be that integrated into so many different devices. ONLY the 4S is capable of Siri (atm). Maybe if Googorola developed it, either or. Its absolutely possible and we do have some genuis people developing for android.
I am a bit suprised that this new app is being slated as the Siri Killer when Android has a few apps that both predate Siri and are more advanced.
Speaktoit is the one that I like myself but there are a few on the market.

I think siri is just a jimmick. A voice recognition app isn't a reason to buy a phone. If that's your main selling point, you've got nothing. Just my 2 cents

This is true, the problem is that iSheep are raving about it like, "lol i asked siri if she was gay my phone is better then some crap android"
I can honestly say, I thought it was cool at first as my girl has a 4S. But it's pretty useless honestly and google voice search does the same thing, better. You just can't ask Android a question, you have to say your search 9 times out of 10 which is fine...
I hear alot about this game/thing... Whats the point of it? It looks like something that you building insanely pixelated. aated cities, lands etc... Just dont get it. There has to be more. What am I missing? I read there were like 200 million copies sold. And few million on phones

Just try to play and you'll understand...
It's super addictive.
It's just basically making stuff and downloading other peoples levels they made that you have to do and like the other answer you got it is rather addictive!
Well, you're also missing stuff like crafting and survival. Depends on what difficulty you choose. Try for yourself.
I was wondering the same thing, because a bunch of guys I know love it. I tried it myself and I was bored within about 10 minutes. It's either you build something which isn't very impressive, or you sacrifice endless hours to make something awesome. But at the end of the day you don't really get anything for doing it... So I see no point either

If you're a call of duty type, then this game ain't for you.
Minecraft is more or less a creativity tool. If you aren't creative, then it's not for you.

Right now it's the pseudo equivalent of creative mode only. In creative mode, there are no monsters, infinite resources, and your character can't die.
Survival mode is really what brings out the flavor in minecraft, if for no better reason than you have to "earn" what you build by harvesting everything and *not* dying.
Initially the dev team (Mojang) wanted the pocket edition to be like creative mode only. Now apparantly they're giving it some survival mode teeth, as that's what the community has been clamoring for.
Here's to hoping there wont be too many corners cut. If so, I may have to hunker down and actually buy this one.
There is a free demo version for anyone who's curious. The demo version doesn't let you save your worlds, so whatever you build is gone when you close thr game.

i simply find it grotesque, i can't fathom the ugliness of such game
it's like worse than going back to the computers from the 70s, just with color instead of monochrome
i still remember Atari games that looked exactly just like that
Wow. I didn't believe it at first, but it's for real.
I heard about an app that someone on XDA released that helps generate random numbers for /dev/random. The theory was that the phone was blocking all over the place while trying to generate random numbers for various processes. This would slow things down considerably.
The app creates random numbers and feeds them to /dev/random every second so the applications don't have to block. It's unreal how much difference this made instantly.
Here's the thread with the explanation and download!

Hope it works for all y'all too!

I just did a whack of reading on this topic... There's a huge fire fight going on at google code as to whether or not this actually works the way it says it does... Many say yes, many say no. Either way, it sure does cut down the lag. Personally, I don't care how it works as long as it's not eating battery to do it.
I've had my phone on the charger all day. If I can still get my 24 hours on battery with this app, I'll be a happy man. I will also try integrating it into CM10 so you we can have a flashable add-on for CM10 based ROMS, with no need to have the app installed.
Edit:
In case anyone wants to read all the fighting about this app: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=42265
