Wired Tether and Quick Reboot - Hero CDMA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sometimes when I Nan-restore my CM, wired tether and quick boot are installed. Anybody know why? Residual app code or something?
It takes about 10 seconds to uninstall, but I'm just curious. Anybody else come across little quirks like this?

When you made the back up they were still on the phone. Just make a new backup after you delete them and you won't have to delete them anymore.

That's the thing, it still happens. It's weird. Was just curious if anybody experienced this too.

Weird minor problem w/ messaging??

I'm experiencing an odd problem when opening messages (sms, email, etc). Whether I click on the ok button, the scroll wheel, or the center dpad button to open a message, every so often the messaging window mins n I get kicked to the today screen. What's weird is it doesnt happen always, but probably more often than not. Anyone else having this problem? HAd this problem? Know how to fix it?
Thanks!
are you on any special ROM or anything? I have quirks every now and then, but I'm used to that, considering I mastered windows 95 and 98.
Not rom specific. Anyone ever experience this problem?

Marketplace Crash?

Hey, has anyone experienced the marketplace crashing?
Sometimes when I am in the marketplace, scrolling through it, it freezes & after about 30 secs. it closes down & brings me back to the dashboard. After that, I try to get back in the marketplace & the loading screen comes up but then it brings me back to the dashboard. I cannot access the marketplace until I power off/on my phone.
Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, me too. It's a known and common issue. MS will likely be addressing it in the January update...lets hope so.
Oh, okay. Lol, I should have checked the common issues first before posting this. Thought it was only me!
Thanks!
i have exact the same problem! maybe can someone report the same problem and have done update rom and the problem is over?
Count a "me too" on this one. Has happened multiple times, using eiher WiFi or 3G, seems to happen more often when I am "aggressively surfing" or scrolling around a lot in the marketplace. Have found no solution for it except to reboot

WiFi Problems?

I've got this problem with WiFi. At times, when I enable it, the phone slows down a lot, and opening apps take longer than usual. There's also visible slowness when moving around homescreens.
Also, at this point I can't see to turn off WIFI. from both, power toggles and from Settings. It just hangs there and sometimes crashes, otherwise, it takes a few minutes before it gets disconnected, after which the slowness is gone. Does anyone else have this problem ? And were you able to fix it ?

Are you running the stock rom? I had that happen with tunesync once but you didn't mention using that, have you tried doing a factory reset?

Yes I'm running the stock ROM (for now ). I never used tunesync so its not that. I thought about a factory reset but thought I'd hold onto that thought in case someone else had a fix for it

S6 unresponsive

My S6 randomly becomes unresponsive, it seems to happen most while charging. But when it does, the power button doesn't do anything. The only way I've found to get it working is to hold down power and volume down.
Only started happening after 5.1.1 update.
Full stock..
Any ideas what's causing it? Anyone else experiencing it?

Factory reset!
Same issue. Tried factory resetting and the problem still persists...
Same problem here. Not necessarily when I charge. Hangouts is a wreck, takes forever to launch and when it does, it lags. The keyboard also sucks and lags.
Random app crashes, this phone is wearing me out. Not sure if it's hardware, or if I should just root and send it back.
Edit: it also switches to 4G when there's a great LTE signal and it will NOT switch back unless I toggle the network in settings.
5.0.2, rooted and modified ram managment settings from the thread in general discussion. phone is slow af after an hour or two of use, a reboot fixes it temporarily but it's still consistently terrible. would love some kind of fix for this :-/

My s6 is fine. No lag and responsive while charging. Didn't have problems while on stock but I'm currently running XstreStoLite Odex

Have you tried without using the mod?
Make sure it is not an app causing the issue for anyone who has this problem

Sorry I can't be more specific. After over a year I'm still finding "hidden" settings on my 10+.
Just poke around and you usually will find it.
Sometimes I use the pull down notifications to help point me where to look and what's triggering it.
Notifications make simply be misconfigured.
Try clearing the system cache first... that can cure a lot of strange erratic behaviors.
Was it always like that? If not a 3rd party app or an update might have screwed it up.
If so this could be a real pain... as some apps don't do clean uninstalls and leave altered settings that are impossible to conventionally access. I had to reinstall a Google reader I had uninstalled once to fix a display setting it altered. Lucky I realized what had done it.
Most times it's best to track down the root cause. Even though a factory reset may solve the issue, many times it will reoccur.
