We have no Clock application. Where to get it? - Nook Color General

Anyone know what we can do here? I don't have an Android 2.1 device to get the Clock application from but it would be really nice to have as an alarm clock, etc.

My other two android devices run Froyo, so I can't help with getting the Eclair clock app, but there are plenty of options if you search for "alarm clock" in the market. I tried a couple that look very similar to the stock android clock app (Better Alarm Clock and Alarm Clock PlusV2) and they did not display properly, as the bottom half or so of the button bar was cut off by the B&N modified status bar in both portrait and landscape, so the stock app may not work right even if you had it. Gentle Alarm, on the other hand, appears to work properly.

Can't beat beautiful Widgets. Cool stuff.

Simple clock widget?

I can't seem to find three default android clock widget and the market us flooded with crap. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Unfortunately Samsung didn't include any stock Android clock widgets. They did include the Nexus One live wallpaper though, so go figure. I recommend throwing down for Beautiful Widgets, it's like $1.90 and can do amazing things.
"Weather and toggle widget" $1.99.
I've always liked the "Sense" flip clock and this is satisfies my taste.
I use one that's just called Digital Clock Widget by Maize. Just a really simple digital time with the day under it. Can be a 1x2 or a 1x4 widget. Not TOO much customization, but it definitely does the job well.
What's wrong with the Samsung Clock Widget that comes with the phone?
I am using Retro Clock.

I really like this app too, plus it has many downloadable skins you can get for the clock and weather.
Fancy Widget is nice and free (but i can't post a link since i'm a newbie)
lol, no one knows how to get the default clock widget. I'm surprised. To me that was one of the trademarks of android. That big clock widget on the G1
And has anyone figured out how to remove the clock from the status bar on the top? I did a search, but nothing turned up. . .

You need to wait for Froyo.

predator clock widget 1x4 setting is awesome .u can change colors to match ur wallpapers very cool ul love it and its free in the market
It is is not a simple clock widget, but Fancy Widget Pro is da bomb!
I use "animated analog clock" by DNS project. It has seconds hand! 99% of clocks have no seconds! Is it really that hard to makes clock shows seconds??
I like Simi Clock Widget. Clean appearance, can launch multiple apps by tapping, and its free.
Fancy Widget Pro is the best out there for clock and weather. Has so many skins and new ones every day!

[Q] CLock Icon Dissapeared on Galaxy S

Dears
my Clocks Icon where Stop/start watch and the Alarm are exist Disappeared from my mobile?why that?anotherthing is there any way to retrun it back?
some1 help
when you say disappeared, do you mean the clock icon from the top bar?(task bar) if so mine also disappears but its still working in the background.
To get to it and the stop watch head into applications and click on clock. If you mean its gone from applications, then i'm not sure why
yeah i mean the second thing that they icon dissapeared from application and i cant find it out, even i tried application from the market for alarm, it works but i want the orginal icon
it sounds like it might have been uninstalled somehow or the launch icon has been removed. I would have thought it would be a system file so i don't know how you managed that.
Does your phone show the time in the top right corner? if so then it must still be installed.
All i can think is maybe you can download the files for the galaxy from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=712594&highlight=galaxy+apk
find the clock app and reinstall it
yes friend the time is shown in the corner...thanks for the folder i downloaded and used the clock app but installion fail dunno why :S...
btw thankis for your help.
I thought that the clock icon on task bar is indicating alarm clock (it appears when an alarm is set). Try to set an alarm time.

[Q] Alarm widget or app to show next alarm (NOT CLOCK!)

Is there any widget to show the next alarm or a program to show alarm (not a clock icon, the time of the next alarm) in the status bar? I can't believe that it's impossible to show the next alarm. Every alarm widget is just a god damned clock, linking to the alarm app.
+1
looking for this as well!!
anyone?....
havent heard of an app like this.. i use alarm clock launcher works perfectly on my droid... just like the old alarm clock before froyo
Hi, try Alarm Master v1.1.3, for me it's ok.
If your using stock rom with sense, the desk (dock) clock shows the real time, but in small print it shows the next alarm below the actual time. I hope this helps.
Edit: wrong forum... Sorry.
I'm looking for the same thing. Did you found something? j
i didn't...i don't think it exists...
+2! Man, I've been looking for a widget to do this so I can add it to Widgetlocker. I can't believe there is nothing out there. I know there are plenty of devs here... the problem is for them to find enough time and care enough to do it
I have found some. Search for "sense analog" and "sense analog small" on Market. Not exactly what I'm looking for, unfortunately there is only two 4x1 and a lot of 4x2 widgets, no smaller.
Edit: Nope, these aren't working. All of them show the next alarm for a time, but then it disappears.
I found a widget that shows next alarm time: Advanced Clock Widget!
Omg, I can't post links, this is ridiculous!
Search market.
It is customizable so you can remove the clock if you want.
Its not the prettiest though, hoping for some more options and padding in future versions.
Advanced Clock Widget unfortunately doesn't work on android 2.1.
I found another clock widget, that can show next alarm info - Digital Clock Widget from Red Wizard.
market://search?q=pname:red.extension.DigitalClockWidget
QR Code in attachement
3D Flip Clock & World time show the next alarm time.
I was searching for a widget which only shows the next alarm time too...
Check out Alarm Widget and Alarm Widget PRO :good:

I realize this is an old thread... but hoping my response is useful. I wrote an app that shows the time of the next alarm in the status bar. It's called "Next Alarm" (comes in the forms of "Next Alarm Free" and "Next Alarm Pro"). Both available in the Play Store:

Looking for Clock App

Currently running CM 7.1. I preferred the TW clock app. I really liked having multiple time zones, stopwatch, and countdown timer all in one app. Is there any way to run the TW clock in CM? If not does anyone know of an app that performs all those functions.
It's a little frustrating-for years, no decades now, I've had digital watches that can perform all those functions. Now I can't find an app in the market that can perform all those functions. Sure there are plenty of standalone timers and clocks, but it seems like a natural to have those functions combined.
Thanks.
I used to love the TW clock, too, but i switched to alarm clock extreme for the volume crescendo. Just pulled the stock tones from ED05. Now I'm happy again

Thanks for the alarm clock extreme tip. I downloaded the app and it does have a countdown timer, but it lacks time zones and stopwatch functions.
I could live without the stopwatch, but since I travel and communicate frequently with people in various time zones that is pretty important. I'm loath to load another app just to get time zones.
It's been awhile since I've written any computer programs, but maybe I'll have to learn how to write code for my phone so I can get the clock app with the functions that I want.
Digital and analog clock. Free on the market. Set up as many clocks in as many timezones as you want.

Weird clock problem

Sometimes the clock just doesn't get updated at all. Check out the screen shot.the clock on the notification bar works fine but the one on the home screen stops updating itself. This happens with stock clock and beautiful widgets as well.
I am on stock ROM and non rooted phone

Anyone?

I have a different clock related problem: often, when I set the timer or the stopwatch feature and then let the screen timeout, the clock forgets that its timing something. When I go to check on it, it has reset to zero.
I have the same problem here, the standard Samsung clock and the beweather clock stops working at random.I
have got the problem since the ICS update...
Is either the launcher problem or task killer killing the clock. You can use the clock widget that comes with your launcher. If you are using task killer, make sure your clock is in your ignore list.
