How do I boot from a micro sd card on the Nook Color? I'm trying to dual boot with a different OS.

Hi,
Just went thru the following thread:

It has a dual boot on the emmc...
Is it possible to have a dual boot on sd card.
i.e. stock rom on emmc and Nookie froyo + Honeycomb dual boot from sd card.
Just a thought......
Hey used your site a tons for my Droid X and eris now have a nook running dual boot with the honeycomb rom. My problem is my sd card seems not to be recognized by the honeycomb rom. It try mount sd card and nothing happens. Formatted card as both ntfs and fat with no change. Anyone else had that problem or am I missing something
I'm wanting to setup my Nook Color to dual boot between the Nook Rom and either CM7 or Honeycomb. I've heard that it's possible to have it boot from the SD card. I just need a simple way of doing it. Thanks!
The problem with dual boot is recovery can only access the main boot (the one it defaults to)
For sdcard, burn your desired rom to the sdcard and run it, it won't change the Emmc
Is there a way to make our device boot from SD card?

Currently CM 10.1.3 is installed directly in my nook.
Im thinking about installing the stock OS to a SD Card and dual booting from time to time.
When you Dual Boot, is it simulare to a linux/windows dual boot, you pick a default OS and time out period ?
Any usefull links on dual booting would be great.
- thanks

No, it is not like that. If you want to bootable to internal memory, leave the SD out. If you want to boot to SD insert the SD and boot. It is possible to set up a boot menu to leave the card in and let you choose from a menu, but verygreen's stock SD does not use that.
