No, either root or wait for the official Froyo update.

Just receive notification for an update for flash player. I am running rooted 2.2 stock from rom. Manager. Does updating broke anything?
Depends on how you are rooted the flash/others update breaks some of the root methods

From what I have been seeing it breaks the "1 click" type roots you got from installing an app. You can get root back but until a new exploit is found you will have to do it the "hard" way (push custom recovery and then root via update.zip)
This update also enables Exchange Policies, allowing your Exchange server to be set as a Device Admin and force policies down. It is a non-event if you do not link to a corporate email system.
Thanks for the info. But is there any way to stop it poping up every other minute.?

Go into settings about and see what version you have latest is frg01b I believe ... of you have anything else you can grab the latest version from rom manager . Search for it in market.

I've seen a few mentions if this, but never a straight answer (sorry if I just missed something similar to my post.) After a root, what is needed to perform an OTA update? (given that Samsung's eventually comes out) Will I need to unroot? Will it just work? I'm a noob for android, coming from WM.

From what I've read, and been told, just simply un root, and perform the OTA!

Also forgot to add this: if I unroot, will I still have my unlocked market sources? (Ability to sideload, w/e you call it...)

You do not need to unroot to recieve OTA updates. However when you recieve one it will unroot on it's own. Yes you will remove your unlocked market access, I am fairly certain that you need to be rooted to use this. I could be wrong about the later. There aren't any OTA updates at the moment so don't unroot prematurely. Just keep and eye on the forums and you will know when an OTA update is available and what you should do from there.
I've been keeping my eyes out, but thanks for the heads up. If I lose non-market access, will it uninstall my third-party apps?

your apps will stay as they've already been installed..
Another quick question here, can you just unroot if you're using a different kernel (SRE) to get the OTA patch?
Thanks
Until we get a push it's hard to know if it'll work or not. Stay tuned to xda, I am.

Hello. When I open my Amazon app store on my rooted kindle,
it asks me I've I want to update. If I do, will undo my root?
Thank you.

Yes always deny manual updates and I'm assuming you've already disabled OTA so you should be safe.

In my experience updating the Amazon App Store doesn't affect root at all, I usually manually update but have let it go ahead a few times from the update prompt & nothing has happened in regards to losing root, BTW I'd already ran the OTA scripts.
Anyway, if you want to you can manually update the App Store by getting the latest APK from here - http://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/get/android/ref=mas_rw_ldg
I'm trying to install an app but it won't work on a rooted device. Anyone know a good work around?
Unroot. There is no work around. Some apps don't allow root for security purposes.
Ps I've used two nandroids to work around one rooted and the other not.

I have successfully updated my Moto X to lollipop.. I was would like to root my phone now but I have a question..
If I root my phone now.. How will I get the future updates??
I have rooted my previous phones but there I could get updated roms with updated system version.. But here I don't see any roms..
Thanks in advance.

As long as you don't change any of the system files you will get the updates. If you flash other Roms you have to use their updates or flash back to stock to take the update.
