[Q] Problem with transparency - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I'm currently having an issue with transparent widgets. Miui music, Poweramp widget, Fancy Home (miui clock), they all look bad while *NOT* scrolling (through Homescreens). I assume it has something to do with sharpness adjustment or something like that. (. No matter which ROM or Kernel I use, the problem persists (even after wipes), and my friend is also experiencing this problem on his device (also an I9000).
As it is quite hard to explain, here are 2 screenshots:
This one was taken while scrolling, so it did not have the time to adjust the sharpness or whatever:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This one was taken after the self-adjustment:
Notice the round-shaped shadow under the weather icon and that the reflections became striped. Though the clock's panel is smoother, the transparent parts bug me more.
Anyone knows why this is happening and how can be fixed?
Thanks!

Transparent cm7 android music help request

I am trying to build a CM7 theme and one thing that's annoying me and keeping me from releasing it is a transparent now playing screen for the stock CM7 music app. Basically, I want the background transparent. If anyone is able to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a screenshot of the screen I'm talking about...

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
There should be a audio_background.xml in the drawable-hdpi-finger folder on decompile...Try changing the colors to #00000000
Thats what I do to change the now playing background in the theme engine..
Not exactly transparent. Wallpaper isn't visible like the dialer...

Weird Calendar Widget Behavior

I'm experiencing strange behavior with the Samsung Calendar Widget (all of them). For some reason, it compresses when scrolling through the home screens and looks squished. Sometimes it even stays compressed. See below screenshot to see what I'm talking about.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Resizing the widget doesn't do anything. Also rebooting doesn't fix it either. At some random point it will revert itself to normal. However I can't seem to find a fix as of yet.
Also the Samsung Calendar Widget is the only Widget that exhibits the above behavior.
Anyone else experience this?

Moto display pixelated

Hi guys,
I have got the following problem since i have updated to marshmallow. The icons in Moto Display have lost their sharpness and are very pixelated:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It seems like the anti aliasing is turned off for the icons?
This is so since the Lollipop, amoled screens have the ability to trigger only the pixels needed for displaying certain content.
In the case of Moto screen, serves to economizare energy.
Sorry 4 my english!
Yes, but look at the numbers. The numbers are sharp, but the icons arent. This is how it looked like on lollipop:
That's something you may be just noticing now.
Icon resolution has always been more pixelated in moto notifications. Since kit kat. It's too reduce battery consumption. I've noticed it since day one.

Light Bleed on top

Hi guys!
Anybody noticed some Light Bleed effect on top of Pixel 5 like mine?
I noticed it when i was using the phone in a dark room...
Can this get "bigger" after some time? Should i ask for replacing the screen?
Thx for your help!

Hi, I see same effect but I think it's not a screen issue. If you pull down the notification Bar or up for the apps it's black. Same when I use nova launcher, the same black wallpaper I use don't show any bleeding that area. Maybe related to to status Bar in Google launcher
Late reply but i think @michathecat is right. I think there is a effect called "top shadow" (there is also "bottom shadow") that makes this effect. Try installing CPL (Customized Pixel Launcher) from play store (free) and turn those shadows off and you should be good with the "bleed".

Question Changing Fonts Affect on Different UI Elements!

So the default font ain't that special so I changed it to sth fancier ALTHOUGH,
the following elements change with no problemo:
icon title, settings and menus, messengers, other texts and whatnot, even the gboard;
font doesn't apply on the goddamn status bar, notifications and toggles!
it changed to the new font for a brief period and reverted over night.
i wiggled every setting i could, alas to no avail.
