Oakley microfiber pouch (MEDIUM) might work well since the pouch just slightly bigger then the Dell pouch.

I saw a case like the one that came with my streak at the 7-eleven store .. It was a sunglasses case.
Thanks all, no luck on finding a seven11 but will look into Oakley.

Greetings... I have a pouch I won't be using...
Send me a pm with your address and I'll drop it in the mail to you!
How are people using the pouch?
If I had my phone inside the pouch and my phone rings, it would go to voice mail by the time I get the drawstring opened and get the phone out.
That's why it sits unused on my desk.
If there is anyone that would like to sell me theirs, please PM me. I lost mine and can't find it anywhere.

I used the drawstring because it seemed like the phone would just slide out onto the floor if you accidentally held it upside down. But then it was hard to get it it open wide enough to get the phone out of the bag. This is why I don't use it.

Hey Everyone, I was goofing around Amazon and came across this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846
So I tought I would let everyone know! It is a cool looking carbon skin, with a screen protector for $15... My only concern is that it looks like it is one big skin on the back so that could be problematic.
Looks OK all we need is a Guinea pig lol

I'll give it an try and report back!
Ordered one of these on 8/16. Got dilivery notice right away with USPS tracking number.
USPS tracking said "Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received" and has never changed.
Waited checking tracking daily and hoping.
Late on 8/27 got an e-mail from amazon telling me my order was being refunded "Due to customers request." I never requested a refund. I wanted the product.
Checked out the companies feed back and found out I am not the only one that happened to. E-mailed to see what is going on, but others say I will never hear from them.
Time to look for other solutions.
Same thing happened to me.

i got this from amazon on friday and put it on no pics it does add some depth to the streak and scratch protection. I just cant wait for the otterbox commuter to come out. I heard a tell on another forum that they are listed under dell premier logins with a 2 week backlog. i cant confirm that yet because my shipping person is out on vacation for the week.

That link was a surprise . . That is my Streak . . my pictures . . After that I got the Otterbox, the $19 one .. Took off the skin and put on the Otterbox .. HATED IT [don't like the way it feels to the touch, I am constantly picking lint off of it..] and I have since purchased another skin. I bought the clear one .. Sort of wish I bought the one in the picture again but the clear skin hasn't arrived yet. Maybe I will like it. I like the skinomi screen protector better than the one that comes with the otterbox. diane
You should try the otterbox communter if you don't like the feel of the impact. The communter has a hard shell.

if you are talking about the mugen 4800mh battery then probably none of the otterbox cases... they are all perfect fit of the original streak size.
Upgraded from a G1 and found that the Nexus S fit perfectly into the sleeve case that came with the G1. The wife was jealous so I found a place selling through Amazon that has them for about $5. I ordered 2 since mine is pretty worn.
Just some added protection, maybe overkill. It is all plastic I figure this can only help. I'm not a big fan of most of the over the phone cases.
got the amazon link?
cheers
Sure, I didn't know if we could link outside of this site.
http://www.amazon.com/T-Mobile-HTC-...EQJ2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1293042901&sr=8-7
If the link gets removed just search for: HTC G1 case
I'm considering getting this, but before I order, I was wondering if it would be possible for you to please post a few pics of the device inside of the G1 pouch.
Thanks in advance!
Weird, I thought the G1 sleeve was specifically designed and engineered, by the great folks at HTC, to only work with the G1?
The G1 one is to big, I tried it. But if u hold it in ur hand, the phone can slide out.. I use my nexus one pouch. Its a tight squeeze, but is just perfect, for now.

My G1 can slide out of the G1 pouch as well. The G1 is definitely thicker, but their overall length is pretty close. I'm sure there is some risk of it coming out easier than the G1.
It works for me, but YMMV.
Im temporarily using the g1 pouch on my nexus s and it works great.
the Nexus One pouch works pretty well also. I am using that temporarily until i get my phone skin next week.

My links are broken because xda says as a "new user" I am not permitted to post outside links in my messages. That apparently includes images.
We got the new G1 cases yesterday and they are an even tighter fit because they have not been stretched out by a bulky G1.
The way I look at it, they were $5 each shipped. That's it...$5. Most of you just spent $530 on a phone but are worried about spending $5 on a sleeve.
It's not the end all be all, but it does the job well and like I think I mentioned before, I hate those protective cases attached to the unit.
I paid 580 bucks, so I'm sure I can afford the right sleeve n skin for my new phone. Not from my 3 year old phone...

You can order the back place directly from dell for about $30.

Yes, and if it isn't sprayed on from the beginning you probably have to do it yourself after a while. My red one has started to flake. A little problen compared to all the others I have had before I found out I had to replace the 2gb internal internal sd-card.
As bad as they may be, is there a link to where exactly at Dell I can order one from?

You could send it back, they are good about replacing faulty goods or if you use a sharp knife you can carfully shave off any bits of excess moulding that might cause the case not to shut properly.

Just file a warranty claim and sell the new one. I popped the screen protector out of my Defender got tired of not having it and emailed saying it fell out. No. Serious answer.
If you do attempt to put it back on, you can glue it. If you really wanted it back on you can glue it. But forcing it out may bend / distort the screen protector. It's no good anyway.

A read in this forum, and actually in Amazon reviews for Defender, people use a hair dryer to soften the glue and remove it easily.
Regarding the whole thing with Otterbox and customer support, I had original Defender for a few days purchased from Verizon store. After quickly realizing the shortfall with that built-in screen protector, I contacted Otterbox directly and was explained that problems get resolved easily by them sending me email with claim number and me providing them back 3 pictures with a problem and/or additional small video clip (to show flex of screen protector). They told me that once you send the claim in, a replacement will be shipped to you and YOU have to send back the original case. My point, if you are not happy with a Defender, just return it back if you can rather than taking screen off and than gluing it back together which going to void warranty. In my case, I went back to Verizon store, tried 3 more Defender in there - all with the same issue, and just returned it back.
Regarding moral issues, so how about that "almost real" thread? I think I mentioned it in there a few times as a disclaimer that these come very handy when you want to modify Defender for extended battery and don't want to butcher your $60 case.

screen protector really does work. when it looks like smudges, air bubbles, or blemishes within a 48 - 72 hours they do all go away.
there was what looked like dust smudges which bummed me out but 2 days later ...completely gone.
CAUTION !!
i used the Spen and it leaves track marks. a few have disappeared but the more pressure you you put on the screen the deeper the marks look ... ill report back to see if they went away
