Facebook Contacts

Hi guys,
Most of the email/server stuff is totally unknown territory for me
I've got 2 questions about contacts, and how they work.
1. "Unable to edit SNS contacts on phone", this is weird, cause I thought this was only supposed to happen with Facebook Contacts, but I'm getting this message when I'm trying to edit a gmail contact. Why?
2. Facebook Icon in Contact List
Blue Icon (with white "F") / Green Icon (with "head/torso").
What's the difference?
I removed my Facebook account and added it in again on my phone yesterday.
Previously, I only had the Green Icon in my contact list show up.
Under "Display Options", this was also the only facebook contact type listed.
Now, after syncing my Facebook account again, I have both the Blue and Green Icons.
Both Blue and Green also show up under "Display Options" as separate entries.
I'm wondering how come there are 2 types, and which does what?
And whether I even want both.

The only green icon I have is the one with a phone in it. (Actually after looking the sim card icon is also green.) My fb icon is blue with a white f in it. The only one that shows up though is the google one because I got tired of messing with the sim card everytime I flashed a new rom.
I think the "Unable to edit SNS contacts on phone" message just shows up if they are joined with a fb contact but you can still edit the google or phone part. You can't change their picture though, maybe you can if you unjoin them then rejoin.

Sounds like you're talking about the "Display Options" screen.
I have
Phone (green with white phone)
Sim (green with gold squares
Google (black with white rim)
Facebook (blue with white "f", the standard facebook logo)
Facebook (green with a white head and torso, pretty much the same head/torso as my launcher pro contacts icon).
Does anybody else know?
Both list my email beside the contact.
As for the SNS contact, that person didn't have a Facebook contact.
Which is why I thought it was so weird when I tried to edit their google contact.

[Q] Weatherbug Weather Alerts not visiable

Top of the day to you all,
Shortly after rooting my Nook I had to install weatherbug and over all the program works as expected except for one small problem. When I go to read a weather alert the screen appears as black and I am able to see the alert title, however the actual text underneath I can't read. I tried to change the text color but still can't read it. Any suggestions?

Stock Clock widget anyone?

Hi,
for some reason my stock Sammy clock does not look right... Ever since loading ICS mine has a black background, the font looks different (fatter) and the day/month/date is displayed at the bottom right instead of the bottom left.
Can anyone post their std clock apk?
Also, the original picture frame widget in HC was much nicer. It used tobe rectangular with a "play" button in the bottom right. Now it is either square or displays multiple images and has a "settings" type gear cog in the bottom right. Is this an irreversible change with ICS or would the old one still work and can anyone post that too?

Arghhhhh!!!! Now I have completely lost the widget! I have it in system/app/ but it doesn't appear in the list of widgets when I try to add it to a screen.
I don't think it it is the correct apk.
Could someone with the official ICS upload theirs?

Anyone got any ideas?

I'm also having this problem... the honeycomb clock looks nice, while the ICS one is horrendous. It shows up looking correctly in the widget picker, but its appearance gets ugly as soon as its on the home screen, without any options to tweak it.
Can anyone post a fixed version of this widget? I'd be willing to root my device just to get it back.

Same problem here,the name of the day does not show there is only number instead.
I tried to swap the clock widget but it wont allow me to do so and I cant delete it either.
Iam new to this android stuff, does the tab need to be rooted and what program is best
to change sytem files ?

I know this is dragging somthing back form the dark ages but does anyone who has(d) this issue know of a way of resolvinf this?
My screen just doesn't look the same anymore at... I used to be able to line up the clock and the weather app (stock) exactly under each other. Not possible anymore, there's a gap between the two.
Or is it just the way ICS is (if you use TW Launcher)?

How to get Blinkfeed Highlights to show calander correctly?

HI,
I am using Stock ROM and when viewing the blinkfeed highlights, it shows my calendar,but it shows dates that have passed. So, If I look at it for today for example, I see tiles 9/14, 9/16, 9/17 and 9/18. Is there anyway to just have it shows whats happening today?

[Q] [Q} What on earth is happening to my homescreen icons?

Hi folks.
I am having a really odd thing happening to my home screen icons.
I have searched the viper rom threads and HTC one threads but can't find anything similar.
I decided to put a few icons on my homescreen in a grid. (see first pic)
When I go to select any icon they all jump to left. (see second pic)
If I go into apps and back to the home screen the icons return to the original position...
The other odd thing is if I try and select the far most right icon it registers as a press on a blank screen. (ie it takes me to the widget selection screen and not the app I selected. It seems as if the grid is messed up and registering hits one icon off.
Example, if I try to hit settings icon in first pic it registers the people icon...
Anyone have any idea what is going on?
If it helps, I am on Viperone 3.5 Rom with the 4.06.1540.2 firmware,Hboot 1.5.5 and I'm S-OFF.

Anyway, I've found a workaround for now if anyone else has this problem...
I removed blinkfeed and added a blank screen where blinkfeed would have been and it stopped happening.
If I add a blank homescreen to the left and put icons on the screen next to it (my main center screen), this jumping around stops.
Weird but it seems to work.
