Also, wrong section.

ok as u said i need to use FRG33 ( FRG33 is upgraded version than FRF91 ?)

Just grab the image from here: http://developer.htc.com/

Have you tried the last update (FRG83D)?
Although if you want the FRF85D, first flash the FRF50 update (http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?url=paul/nexusone/update-nexusone-FRF50-signed.zip) and then upgrade to FRF83 with oficial recovery (http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?url=paul/nexusone/Update-Passion-FRF83-From-FRF50.zip) and finally upgrade to 85D (http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?url=paul/nexusone/Update-Passion-FRF85B-From-FRF83.zip)

Korean N1 was released with 2.2(FRF91) from the start, IIRC. So I don't know if downgrade is possible. (And, you can still root your device via rageagainstthecage exploit after upgrading it to 2.2.1(FGR83))

can i able to install custome rom after update to fgr83 as u say

Froyo for AT&T/Rogers (build EPE54B)

I have been checking the massive froyo thread since it was on page 7 (now its > 120 pages) but still no love for AT&T/Rogers Nexus one.
My phone is unrooted and running stock rom with Firmware on 2.1-update1 and build EPE54B. Can people who have froyo on their at&t nexus one please post a step by step guide?
Should be the same method and file as that used for the T-mobile compatible phones.
id really like this answered too..i dont want to take a risk and brick my N1.. so far all the guides are ERE27..
The update zip as it stands is only for ERE27-FroYo... sorry.

That makes no sense.
The guides are ERE27 only because that's the latest Eclair update. You need 2.1 update 1 to be able to jump to Froyo. You guys have the AT&T/Rogers version, which has a newer radio than those of us with the T-mobile compatible versions. If you're on the AT&T version, you already have the most recent update and can simply flash the file everyone's talking about. If it weren't compatible for some reason, the file would not flash and simply give you an error message. So there's no risk here.
I saw many at&t owners have froyo successfully flashed. They flashed to ERE27 first. Does that need rooting?
Thank you for this information.

I guess the 20 pages of 100% stock AT&T guys not being able to flash this are just morons then.
The update zip only lets you go from ERE27 to FroYo. Those with an "AT&T version" and FroYo had to flash ERE27 first... that also means unlocking the boot loader.
Yup, AT&T/Rogers folks are going to have to wait unless they want to unlock their bootloader, flash to the 27 build and then update to FroYo.
At this point there's no point to unlock the bootloader if you've waited this long already. Keep your warranty and wait a little longer, I'm sure an update for the Rogers build will surface soon.

What a bummer! Yeah I have waited this long to preserve my phone's virgini.. I mean warranty so I guess I'll wait longer.
At least its good to know that the build for at&t and rogers is the same!
I have the AT&T N1, and earlier today I flashed and formatted my phone back to new. I now have Froyo and it's working fine.

Clearly rooted and unlocked bootloader, otherwise he wouldn't have been flashing anything.
thread title misled me.

I have successfully flashed Froyo on my (AT&T) N1 with this:
http://android.modaco.com/content/g...com/309286/frf50-froyo-pre-rooted-update-zip/
I previously was on CM 5.0.6 with Amon RA Recovery v1.7.0.
I wiped and installed the update, it did flash a new radio. Rebooted and Froyo was waiting for me!
Hope this helps anyone that is not sure.

Stock 2.05.405.2 still shows HBOOT of 43.0001

My unrooted stock Legend currently running 2.05.405.2 still
shows a bootloader of 43.0001. I went from stock 1.31.405.5 to 2.05 via OTA.
This seems weird considering 2.03 has a later version of the bootloader.
Is this the same for all 2.05 users? Is my bootloader corrupted in some way?
Perhaps it means I can root it without downgrade.

How did you get OTA 2.03 if you have 1.31???
Hi,
Sorry, I got my numbers mixed up. I had 1.31.405.5 and got 2.05 ota.
I've edited the original post. Nonetheless, the bootloader still shows 43.0001.
I checked also, same build and still show hboot 43.0001. Weird. Anyway
I don't complain.

Hi, my device is still on 43.0001.
Is it possible to root my device without downgrade?
Did you root your phones?
Why don't you thyself just give it a try? Please move this to Legend general...?

Hey I already tried rooting and it gets stuck at
43 main version error with modaco rooting guide.
So I'm assuming i have to downgrade to 1.31.
Oh and I have no clue how to move a thread in xda.
Have you had any joy with downgrading/rooting?
Im in the same exact boat as you myself and I dont seem to be having any luck with the downgrade ;(
No luck with straight rooting. I'm going to downgrade
then root.
If you have any luck with downgrading using the guide on this forum let me know as im having no joy.
Im in the same boat as you, same software and bootloader but the downgrade doesnt seem to play nicely ;(
Few days ago i've downgraded (from 2.05 to 1.31) and rooted my girlfriends phone, no problems at all. Just follow the instructions and you'll make it.

Yep I noticed your reply in the original thread, but i seem to be running into an issue that hasnt been brought up before ;(
Il keep trying!
Hmm. I will try it soon. Also must try the soft root method that
is out on the forum. Since it loses root once rebooted, I was
wondering if clockworkmod could flash a rom, probably not.

[Q] Downgrading Hboot Loader

Hey,
I rooted my htc wildfire with unrevoked and worked fine, i got the official 2.2 update come in and i went to install it but i couldnt cos it was rooted , so i flashed my phone with 2 Rom's but they upgraded my bootloader so i cant flash my phone any lower can anyone help me?
Thanks in advanced
Dhar9417
You cannot downgrade your bootloader. I think you're stuck until someone finds a way to root the new HBOOT.
I just want to go back to the stock android 2.1 , then update it to 2.2 ofiicially without rooting
The 'custom ROM' you flashed is actually official FroYo. There would be no difference even if you downgraded and got official FroYo. (Its not possible yet as stated above anyway, but, just letting you know)

[Q] How to dowgrade from Gingerbread Radio to Froyo Radio?

I have an Incredible S running froyo. I used the alpha method to S-Off then I rooted the phone. Since I was rooted I decided to add a rooted gingerbread rom. I extracted the rom.zip from the gingerbread RUU for my phone and ran the rom.zip through the Rom Kitchen. Only option I picked was to root. (Kept it simple) The rom wouldn't flash. Kept getting stuck on the slash screen so I used recovery and went back to my working froyo backup. Then I decided to download CM7 rom and flash it. The same thing stuck on CM7 splash screen. Used recovery and went back to my working froyo backup. I figured maybe I need a gingerbread radio for the roms to boot. I installed eng hboot and flashed the gingerbread radio for my phone. I tried installing both my rom and the cm7 rom with no luck. Both roms get stuck on flash screen. So I used recovery to go back to my working froyo backup. Now I'm stuck with a Froyo rom and a Gingerbread radio.(No sound on calls) I tried flashing the original froyo radio but after flashing the froyo radio my phones go into a boot loop with the HTC splash screen. So I flash the gingerbread radio and phone boots up and works again except no sound on the calls because of the gingerbread radio.
So my question. How do I downgrade from a gingerbread radio to a froyo radio? The flash methods I used to originally flash my radio do not work.
Glad to know I'm not the only one that bricked it like that xD... I don't think you can
downgrade... I am thinking about maybe trying to flash Optus through fastboot, but I'm unsure if that will work... But another option is to use a ROM like Revolution or CM7 which are gingerbread.
Same here bro!!!
Same here bros
I got my IS with foryo 2.2, was working fine. I thought to update to gingerbread but was not aware then i will not be able to downgrade or S-OFF.
I just got Gingerbread OTA update of 83.3MB, just updated and now its working fine but
no S-OFF, no customer recovery, no Custom roms
dieing to Downgrade so that i can do S-OFF for rooting and custom rom installation
ANY BODY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First try the AlphaRevX method to S-Off. From there you should be able to install custom recovery, root, and install custom roms. If you can not S-Off with the AlphaRevX method then install a gingerbread rom on your phone from another region through gold card method then use the AlphaRevX method to S-Off. (Most people been using the Australia Optus Rom)

Yeah that is the method I used. I thought with eng hboot I had the flexability to bounce between radios but for what ever reason once you go to a gingerbread you can't go back to a froyo radio.

Right now there is no official 2.3.5/Sense 3.0 upgrade for the IncS, so currently your only option is to S-OFF (or HTC Unlock depending on your HBOOT version) and install a custom recovery and then flash a custom 2.3.5 ROM.
It has been reported that an official IncS 2.3.5/Sense 3.0 update should be released on Dec 10, 2011, but only time will tell if those reports are true or not.
UPDATE: Football has uploaded the official IncS 2.3.5/Sense 3.0 RUU to the Development section!!!!!!!!
sense 3.0 ruu in football's thread..congrats

i have no experience in the matter, but from what i've learned from reading other posts in the forum over the last few weeks...
if you used revolutionary to s-off, you can't update to the official ruu without reverting back to s-on. there are numerous guides in the forum for that so just do a search.
if you upgrade to the official ruu, however, your bootloader will be upgraded to 2.0 as well (someone reported this after upgrading to the official ruu) and i don't know if you will be able to downgrade. so, if you are looking to upgrade, please know that there's a possibility that you won't be able to s-off your phone (at least until someone figures out a way to downgrade from 2.0 bootloader).
my phone is s-off and rooted.
Recieved the OTA update yesterday and after i installed, on rebooting it wouldnt go past the HTC white screen. Stuck/bricked! i then realized that i couldnt load the clockworkmod recovery anymore, got an error cannot open e:\.....
hustled for hours trying to factory reset and finally had to install fastboot on my computer so that i could load the clockworkmod recovery image directly to my phone. after loading clockworkmod recovery then i could now use my previous backup and got back my phone working.... phew.
Hope this helps someone out there.
