I need to install some stock apks that come with HTC Aria on my NookColor. Any pointers where I can find them? If someone has a rooted Aria and they are willing to attach the stock apk's here, that would be dandy as well.

Download the FR008 ROM from the XDA, all the stock apps are in there. However, they may need Sense.
Maybe i'm not clear here. I was looking for the apk's that come with an unrooted Aria. Sorry for confusion.

Here's the link to the HTC Aria stock not rooted ROM that attn1 compiled. All credit goes to attn1 for posting this.
http://droid.neolobster.com/roms/aria_shipped_signed.zip
You can extract the original apk's directly from the zip without the need to flash the zip.
HTC apps won't work without Sense, it requires the Sense UI framework. That's why, like, on the G2, they don't have the really good Sense apps, like the camera one. So you can't use them.
Thanks guys! I totally ignored the fact that HTC Sense would be a requirement.

Would anybody like to try to make a stock Gingerbread theme for AXURA? It looks like the only gingerbread theme thread is for perception only. I'm disappointed that I haven't seen even discussion of making a ginger theme for AXURA.
So would anybody be up for it?

The gingerbread theme is for any JK3 based rom which i believe is what AXURA is also based off of, just like perception. It should work just fine
Auxura is jk2 and uses jk3 modem

Any updates?
This works with Axura, apply with CWM.

I do caution you backup the folder/file names to follow if you don't want the toggle buttons, custom boot anim and font included:
The folders to backup and restore if need be
/system/media
/system/fonts
/system/framework/twframework-res.apk
Edit: If need be I'll port the theme later today if possible to avoid people having to use the addon pack.

Enjoy! Personally the DJAxeWater is a better suited companion for flashing, just uninstall your Swype and delete /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so .
I tried flashing your 1.1.3. Nothing happened. Flashed over 2.1.
I tried flashing over rc1 and it got stuck in boot.
I'm truly sorry about that, I've corrected the framework and it should work now. Use the same link I provided before.
uhh...?
yea i dont know what your posting but it doesnt work.....doesnt do anything
Having issues with the framework....still trying but it doesnt look good..

Ok ok, will be flashing the new Axura now and test it again. Link dead for now.
Hey, guys, there's a metamorph Gingerbread theme over in the Nexus One forum that works on any HDPI device. Obviously it's not the full framework, but it's good enough to tide you over until you get a full port.
EDIT: Here's the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=863110&highlight=Gingerbread+morph

Don't think that will work. The naming convention in the Vibrant framework-res and twframework-res has changed which just equals to more work, not sure if an of the online kitchens even work with them. Sorry guys, I wish I could help you guys but right now I don't have the time to renaming all the images for this ROM.

Didn't realize it was a vibrant based rom. I can try throwing a framework-res together at some point, if someone wants to upload the stock one.
Can't we have stock android keyboard (2.2 or 2.3) for Sense? (Liberated)
I have tried various apks or zips around forum but every of them failed to run. Will be appreciated if somebody knows how to get it, thanks

well that was annoying...had a whole post typed out and lost power > anyway, the issues appears to be the keyboard apk filename for sense ROMs is not the same. It appears as if someone (look at the gingerbread keyboard theme a few topics down) is trying to get this working on sense ROMs.
I've tried that "Gingerbread keyboard" thread which leads with 'bootloop' my Liberated 008RC2. Thanks for the suggestion though still couldn't find any solution.
Try looking for the droidx multi touch keyboard it pretty much the same but white

I'd start with posting in the correct forum: development instead of themes and apps.
That said, I'm very happy with Froyo 2.2.1 (released dec 13).

XD I'm knew to the whole android thing my bad I tried a few the other day and after installing the rom I was gettin force close Android phone process any idea where I went wrong?
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
Did you wipe everything in recovery mode before installing the rom?
If you're not familiar with rom install steps, follow the steps in the guide posted in the development forum.

Will have a read up on it now thanks mate

I'd start with telling him to post in the real correct section, which we all know is general, or even Q&A
I use FroydVillain 1.7.2, but if you want speed, just flash flykernel 12 on your current ROM and it should be rapid.
I put froyo 2.1.1 on my phone and wiped everything including my nandroid back up is there any way I can get it back? Froyo is amazing may I add lol.. can I create a backup image of this rom instead?

There is a Radio thread in the dev section, where you can flash the newest radio versions. As to what it does.. im not entirely sure myself its supposed to improve phone reception i think.
But make sure you flash the correct type of radio... There is GSM or CMDA. Make sure u know which is the correct one for you!
I have just rooted my htc hero, and want to change my themes.
Where can i download them from and how to use them
Thanks
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
From the HTC hero themes section of the forums, the section you posted in. Most themes will have install instructions in the thread.
Get ninjamorph and metamorph free from the market, they're easy to pick up the hang of and will allow you to take the best bits of themes and make your own.
Hope this helps
Thanks for your reply i have these apps but i apparently need to flash part of the theme on some "guides" do you know what this is about ?
Thanks
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
When you have to flash a theme, you first have make sure this theme is for your phone and Rom.
For example: When you have CyanogenMod 6.1; you can use theme's for CyanogenMod 6.1.
I think you have only rooted your phone. You haven't flash a rom. In that case, you're on stock 2.1 Android, with Sense.

So i took the system dump from the nexus 1 froyo package because there are a few apps i wanted that come stock with the nexus. When i try to install them though, it says problem parsing the package. How do i get them to install?
Sent from my G-Tab using Tapatalk
Try root explorer or adb and place them in the proper directory
/system/app - system apps
/data/app - all others
Ive already done that and it doesnt work. Ive already put a new launcher in the system/app direcrory and done away with touch wiz. I did it through root explorer. But the other apps dont work even after placing them in the directory. Do I also need to place the odex file there too?

Well that would depend if the rom you are using is De-oxed or not. If it is then it wont work no matter where you put them, if it is not then yes. No promises that they will work at all sense you are using HTC based apks on a samsung device. As long as none of them need the htc framework to work you should be good

Im actually not using a rom. Stock froyo on my device. I like the battery life much better. I wanted it to be as pure google as possible. So i removed touchwiz, all the samsung apps and widgets, and all the att apps. Its very snappy and looks very pure google. Only thing is the music player, calculator, calendar, and contacts apps. I wanted stock versions of those.
