Hy
I just bought an wireless microsoft 3000 desktop kit for my computer, and as i know we should be able to use them on our galaxy s devices...i mean the wireless keyboards and mices. But after searching all over the phone i couldn t find anything of hid related, even tought froyo should natively support wireless HID.
Can you tell me how can i do to associate my keyboard and mouse with my galaxy s? Beacuse i already searched the forum and on market for hid drivers and nothing worked.
It is possible that my keyboard to not be recognised by the phone?
Thanks for help and sorry if this has been already debated.

Hello,
some weeks ago I have this discovered this mini-keyboard, which you can link to the PC via bluetooth and use as a keyboard and mouse:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3848&cl=us,en
http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj0MF58-ElA
My first impression when I saw it, it was that this device looks similar to my TyTn 2, especially when the PDA has the keyboard open...
So, this is exactly my question. Exists any kind of software for my PDA that allows to link the keyboard of the TyTn to the PC and, for example, use its touch-screen as a mouse?
Thanks
very interesting i would also be very interested in this as well...
That is a pretty good idea. I got a freee BT keyboard from amazon though.
yea there is, but it uses wifi. I can't remember the name of it now, but I think it was posted already. I will look when I get home.

tried and hit wall
Last week I begun developing/experimenting on such an app, to use the kaiser as a bluetooth HID mouse.
I did manage to get windows to recognize and install it as a HID mouse, but could not establish a connection. The problem is that the M$ bluetooth stack does not seem to allow me to attach to the L2CAP layer and implement my custom profile (the HID profile in this case).
If anyone has more information on how to access the L2CAP, please share .
The kaiser would be a wonderful remote mouse/keyboard for my htpc configuration!

Hey everyone..
I would really love to connect a full usbkeyboard to my Magic 32A..
But then i connect my logitech G15, nothing happens..
I think it because of the need of a HID driver.. But i am not sure..
Does anyone now where i can get a HID driver for android?
//Reffer
lol. No. Just no
LMAO. FAIL.
If I remember correctly, there's a lot of posts about this on the official SDK mailinglist/forum/whatever. If you google it I'm sure you'll find something.
And shoo to the last two posters!
Hey mockillo. Thx for posting a answer i actually could use to something..
The only post i could find on SDK was this one: http://groups.google.com/group/andr...hl=en&lnk=gst&q=usb+keyboard#7397813348f7a9fa
And they say that android not support BLuetooth HID.. But nothing about normal.. I think i will try to make a topic in there too..
That's not how USB works. If you want a full keyboard you'll have to get a bluetooth keyboard & wait for the bluetooth SDK to be released (maybe rooted users can use bluetooth keyboards already?)
USB host
does anyone know if Magic hardware supports USB host? If so, it would be possible with 2.1
Just check this out: _ttp://jkontherun.com/2010/02/17/how-to-add-a-usb-keyboard-to-an-android-phone/
appearently MAKE magazine did an article about it. I say it just might work. but you may want to talk to some devs to see how to get into usb OTG mode with a mytouch.
anyone tried this?
on my last check no dev is building with USB HOST built into there roms ( things can connect to phone) unlike the normal usb slave (your phone can connect to things ) , plus if you were to use your phone as a host it would need to power the connected device (ie. Keyboard)
some good news ...
Most roms built off of CM source have a bluetooth HID stack... So like me i use a bluetooth keyboard (logitech media board for ps3) and it works great. And drains the battery no more than a bluetooth head set.

same goes to me
haha. A funny guy... lol.....
You should find driver for that keyboard... I think...
Try v.mote this is exactly what you want... just the opposite (the phone become a keyboard..)
Hi There!
I have a problem and the problem is that i have a mini keyboard which I think is called freedom bk-600 and I have a Samsung Galaxy tab as my mobile phone.
My big problem is that I want to get connected my Samsung Galaxy tab with this keyboard but it is totally impossible to connect them.
Have searched everywhere on the internet but there are many questions and little answers out there so it seems that there are many who have the same problem.
So now I'm just wondering if there is any possibility that you guys could help me me with my big problem.
It seems like I'm missing a driver because I have paired these two devices but I can not write with the keyboard.
if there is no possibility to help me, I gone threw the keyboard because I have no use for it any more when it can not be used with android
best regards
Genaro
You've paired it, have you selected to use that keyboard in the settings?
yes and that's what I do not understand because I know I'm doing everything right but it's like the keyboard does not speak with galaxy tab.
Now I found a page online that says that this keyboard spoke a language called ssp and not hid.
I tried out 2 driver software for my cell phone with no luck, one called Blue Keyboard JP and the other called keypro speaking (HID language).
I just do not know what to do with this problem anymore ...
did u tried to connect the keyboard with another phone ?
when Sprint brings the new Gingerbread update? I have seen where a bluetooth mouse works on some devices that have HID. I tried one a couple weeks ago and it didn't.
Then I have seen a USB adapter that says you can hook up an external mouse thorugh it.
I didn't know if the upgrade would make these devices work.
Bluetooth HID should mean that you can pair a Bluetooth mouse, and a ps3 controller
someone should work on that
Found it....sweet... did not want to be one of those guys that gives up and just makes a new thread..... so updated my tab today......features were..... HID Bluetooth and gingerbread.....which turned out pretty good tab does not lag as much scrolling through home screens and app drawer.... here's the million dollar question....any of you out there bought that Brando Keyboard Case and still have it??.... is it good to go? Can I buy one now and an icontrolpad? That would be freakin epic.....

More bluetooth woes from another Sprint Galaxy Tab user
Anyone been able to pair and connect their bluetooth keyboard since the Sprint update to Gingerbread?
I've been touch n go with one OEC model (no name brand). Bought a Motorola Wireless Keyboard last night and while the Tablet would recognize it, it wouldn't allow me the time to type in the passkey. It would go straight to error.
Here are my Sprint Tablet (7) specs:
Model:SPH-P100
Firmware version 2.3.4
Kernel: 2.6.35.7
Build: GINGERBREAD.EF17
On a seperate note, I was able to pair it with my HTC Evo, but not connect.
I'm beginning to suspect that Sprint didn't include the HID as I had read or I'm just an noobie idiot...appreciate the assistance either way.
Hi,
Thanks to SamyGo, Samsung SmartTV's can now be rooted and the box is now wide open for hacker community to better the platform. One such functionality still missing is the ability to use wireless audio streaming via built-in Bluetooth hardware which intentionally only allow streaming to Samsung Soundshare speakers, as posted at the SamyGo forum by me Samsung uses open-source BusyBox and "BCRM Bluetooth Linux Driver" (see GPL licenses from contact screen by pressing the red key) and I am sure someone from the hacking community guide us to what we need to get this sorted out.
Since, it's the same Broadcom chipset used by many other Samsung phones and we are talking about drivers for BusyBox I hope ROM makers should be able to guide us in the right direction.
Thanks
