I use launcher pro and can not figure out number columns and rows for Widgets to looks correct on screen (aspect ratio-wise).
Any pointers or maybe different launcher?
I also use launcher pro and was having the same issues. This is what worked for me and you might not agree with me.
Ok first I realized that I did not what to use my tablet in portrait view, Why? because I feel like is too long and there would be a lot of space between apps. Now if you disagree with me you might want to stop rearing now. Once I decided I was going to use the tab on landscape mode only I waited till it was in portrait mode, then went to Launcher pro preferences->behavior settings-> and unchecked auto rotation. This will keep the home screen in landscape mode. Then I tried several combinations of columns and rows, my favorite is 8 columns by 6 rows. You can set this by going to Launcher pro preferences-> homescreen settings-> and set the number of rows/columns. this only changes your homescreen, all apps still rotate and work as normal. I will post my homescreen once i figure out how to take a screenshot, drocap2 is not working for some reason.
Let me know what you think.
try 7x7 in launcherpro
On the latest JB rom, the lockscreen has the option to display the weather. However its in metric. Is there an option somewhere to change it to english units? I've gone through every menu I can find and found nothing.

if that is what you need

Thanks. Man I feel dumb now. I swear I was in that menu like 10 times pressing on stuff.
So, I finally updated to Nugat last night, and now Android Auto 2.0 has a few annoying 'features' I needed to fix. I figured them out, so I'll share here.
I could no longer get to my main home screen. This used to be really handy, as I could plug in my phone, get everything setup, tap recent apps and then home to get to my regular home screen. I need to be able to do this to arm my home alarm and to launch Waze.
SOLUTION 1 - 1 Tap Quick Bar
There are a lot of apps like this, and I tried this one first, did exactly what I wanted it to, but it left too much going on in my notification pane. Basically this creates an additional notification bar that you can add settings or applications to. I added Action Launcher 3, Waze, my home alarm app, and two others to it, worked fine.
If there were a way to have a notification bar like this be active only when Car Mode was enabled, it would be my preferred method.
SOLUTION 2 - Custom Quick Settings - (PREFERRED)
This works perfectly, takes up almost no space (one quick settings tile), and looks like it is built in.
I installed this, added a quick settings tile to go directly to my Action Launcher 3 home screen (my wife set it up to go to Nova Launcher), and now I just pull down on the right side of my Nexus 6P screen, tap on the Quick Setting Tile that says Home, and bam, back at the home screen. Tap on the Home button in the Android Auto overlay and I'm back in Android Auto (I just leave it in Waze).
Hope this helps others.
Finally i upgraded my note 9 to pie. Battery life is certainly better. But I have 2 issues:
I have set a custom screen dpi in developer options to 455 dpi. In oreo it was perfect but in pie somewhere the text is too small like names below the icons, widgets and somewhere the text is too big like clock text in the status bar and text in device care app. Also the icons are way too big in proportion to the text below. Am I missing some setting?
I had set swipe down gesture to open the notification panel under homescreen settings in Samsung launcher. It was working perfect in oreo but in pie it sometimes work 1 in 3 tries and sometimes even 1 in 5 tries, i.e., i swipe down on the screen and nothing happens. Whereas swipe up to open the app drawer works perfect without any issues. Strangely if I disable the notification panel gesture, the default action for swipe up or down becomes opening app drawer and it works just fine without any problem. Anyone else noticed this strange behavior?
If not already, wipe the partition cache as that usually helps with most issues after update.

For the first question: Why not use the scaling, font size, zooming options from the settings menu?
For the second one: no, for me it works perfectly fine.

I've got the same problem you mentioned in #2. It's pretty annoying! It's like it's become less sensitive, or the activation area is now higher and in the middle, or your swipe needs to be longer.
Not sure for the first question, but Nova Launcher from the play store (as do many other good launchers) have multiple gestures. Nova Launcher has the gesture that you pull down on the home screen to open notifications and also has swipe up to open app draw as well as many other gestures. I use Nova Launcher with those gestures and it works very well.
I have the same problem swiping down it's so annoying
And strangely flicking up for apps works so easy but more pressure is needed for downwards? Must be a software issue

About swipe down, do you have any widget on your homescreen? If you swipe down on a widget, it gets the swipe gesture instead of the homescreen itself so the notification panel doesn't shows up.

No widgets. I also enabled to view screen touches in developer options. And I can see its registering my swipes everytime but the notifications panel doesn't open everytime.

In some if my apps a settings option of 3 dots would appear in the nav bar. Since installing Android 10 those options don't appear so I can't change app settings nor back up data in those apps. I use Nova but that doesn't affect nav bar.. Any idea how to get settings dots back?
Please help if you can!
Not sure without a screenshot what exactly you mean but it might be an issue with the apps not upgraded to 10.
Another idea, have you try a clean install of those apps if you didn't already.
Is it possible the settings have moved since android10?
It is legacy apps that haven't been updated and never will be
I can't take a screenshot of where the menu used to be since it isn't there now. These apps originally used the Android menu key. Then went to 3 dots in nav bar in the right side. There is an app that creates a floating menu key by fooling Android 10 that it is a keyboard.
A real keyboard with a menu key or a menu key in Nova would be the best solution.
