Theme for dialer

Ok I got kaosfroyo v35-1 and would like to theme my dialer if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.

I was having trouble installing any theme on a 6.1 rom. Bootloop city.

You could try dialer one in the market, there's a few options to change the colors and it has t9

You need to theme the contacts.apk, that's where the dialers png's live. I have a flashable theme (blue) that worked on kaosfroyo v34. Haven't tested on the current versions, thought I'd try a different rom or two. Anyway I can send it to you so you can see what's involved if you want.

Aha! That was confusing the crap out of me.....I applied a MM theme and it FC'd as soon as it would hit the phone.apk, but when I'd reboot the phone would be themed.....contacts.apk, never would have thought about that one.

That is exactly why I made it flashable vs MM, due to them darn annoying FC's when MM was flashing the phone and contacts apk...

Here is the flash-able theme I created. BlkandBlueStorm
I got most of the blue from nonsensikal and other pieces here and there, don't recall right now where. (if you are the owner/creator of any piece let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.)
Just flash like a normal ROM or open it up and see how it was built. If you take it apart and add your own tweaks, you'll need to resign the package so that you can flash it just like any ROM.

sorry, mate, I was reading that some folks were having issues with flashing themes to kaosfroyo 35-1 and thats when I decided it was time to try out another froyo rom.
Funny thing is that the theme works great on kaos 34 and nonsensikal v 7.5, however when flashing to nonsensikal 8.2 my wifi status symbol disappears. I have looked and all the files match between my theme and the roms files. Puzzling and will be working on it. If I get it working correctly, I'll let you know.

Here is my problem. Im running SuperClean DJ05 w/ StupidFast and have tried to change my boot animation... but it never works. Is there something special I have to do?

Have you tried changing thru rom manager? I have tried them all, they all worked perfectly. O just dont like them... Except for knock knock. That is my childrens favorite joke.

Don't think all stupidfast kernels supported custom boot animations. What version are you using? I know 1.54 does.

1.54, in fact, does NOT. If the boot animation has sound, it'll play that, but that's about it. Anything after 1.54 does, but it's kind of unstable.

How are your trying to change it? through flashing a zip or placing it in the data/local with root explorer?

How are you trying to change it? With flashing a zip? or moving the bootanimation.zip into the data/local file with root explorer? I have had no issues with switching out bootanimations.

I was just changing it when picking out my ROM options thru blackhole. Is there something else I'm not doing? I want the haters gon hate one

Which stupidfast? Kernels can stop custom boot animations from holding. I've flashed all of the boot animations available in Rom Manager(running 1.54 btw...). It's as easy as you think it is. If it's not working for you, then RM and the way you're doing it probably isn't the issue.

Idk how to check? I installed it about 2 weeks ago, its the stable one for DJ05

How do I get this to work. I tried to flash with rom manager and it didn't work.
Edit. Got it working. Had to use root explorer and move it to data/local. Works like a charm and one of the guys i work with who love his iPhone, got to watch it boot for the first time
so fresh and so superclean.

open root explorer, file the bootanimation.zip you downloaded, then copy and paste it into data/local
Edit:i pasted mine in system/media not data/local and it works for me

[MOD] KA5 Power Menu [1.14.2011] [CWM Flashable]

Here it is! The Power Menu Mod for stock deodexed KA5. I incorporated this into Untermensch's lockscreen mod the same as before. It also has the "Stay awake" option in Settings>Applications>Development.
Just one flavor to choose from at the moment. I imagine there will be a small demand for the black & white icons so I can do that one tomorrow. If there is a demand for the Berserk icons post in this thread that you would like it so I know.
Please be aware this is based off stock KA5 and flashing on a custom rom will get rid of all of your theming.

This should work with the latest Nero V5, but please be aware that this is based off the stock frameworks so you will lose the gingerbread theme.

thanks for the heads up on that cause i already started modding my frameworks! that would have been shocking but i can always push my modded ones back again right? or just throw my images in this one? I shall find out!

I have noticed that you seem to be sliding into mod development mode recently.
How about a kitchen for your mods so that those of us who are already using a mod'd framework-res.apk could upload our current version (and whatever other files that the kitchen might need from our particular, mostly stock builds) and have the kitchen incorporate one or more of your mods into our currently-mod'd framework?
It's the wave of the future...
Or maybe a project for Untermensch in his spare time?

Just replacing the images should work no problem. I did not change any resource ids either; only added new ones. So yea, you should be golden.

I feel that was a compliment. Thank you! I am definitely loving doing all of this but still have mountains of learning yet to do. I definitely have some stuff in mind that I'd like to work on that I feel ppl would enjoy. All in due time.

Are you doing a lock screen mod for this one or no? I've been holding out on flashing the whole rom, holding onto jl4 with the new ka5 modem and voodoo just to keep the android lock screen

Hello! Actually Untermensch has already made the lockscreen mod for KA5 here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912559
I took that mod and added the power menu you it. So if you flash the file from this thread you will receive both the powermenu mod AND the lockscreen mod. Be sure to thank Untermensch for the lockscreens as I did not port them he did.

Excellent, looks like I'll be switching over, will have to log in to thank you later. Is anyone seeing the sensor drain issue after using the gallery on ka5? On jl4 I used a different gallery to avoid it

This is something I will definitely look into. I have never played around with modding odexed files but feel I need to.

I only ask cuz I noticed the lockscreen mod works on both odexed and deodex screens

fyi, nero v5 has this already. no need to flash this unless you're using stock KA5, like the OP said.

No, but the one I made for KA7 will.
However, just an FYI you will lose all of the Bionix theming that is in place. This is modded off the stock frameworks.

[Theme] WIP CM7 NexTheme

Ok here is one of my all time favorite themes, NexTheme!
This is for CM7 posted at 6/1/11 - 10:40PM in the CM7 thread.
Currently it's only the Framework, SystemUI and Settings. (which themes most of the phone)
I will be going through and theming the apps later this week (crazy busy at work this week but I'm trying to have the apps done by the weekend). If anyone here has seen my work on the OG Droid you will know I'm very detailed and have added quite a bit that the original theme did not have so stayed tuned.
If you find anything missing please let me know so I can update it, (not the apps of course at this point). Oh yeah I threw some old school animations in it as well.
As always please make a backup just in case.
This is a .zip file and installs like any other .zip, just don't wipe when flashing.
Let me know what you think so far, good, bad or indifferent.

The way I "theme" is basically just the entire rom and the theme chooser to make it more complete. Seems like the theme chooser won't theme everything.

Just wanted to clarify, since you flash the uot kitchen zips like any other zip yet it adds the theme to the theme chooser...

Any chance of an update on this?

Alright here it is. Pull whatever you want from it. Everything is here apps framework exct. You could take this drop it on your phone and flash it if you want.
The standard drop on SD card flash via Rom Manager.
But i would love for someone to just take the framework for system and apps and put it on a Tmobile theme engine.
