HTC You mp3 - Android Themes

For those that flash your HTC Andriod ROM from stock to another chef creation, something I had missed on my HTC Desire Z stock ROM, that I finally found which is the HTC YOU TV commercial theme.
If you want the real song, $0.99 from Amazon and search this
Sinnerman (Felix Da Housecats Heavenly House Mix
The YOU mp3 is attached in a much shorter ringtone.
I changed the mp3 extension to .mp3.zip, so I could upload this file type.
After you download, remove the .zip characters to HTC YOU.mp3
Enjoy.

Looking for the Original HTC Diamond MP3 Trimmer

Hi,
I am the one of the very few who found the MP3 Trimmer in the Diamond very useful. I have been flashing cook ROMS and some cooks actually remove this app from the releases. Can anyone point me to the right direction where I can download the installer for this app ?
All I can find is this version in the first screenshot (image on the left) but I am looking for the version as in the second screenshot (image on the right).
Thanks.

Yes, this is what I am looking for but it is weird. I installed this and open it and it's so small. I think this one is for QVGA devices. Please look at the screen shot attached. Does anyone has the original VGA version of the MP3 Trimmer ?
No one have this app ?
it is in this thread

Can't find it in that thread.. It is also a QVGA..
I think if you install this version of audiomanager (Follow included instructions and install to the storage card) it includes the old HTC trimmer re-sized to VGA.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407145&highlight=audiomanager
But could be wrong.
You access it via Audiomanager and selecting any song and then "Set as Ring-tone". At the bottom left is the option to trim it.
I found this on my computer, can't remeber where I found it...
Haven't tested it, but I hope it's the real thing...

HTC MP3 Trimmer VGA - PROPER
Please find attached the 'proper' VGA version of the stock Diamond MP3 Trimmer application.
This version contains the original VGA graphics as supplied within the stock Diamond HTC roms. The images have not been modified or up-scaled from the QVGA version. The visuals are as per the second screenshot of the first post (image on right).

MP3 Trimmer problems
I'm trying to use this on my HTC Touch Pro. I'm able to trim a song, put it in the "my ringtones" folder, it plays great when I test it, but when I call the phone....no sounds. In fact, I have my phone on 'vibrate, then ring" and it does not vibrate either, no vibration, no ring.
Anyone help?
does not work on htc tp2 winmo6.5
tried every download on my touch pro2 with dutch winmo 6.5, but non of them works. does anyone know how come?
Anyone???
Guys, if anyone actualy gets this program to work, could you check out my thread and explain to me what i have done wrong? I can not get the stock program to actualy trim any mp3's. Here is the link
Click here to help me please
Diamond MP3 Trimmer is working fine on my Fuze. Following the same steps as you describe in your thread; Play song, tap Start Point (for start of ringtone), tap End Point (for end of ring tone). Tap Menu/Save As to give the file a unique name. With Save As, the ringtone is saved in the same folder as the original music file. You can move it to your preferred ringtone folder (I usually keep a backup copy on my Storage Card).
Are start point and end point desplaying the the time span for your ringtone? How long is your ringtone (just curious-don't think it matters)? Are you giving the file a different name? The trimmer prefixes all files with RT- by default.

Manilla 2D Music Tab Default

Hi everyone,
Having trouble trying to change the default music player from Manilla 2D from audio manager to windows media. Currently using Hyperdragon III rom. tried searching the hyper dragon site, general rom development, google, etc and cant seem to find it.
Im sure its a really simple config item somewhere in the registry?
tried Manila 2D Customizer...still no luck
i second his problem, i want to do the same
And question here is. What is that change supposed to accomplish?
You might be able to change the player by editing the xml file. But with Audio Manager, you get the One touch play; once you change it you will be running Media player in the back ground
Moved the thread to the general section.
Thanks for understanding.
Tater
Try changing the default player to WM using Adv Config!
...A reason to change
I also want to do similar....however, I love the new Audio Mananger cab from HTC. BUT!!! I am peed off at having no direct access to volume control and that is spoiling the experience for me.
I dont want to change to WMP, but may have to if it turns out that it offers the much needed direct onscreen or HW access to volume control.
Incidently, to the point made about trying AdvConfig....It works NOT!. I tried several times to force the change over but to no avail. The way i have left my setup, is simply to install a previous version of Audio Manager (which doesnt offer the album cover facility) and place a shortcut to it on the Manila Programs tab. I found that using a diifernt version via the Audio tab screwed the screen up,
Regards
nick
I believe that all you have to do is find the link for the HTC audio player in the /windows folder of your phone, copy the WMP link and rename it to the htc Audio player link, and overwrite. This is how I changed my web browser from opera to pie.
Let me know if this helps
bump. still havent found a resolution yet

Need YouTube player CAB the one in NATF v3.2.5 HTC Manilla Loaded

Hey,
Previously I had HTC Tilt, on it long back I intalled HTC_NATF_v3.2.5_HTC_Manilla_Loaded (New Ver 5). It has very nice You Tube player, i just love it. Recently i lost that mobile.
Now I took one more windows mobile, but in it I like to load just Youtube player only. I search net and downloaded few, but none are good/equivalant to it. It was excellent.
Can anyone please let me know where can i find the CAB or EXE of it.
Thanks

Possible to port HTC Music.apk to Android 2.1?

is it possible to port the HTC Music player from Sense 2.1 to a vanilla Android 2.1 such as Cannon, Open Eclair, etc?
i'm guessing changes need to be made to the build.trout and sapphire.prop files...
I'd say it is possible. Whatever works on 1.6 will also work on newer versions of Android (i guess)
But the HTC music widget is checking the build.prop and so on. Maybe that could somehow be disabled?
You can also just take an htc sense 2.1 dump
Maybe the framework from semse can be taken like it was possible in 1.5 roms?
that's what i was thinking as well. can't really do anything at the moment since i'm at work.
It's gonna be the same as the 1.5 version, framework problems and things that need to be ported, not a direct drop and edit a few text files.
bump thread
I would love to have htc music app on a 2.1 rom
It's a lot of changing in the framework and then a simple push of the Music.apk file. Unfortunately changing framework from source is complex and not for beginners.
We might have better luck using the music.apk from the MT3G LE since it's very similiar (if not identical) and it already works on 1.6. Haven't tried it though.
That's the thing, you can't do it like that because of the closed source HTC framework.

From the LE yes, but from Hero, no. It's been done for a few Cyanogen ROM versions... but it's old (I think back in early 4.0 days).
I have my HTC Magic and before I upgraded I could add songs to the now playing list before the current song finished playing. So I could make a song/album play after the current one was done. After I did the upgrade to the latest ROM I cannot add songs to the play queue and that sucks.
I have tried Mixzing and I can add to now playing, but it adds them at the end and I can't move them.
Like if I have 10 songs in my list and am on #5 when I add a song it becomes #11, sometimes I want it to be #6 (Play right after the current song). I cannot change the order of the play list. On the new ROM's default player I can but there's no point if I can't even add songs to it. All I can do it take an album and add it to Now Playing, if I want to hear a song from a different album then I have to clear the list and change it to that album...
Does anyone have a copy of the old HTC Music that lets you add songs to now playing, and if not does anyone know a Music app that lets you add songs to now playing and change the order of the play queue. I cannot beleive there aren't any apps to do this, I searched the market and google for Music players and not one does this...

Different album art for same mp3

Hello,
I'm not too sure if my problem is a unique one. I have searched the forums and most threads, if not all, that I managed to find dealt with trying to get album art to display on their HTC Diamonds. If you find that my problem has indeed been answered previously, I would very much appreciate a link to a thread where I may find my answer, thank you.
My problem here is slightly different: for a single mp3 file, the TF3D player displays a different cover from anywhere else (Windows Explorer, WMP, Winamp, mp3tag). Allow me to give some background info on this:
I have embedded my mp3s with their respective album arts. Every song displayed properly with its album art in the TF3D player previously, since the first day I bought my phone back in July 2009. However, recently (about a couple weeks ago) when I uploaded a Korean song, the entire library of album art has been wiped out in the TF3D player and all songs now display that album art of this Korean song.
Here is what I have done to troubleshoot:
1) I copied out all my mp3's to my laptop. In Windows Explorer, the original cover art is displayed. I opened the files with mp3tag in hope of retagging them, but I found the original cover art there too. I played the files in Winamp, and the cover art is correct as well.
2) I opened the files using File Explorer on my Diamond. It launched in WMP and the cover art was displayed properly there as well.
3) I deleted all the files on my Diamond and recopied just one single file (say, a Beyonce song) into the Diamond. It still displays with the Korean cover art.
4) I tried the solution of deleting the HTC folder under Application Data, while maintaining the Beyonce song as the only song in my phone. Cover art goes blank for a while while it loads... then back to Korean cover art.
5) I have flashed my ROM, did a clean format with MTTY. Still Korean cover art. If it helps, I am running the Gen.Y D2 R5.4 ROM which has HTC Sense 2.1.
From 1) and 2), it seems that the original cover art has not really been replaced by the Korean one, since the real one can still be displayed via other means.
And since cover arts have been displaying properly for the past half a year that I've been using my phone, I would say it should be safe to eliminate the possibility that I am embedding my tags wrongly.
So would anyone have any idea why this is happening, please?
Thank you for your time in reading my lengthy post!
Check your global file associations on your device for all mp3 or audio files using something like Schaps Advanced Config that will show those. It sounds like this cover art has been set as the default somehow.
I'm sorry -- what am I supposed to check using that? For my Diamond, the mp3 files have WMP as their default player.
By the way, if it helps, I am using the Gen.Y D2 R5.4 ROM which has HTC Sense 2.1.

If you run Adv. Config. click on the right softkey and select file associations and make sure your mp3s are associated with wmp or the player of your choice. See if there might be anything there that might give any insight as to why you are having this issue.
It could be a bug with the rom you are using. You could flash your stock rom at least twice then flash back to the custom rom of your choice.
The .mp3 extension is associated with WMP. I'm not too sure if file associations would cause this issue because I am opening the mp3's with the TF3D player... by doing so, I am already opening it from a specific player... it would not matter which program opens it "by default", would it?
Is formatting with MTTY equivalent to flashing the stock ROM? Because I've been flashing my ROM quite a few times over the past week and I don't want to flash anymore. =) But this problem came in before I started using the current ROM (I loaded the Korean song, messed up the stuff, and then flashed my ROM)...
Anyway, my deepest appreciation for your help so far mr.horndoctor! Thank you!

Yeah, I think you're right about the file associations. Sorry. Hmm...I honestly don't know about the mtty format since I am cdma but you've definitely got something embedded in your manila files causing this. That's why I was thinking flashing the shipped rom should overwrite everything. Then if you have all traces of that cover art gone from your music before you reinstall it to your device, it shouldn't resurface. I'm glad I'm not in your shoes! Good Luck Friend!!
