Hey guys,
I came from the samsung fascinate (where i did some mods). I'm trying to get the power control mod notification menu for the droid x working. I could use some help, i messaged JsChiSurf to get some more info; but if anyone is already working on this here, and would like to collaborate please send me a message.

i had the captivate and i miss those things too but i found a program called power control plus. It does the same thing but once you set the toggles your cant delete them unless u uninstall the whole program and reinstall

The true power menu like what comes on the Galaxy phones is MUCH more elegant than that.
I came from a Captivate and I miss it bad. I still pull the notification bar down out of habit to toggle different things.
I will be watching this.
Quick Settings is pretty good too and its free. Maybe not as nice as the one on GS phones.

I have tried three times now to implement this, came very close last time and even plan on working in it this week sometime.

I use an app called "Extended Controls"... it is very similar, but after trying both I found it to be a bit better (more features overall, but color selection on indicators is limited)
Extended Controls /=/ Notification Power Control
I use Extended Controls as well but it is *not* the same thing as what is being requested in this thread. A mod like this already exists on the EVO and DInc...and it is quite handy (plus it frees up some space on your screen.
Hope this gets worked out for the X b/c I'm sure waiting for it...patiently/impatiently

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe the reason why Cyanogen isn't on the DX is because of the inability to load custom kernels onto the DX.
ohh I didn't know anything about that but it would make sense.. that's kind of a bummer.. it'd be nice to see the lockscreen with the messaging and phone slide tab as well

But i have a problem with lockbot, the standard lock shows up after the lockbot lock!! So i have uninstalled it.
But, can you help me with this problem? I have done the things in lockbot settings. But it dont seem to work.

What device are you using? I hear that HTC's Sense interface interferes with LockBot Pro. I use a Galaxy S myself, and it works great...
Also, the new version has some fixes. Maybe you had an older version?
Be sure to check the app's settings. Maybe you need to change something for it to work on your device.
Another thing you can try is to download the (free) 'NoLock' app from the Android Market to disable your standard lockscreen. Maybe it'll work if you do that first.

Another cool concept would be to create a background for use in the lockscreen only and then have something 'hidden' under the slider, which will only appear when you move it down... First thing I thought about was an 'inside look' into your device, but that's kinda... well, cheesy. Any ideas?

Let us know if it works. Reading Lockbot reviews and it is not looking good at all, not working right on a lot of phones.
Nice themes, just not a great app from the reviews.

Updated the OP with new images and download-links (including instructions on how to set them up in LockBot Pro)!
i had this keyboard on 2.1 but kinda forgot about when i went to 2.2. its a nice keyboard and im sure some of you already have it but for those who dont, im attaching the 2 apk's for this. one is the keyboard and one is the calibrator. you can push these to data/app or just copy to sd card and install with root explorer, astro, etc. install the keyboard first, then the calibrator tool.

this is great! at first i thought i installed it by using android sideload wonder machine (i know idiot me lol) and no go so i just did what the directions were and just copied to sd and installed via astro and it worked! but yea weird how it doesnt work on aosp keyboard...

I was doing some more forum lurking, trying to figure out what makes this keyboard vibrate on keypress unlike it's AOSP counterpart, and I came across this: http://www.gimpsta.com/themer/
Let's you custom theme your HTC_IME keyboard anyway you want. I just cloned the Cyanogen mod keyboard cause it was all black with a fairly dark lettering color so it doesn't light up my face at night causing temporary blindness. I had to make a custom space bar image cause I didn't want the one used in the preset one. I attached the .apk to this post.

Does multitouch work? The HTC_IME I'm using on Froyo has bad multitouch so letters are often left behind, even if multitouch works it sucks. Is this any better?
I don't know if its just a case of the grass being greener oan the other side but I don't understand the desire to add this key board. I find the samsung keyboard to be supoirior to this. With a few quirks. And the droid x to be slightly better but over rated. I find it easiest to type on the Samsung multi touch. But the lack of caps lock is annoying. Maybe that will be fixed in the official froyo. I use swype when I hold the phone with one hand but typing with both hands I need a proper multi touch.

I am trying to use Astro File Manager to open HTC_IME_hi22.apk and it says "Could not open /sdcard/HTC_IME_hi22.apk as APK file.
I am rooted, and used rafter109's OCD De-Cripple function to enable sideloading.
Any help would be appreciated.

More of a preference. I got used to the HTC keyboard and it's quirks and how it works, and I like it. The Samsung keyboard is good, and the Android one is downright annoying at times, but this one I LOVE.

This will be my final rom for the incredible. i will however update this as needed. what this rom consists of is an incredible 2 and sensation mixed rom. it was an idea i had awhile back because i really thought the inc2 shoulda been sense 3.0..... the frameworks for these roms are very very similar and they work together nicely.

+1, I just wish it had the same download tracking capabilities as multiupload (by country, and downloads-per-day)
But overall, hasn't failed me yet.
I know Im stating the obvious, but the link for the dl is not up yet. Do you need some daily runners for this or is it ready to go now? Would love to get the dl link and test if needed. LOVE the concept of these 2 combined!
One MOD suggestions...do away with the location icon in the notification bar on top and have a REALLY REALLY REALLY good email app. I use email heavily for work. It has and will continue to determine whether I use that ROM or not. I know its minor, but each is there own when it comes to flashing ROMs...but I am REALLY looking forward to this concept!!!

You need to edit the build.prop located in the system folder. Recommend using winrar
/system/build.prop
Once there, you will open the file and edit it using a word processing program of you choice. Notepad is fine.
Use search/find button till you locate something that says this Default network type. # 4 => CDMA
From there change the 4 to a 3.
Then next to it you will see this ro.telephony.default_network=4, change it to 3.
This should work, if it doesn't please tell me so I can try and help!

its ok stays in landscape mode though unless u click the bamf settings it only goes into regular in the settings when u back out back into landscape mode i didnt like it so i took it of also , the begning boot animation didnt fit the screen the words , dats all i notice so far im back on gummy

If you need help with any of the rotation issues Dalingrin/Fattire might be able to help you out with that one. I know that the port for the Nook Color had funky rotation issues but that has long since been fixed.

Okay well I contacted one them awhile ago, never got a response. Sorry guys, but I don't see me being able to fix this rotation issue....
Which ics version is the base for your port? If you're using older d3 ics code/version of hashcodes there was a problem with auto-rotation exactly like what i experience with this and miui4d3. I would request, if it isnt too much trouble and the old sys base is the case that you update the base to at least hashcodes current build and re-push the beta. Hopefully you'll get reports back that orientation/rotation are correct, you could send me a pm link if you need a test device before pushing to the masses.

to be honest hardly anything, all menus english, calendar still chinese characters, a app is chinese thats about it, wont interfere with daily use
How about a mirror? Not signing up for yet another site I wont use often and getting spanned.

If its based off CM7 then why doesn't finger unlock work?

Installed the ROM, there is MUCH to WORK, but it is in right way.

This Rom, like MiUi, is much nicer with a differenr launcher.
Im using the Xperia launcher and everything is smooth, fast, and has been good so far.
At first I couldn't get the home capacitive button to work. It wouldn't do anything. Had to add a "soft key" through Cyanogenmod settings. Then I flashed Faux 1.45 kernel, and magically the use of the home button came back!
Ive had the phone reboot on me while browsing the web, and then I had it just completely shut off, couldn't turn it back on until I pulled the battery.
Not sure it its kernel related, but im gonna keep it on for a day or 2 and see whats what.
I'm coming aboard tonight! Been on MIUI for a while now but looking forward to fully working ROM!

You sure you followed everything correctly or are you looking in the right spot for your pictures. Use media rescan from the market if your not sure
