I have read all thread about this topic, the fact is, G-Sensor is not saving calibration data, and i need that to use the autorotation or gremote mouse features.
Bubbles successfuly calibrates, but seems like the GSensor tool is unable to save the calibration changes, and 1 sec after calibrator, settings are wrong again, always wrong at the same values... lets say -40 on L to R
Is there any fix for this?
Thanks!!!

u need to install advanced confog tool from Schaps, there is an option to disable device sleep while on call.
CSD connection
The screen also turns itself off when I use a CSD connection for internet access on my device. I assume it's because the phone thinks I'm making a regular phone call, so it turns the display off.
I found that if I load up tomtom in the background, the screen stays on, but after a while, the screen starts to turn itself off for about a second every few seconds, so it has only worked as a temporary solution.
I will give the advanced config tool a try. ty
IDK know about advanced config, but kaiser tweak is a nifty little program to change a lot of settings
Advanced config is just about the same as KaiserTweak.
I think kaiser tweak has a few more options now. I had advanced config on a couple of roms i flashed and i think kaiser tweak is a little more encompassing as far and the number of features you can tweak.

u should know that Nikagl made some "upgrade" to advanced config tool so it has almost the same tweaks as kaiser tweak.

I prefer having the screen on regardless where I am. All boxes are unchecked>oower, backlight, etc.
but the damn thing goes off after a few seconds when I make a phone call and the keypad can't be seen to press a number when prompted to do so. When I want the screen off, I use psshutXP (light off)
How can I get the advanced configuration tool?!
Thx!!
Get it HERE

I found a registry tweak that resolved this issue. It works!!!!
HKLM/Drivers/Built-In/RIL>Enable Fast Dormant Display During Call....Change value from 1 to 0. Soft reset. The display will stay on during a call!
Now I have another issue that a search didn't help. When I'm on the internet and using the stylus to scroll down the page, the scrolling slows down to nearly a stop just a very short ways down the page!!
Can someone pls help me with this?
Thx!

How do I disable screen rotation on my Touch Diamond, specifically when using Opera?
I've tried Gyrator 2 but to no avail.
Solution:
Not elegant but...
Change registry HKLM\Software\Opera\GSensor\IdleTime to a very large number like 1000000.
not 100% sure but try deleting the gsensor.lnk file in windows\startup folder
I saw in one of the threads that even the phone dialer screen rotates. This doesn't occur in my phone. Does this happen in your phones??

Not as standard - only Opera (and one other that I have forgot about) rotates. However if, like me, you use GSen then other apps (you can choose which) will rotate. My dialer screen rotates as does my TT6 for example.
Thanks!!
I read reviews on Gsen & Gyrator still having some teething problems in this same forum. I don't mind to wait further before things like these gets ironed out.
If you are aware of something that is error free so far, appreciate a lead.
Ive been looking for a solution for my IGO

But couldnt find one.
I see you managed to auto-rotate your tomtom.
is that possible with the iGo8?
I've tried adding that line in the gsen config but it still doesnt work.
I have had no problem with Gsen and it works fine for me. I can't answer if it works with Igo because I don't use it, but it works with TTN6. Having said that if I turn a corner sharply at the same time as hitting a bump it goes back to portrait for a few seconds.

just a guess, but are you browsing Opera / Photo Album whilst lying down in bed, perchance?
i'm having the same issue, it's really annoying, no idea why they couldn't have a settings menu to toggle auto / manual.

Yes. But sometimes it also happens if I am carrying it and accidently tilt it.
Solved.
Edited registry HKLM\Software\Opera\GSensor\IdleTime to a very large number like 1000000.
This auto rotating has been drving me mad. People all were suggesting gsen and other utilities but they all are awkward. In the end this simeple trick did it.
Like Apple was the first to get the touchscreen done right after 20 years of touchscreen history, Apple also did the auto-rotate right. With an iPhone/iPodTouch, it won't turn more than twice, so you can easily avoid unwanted rotation. Why Windows Mobile develops cannot figure out simple solutions like that?
Thanks for posting this fantastic workaround!
I saw this thread weeks ago but lost it and couldn't find it again despite my best efforts with the search function & google.
Here's a CAB for it (my 2nd ever!):
Thanks alot .d
just a little FYI - the cab doesn't work for me...the program (Opera) still auto rotates. I have tried the manual hack too.
Any more info?

Found the solution! I'm so happy. I'm done with this stupid automatic rotation:
The trick about HKLM\Software\Opera\GSensor\IdleTime need to be done but you also need to remove in HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList
the opera value.
I did the same for google maps and it works perfectly
I don't know about the rest but for HTC HD it's VERY SIMPLE!
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\AutoRotation = 0 (Default = 2)
My Problem was mostly with Dialer. No more screen rotation for me!

thanks mate it worked with my touch hd.
you just need to install it in the same location in which you have installed opera.
HD Mini - Opera 10 Mobile autorotate disabled [solved]
Thanks Davey101. Your cab file works well with the HTC HD Mini to disable the annoying autorotate feature in Opera Mobile 10.
Hey everyone, I found a very cool CAB, it makes your phone
vibrate on touch like in LG phones.
After install I set "Vibration Duration" on 30 ms in TouchResponse Settings.
It's for me just perfect but you can change it like you feel it better for you
Have fun with it!
If there is a newer version I will update my post
http://rapidshare.com/files/167731588/TouchResponse_v02.CAB
just link it to this topic please give the man his credits and the people who install this maybe want to know who made this and maybe ask questions

Ups sorry I didn't see this thread
Someone please close this thread
you don't have to close it i think maybe some users here dont go there often! so it's pretty handy to have this topic here that shows the TP users that there are programs like this
Very Cool THANKS!
installed yesterday, saw on its original topic
very very good
any way to make it work just when the soft keyboard is up?
thanks!
delete please!
i already have a cab for when the dialer is up so i have to figure someone can make it work just with keyboard
Does anyone know how this affects battery life? I would imagine that running the vibration motor every time you touch the screen would tend to decrease the battery life a good amount

spb keyboard has an option to make it vibrate when you press the keys. Plus, its ALOT more accurate than the default keyboard. You also have the option of the vibration occurring before the key press or after
Try it out!

Nice App!
Using it on my Touch HD and it works wel.
Is there any way (or are there any plans) to invoke vibration on only selected applications (eg. phone dialer) or only when the on-screen keyboard is being used? I know there is a similar application that vibrates exclusively w/ the phone dialer.
Hi Guys,
I am using HTC Tilt and have some problems with my phone. The touch sensor is responding very much late. Would like to know how to make it faster... Awaiting for your suggestions..
same for me!
i don't know why,but after flashing it goes perfect!but after few days of use it becomes slow to response to finger and pencil touch...Anyone knows why,and possibly, how to heal this problem?thx anyway
just a guess but it probably has something to do with the registry although I don't know which setting
and a little side note: Mods will probably move this to the general section
I'm very sure that kaiserII101 is correct. I believe I remember reading about a registry value that will affect the pressure you must apply to the screen, and another that will affect delay or something. Not really a whole lot of help, but just my thoughts.

Have you used the Touch control settings in "Schaps Advanced Configuration" or "Kaiser Tweak?

The utility is on the xda site, but I have no problem giving it to you.
There are a lot of other fun things in the program, just make sure you do a full back-up before you start messing around with it. ('Sprite' is great for this.)
It's a registry editor, but it is formatted in a multiple choice style, with "Advised" settings as well as "Default".
Well i disabled the touchflo3d interface(dont ask me why...i just felt like doing it but i dont know why... just felt it...) so i did it....and now i have one major problem and that is i have 2 virtual buttons on my diamond they are calendar and contacts....i would like to replace the virtual button calendar with phone.....is it possible....???...i know that one hardware button is assigned to phone ..but i really want to assign screen rotate feature to that button!!!!
What Da!!!
woah!! no one there can help me..???? OMG am i stuck with the stupid calender button?!?!
It's done like this:
Klick
didn't try, but should be working!
If you don't like editing the registry here's a program to change te buttons:
Klick
Thank you
Thank you very much you made my day....thank you....thank you...thank you.....
one more thing...!!!
thanq chef...but i have one more question... how can i change the colour of the text on the home screen.....????i googled it and couldnt find anthing except negative answers....well i would be prefering a registry hack instead of a program...lets keep the Diamond clean shall we!!
Sry, don't know how it's done. it hast already been discussed here on Xda, but they found no real solution ( except UI Tweak, which didn't work really).
Edit:
Hah! found something else:
It can be done (probably^^) with Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3, which would be the solution using a tool.
But you say you prefer registry, so i've found this.
(the second part of the text)
I'm not sure for which winmo version it was written, but it sounds like a solution. let me know if it works!
Greez
okay...
well i looked at the registry thing and it didnt work out.....can anyone tell me how to use advanced config to change font colour....cuz i cant seem to find it...by the way chef thanks for the effort..
