[THEME] ANDRODENA:::TEK::GALAXY- port [Cognition/FireFly/JL1] - Captivate Themes and Apps

First - I did not in any way shape or form create this theme. All credit goes to dena994 in the I9000 Forums. It was just so nice that i couldn't help but port it.
[THEME]::ANDRODENA:::TEK::GALAXY: Please Please Please go and thank them if you like this awesome theme.
Also, this is not an exact replica of said theme. I am in no way skilled enough to port the exact theme over. It is very close at this point and ill keep working on it as i have time. I just swapped artwork around.
Known issue:
- unlock screens not included

lol yeah some of these guys do some crazy work. Plus side to the CWM themes is if you store them on the root of your sd you can switch from one to the other in under a minute.. i love it.

Dude nice... I'll be sticking with this one for a while. Any chance that you can make a green version of this (green where the blue line) trying to make a green/blu version for myself. Already converted some icons but couldnt get glow effect on this one.

Sorry cant help ya there. I only asked for permission to port it over. I dont really want to get into editing the colors, to time consuming. The port i can do fairly quickly.
Im going to be porting over a a completely different theme that is green based in the next few days if you want to hold out on what your doing and check it out. You might be able to swap some stuff around to your liking.

sick, keep em coming, i appreciate it... been trying to learn to port over themes

would you mind porting it over for Andromeda? Framework found in this post.

much thanks.

I tried this on firefly 1.5, and it went a into boot loop.

Does/can this theme work on Gingerborg 7.5, a XXJPY Froyo 2.2.1 based ROM.

Perception no way as is. Though the original might. "Changes to base rom: Based on JPY" follow the link in the first post to dena994's post.
Cog3.02 yessir have it loaded as we speak.

I just installed the theme on FF 1.5 and it worked (sort of).
- the notification bar icons (battery, wifi, etc) installed the FF 1.5 stock icons.
- the power menu looks strange too (not at all like the picture on page 1), but it is functional.
Edit: It also made me lose root, and now I can't seem to get root back (one click root, update.zip didn't work). I think I need to flash back to stock and re-install.

Sigh.. Ill look into it again. Firefly is getting under my skin with the themes though. Did the revert work? That one should work for sure.
edit: Looked though files dont see anything wrong. It should be working fine. Reuploading maybe i uped a copy that wasnt complete.

I installed it on top of a fresh installation of FF 1.5 and it worked flawlessly with one exception. The mms app kept force closing. I replaced that app with the stock FF 1.5 mms app and everything is good now.

[THEME][Perception 9] Zoinks Mixup - Extended Menu, Dark | 12.17.2010

Updates:
11.25.2010 - Added a Stock Perception 4 reverter (Reverterator)
11.29.2010 - Massive rework for Perception 5, removed 1.3
12.17.2010 - Update for Perception 9
Introduction
This is a mashup of several different themes and APK kits. I took what I liked from each, made a few tweaks and ended up with this. The makers of the themes mentioned below get all the credit.
Items in the update:
Extended power choices menu - recovery, download, reboot and themed. Based off of CAP_XWJPA_AOSP_lockscreen_extented_power_menu
Android Scribble Boot Animation - GLa'DOS For Perception 5
Theme Mashup - Various elements pulled from the following
---- Dark_Soul[Doc18]
---- BlackFroyo - Samcrow
---- Darknessv2.3 - Reefermattness
---- (2) Manup456_REVOlution_1.2r1
---- Minimalistic Mod - inku
---- smooth-sense_evo1.0.25
---- and alot from Smooth-REVOlution1.1r2_1.0.1_nopercent
HOSTS file - Ad free Angry Birds (damn pigs stealing my eggs)
Battery Options - There are two choices
BlackBatt (SmoothREVOlution/Manup456) - Try BlackBatt, it uses 100 images like other percent mods. Battery life is better when you don't know the percentage of time left

How long would you consider long? I flashed with CW 10 mins ago and am still getting a blank screen. Suggestions? Ohh and flashing on Perception build 4.
2 min max. Thats too long.
What ROM are you using? Did you have any other customizations installed?
I've installed each of these several times and never had this happen.
Perception build 4. I have tried unsuccessfully to flash anything through the ROM manager app. When I flash it just goes to a blank screen. Im going to try and flash by going into recovery mode and let you know the results.
Thanks
update: flashed through CW recovery mode and it went fine. For some reason I can't flash using the ROM manager app. Anyway great theme. Have you tried to flash the a transition over the theme?
Yeah, don't use ROM Manager. It isn't really necessary with the SetiroN i9000 kernels.
Flashing the transitions from DesignGear's thread over this theme, or others, will revert the taskbar and other items to the theme originally packaged with Perception. You will be left with an ugly hybrid.
The changes are in the framework-res\anim folder (XML) and are easy enough to incorporate. I have a build with the bounce method running right now, but it is a bit off-putting. Not sure I like it.
I have a android.policy.jar that enables TapLock for Perception as well. I will be integrating it in the next version. The lock screen will look just like the one in the Doc's ROM images above.
Awesome I really like the taplock better. when should we be expecting the next version, and will we be able to just flash over the current theme?
I'll up it now. I'm dorking around with SetiroN i9000 1.4 kernel, so I won't do much more with it until after the holiday.
It will have the Taplock and Flyin' animations.
How do you uninstall?
Looks great though!

Flashed. Looks awesome! My Cognadian Bacon has been officially zoinkdified!
Like the theme and plan on using it. The only change I would like to see is make the notification bar background a little more opaque.

Restore your backup from step 4.
I'm not sure it is customary to include method to revert, but I can work this out later.
If you ignored the red-highlighted step (wink-wink), uninstall Launcher Pro and try plasticdarlow's stock revert. You can delete the bootanimation.zip from system/media to get the creepy eyeball boot screen back. That will leave the HOSTS file which you can revert or leave alone.

You read my mind. I darkened it quite a bit, but the transparency makes it hard to read if the screen underneath is busy. I'll update it in the next revision.
Which battery are you guys using? Part of the reason I made this was to get the BlackBatt back. I loved it when I had an EVO and I haven't seen the detailed version in any other Captivate themes. It seems that the general public likes the circle batt's, so I added it.

Just flashed it and it is attractive. Thanks!
So I don't know whats going on and why I can't apply themes at all. I open Rom Manager and press Reboot into Recovery, which of course reboots me into CWM. I go through the options to find the zip file and click apply it. It says applying theme, but thats it then goes back to the normal menu and I do reboot and nothing...
Its not just this theme though, I have tried Dark Soul and others.. So something is going on with my phone. Am I doing everything correct?
EDIT.. Thats what I was doing wrong. I was using ROM manager to reboot into Clockwork Mod instead of just using the powerbutton option of reboot into Recovery.. Completely different menu when I do that and that worked.
Where do I get this Taplock everyone is talking about?
And what is the difference between Taplock and ASOP?

It is AOSP, and stands for the Android Open Source Project.

Im talking about clockwork recovery, you need the green version to flash this. And its so messy switching all the time between the two. You need cwm3 for gapps and now we need cwm2 to flash the theme.

Dont forget to wipe dalvik cache after install but before rebooting. First boot will take a few minutes.
Word of advice: If you do intend to flash this i suggest also having a copy of 1.1 or 2.1's install zip on your sdcard in case it does not work. You can just pull your battery and boot into recovery and flash it. This should not wipe any information but of coarse BACK UP anything you want to keep.
If you want to try the theme out just update to 2.1, if you dont like it you can use this to go back to 1.1.

I'm attaching here the promised zip to switch from Andromeda 2.1 to 1.1
Use it as a regular cwm zip (push it to the sdcard -> reboot recovery -> install zip from sdcard -> choose zip)
it won't wipe anything not theme related. Enjoy.

Icon pack
Original credit to
bluemetalaxe and drew2000 for there originals-ideas-art-templates. I liked the sets so much that i decided to tweak them ever so slightly and create my own designed to go with the flow of Andromeda 2.0 in my eyes). Oh and a little thanks to appbrain.com for saving me the grief of digging into every app for its icon. If you see something of yours and i didnt credit you by all means yell at me.
Currently 133 icons. Most of the basics are covered. Note: A sh*** ubuntu install destroyed my boot manager and in turn the data on my hard drive, so dont expect any new icons. For this set at least. I will be working on something a little less "round" in the near future.
Looks a lot like the i9000 Steel Blue 1.0 theme, btw that WiFi logo on the drop down menu looks a little pixelated in the screen shot there. Also, could I run this over Andromeda 1.1 or is it 2.1 only?
this looks really nice cant wait to flash this later

Yeah the steel blue theme took a lot of artwork from the androdena tek galaxy theme, the same place i got just about everything you see that is blue. Links at the top of the post.
The whole row of icons on the drop down menu havent been touched from stock andromeda 2.1 Ill be swapping them out in the next version with something a little more "tek" but keeping them orange. The wifi one in particular is bugging me pretty bad lol... but i have to find something that will match up with the theme so im just leaving it that way for now. Might just do a color change to the androdena tek icons.
edit: Also, this wont look right with 1.1 the 2.1 is needed.

You should grab the icons from Steel Blue if you can, they do look pretty tek and slick, although they aren't orange I'm sure a little photoshop could go a long way there.

Oh thats right steel blue partly made with generation x artwork not androdena tek. lol just looked at it. And yeah thats a good idea. Ill attack both versions. Just so happens there is an orange version of generation x that i can rape.
Thanks for the effort. I'm not a big fan of the strong orange and blue contrast. I like the idea of a straight up blue or other color. Or the combination of softer colors...
Thanks again for the effort tho...not hating

looking good but can we have more blue and less orange version?
Great ROM...
The new icons look great! Can't wait to flash it onto my Captivate once it's fixed.

No promises but im messing with the theme whenever i have spare time. Seems every time i add more blue it throws off the andromeda feel of it and im trying to keep that part in tact. In my eyes at least.
im definitely liking this. The blue market goes well with it too.

It seems that the LockScreens are looking for a settings menu option we don't have. We might add that later if there is interest in it, but for now, please install the attached zip through cwm to prevent the menu button to unlock the screen.
As usual when modifying the framework, the first boot will take a while
Works for both 2.1 and 1.1

Now included in install zip.
For those that just want to update the lock bug fix please see the andromeda 1.1 2.1 thread. As far as im aware this does not effect you if you dont use android or rotary lock screens.
edit: Remember if you have problems you more then likely need to reboot into recovery and wipe your dalvik cache. This will cause a long first boot.
edit edit: new Mms attached on second post check er out.

I'm attaching here the promised zip to switch from Andromeda 2.1 to 1.1
Use it as a regular cwm zip (push it to the sdcard -> reboot recovery -> install zip from sdcard -> choose zip)
it won't wipe anything not theme related. Enjoy.

[ROM] M11 [M Series][Prototype/Hybrid] Update 5/25/11 - Lockscreen updated

The series that was EDT's first collaborative effort, "M", has returned better than ever.
Stats and FAQ's - READ THIS
Which Modem: KB5
Exchangeable: Yes, with any modem that works best for your phone.
Which Kernel: Supercurios KB1 Voodoo kernel, disabled by default.
Exchangeable: Unsupported but yes, with whichever kernel runs best for you - see the OP of the kernel you want to switch to for install instructions, prerequisites, etc.
Base: I started with a 100% stable version of UVKB5 with 8 lock screens, extended power options, am/pm toggle, ect., supplied by whitehawkx, and merged it with Meizu M9 FRF91, then recompiled several 10's of times until achieving 100% stability, I then merged this with the Meizu M9 GINGERBREAD 2.3.1 Version 20110429.154250 and once again recompiled several 10's of times until achieving 100% stability.
Launcher: Includes only my rebuilt version of the newest version of the rebuilt ARC launcher.
Uninstallable: No
Do other launchers work: Unsupported but yes, most all launchers will work with M11, including TW4.
Theme: Meizu M9 2.2 and 2.3.1 mix with 100/100 accurate battery with numbers.
Can flash other themes: No, the most you can do is theme this framework as it contains a custom set of images and xmls. Technically, you can flash any KB5 theme over this but you will revert it to stock xmls and lose M11. There may be a flashable twframework-res.apk soon to change the quick panel icons, there may not.
Bloat: De-bloated but includes Bloater to re-bloat if desired. Also contains several ARC widgets and Sony wallpaper chooser.
Battery life: Slightly better than any stock KB5 running Voodoo.
EDT Tweaks: No
Can be added: Yes, but unsupported and not needed on M11.
GPS: As usual, built for this rom in particular.
Can flash S.GPS: Yes, but unsupported and not needed on M11.
Sounds: Full set of Meizu M9 GB sounds with English titles and build.prop edits to assign.
Animations: Custom, though subtle, animation edits.
Boot Animation: The original M9 Clone, un-animated, bootanimation.zip with no sound.
Can change: Yes, by renaming the .bak's in /etc and /media - note that there is no shutdown animation, if you want to add it, it goes into /media/video and you will need to remove the .bak from the shutdown in /media/sounds/ui or replace it. This is all unsupported by the way.
Titanium Backup: I am not a fan and will not be supporting the use of the app, even though it is included for your convenience.
Install:
Download M_11.zip and save to your sdcard.
Boot into recovery.
Factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache.
Install M_11.zip
Reboot.
Give it time to settle down and reboot again.

Experimental updates, bug fixes, etc.
V 1.1 is named framework-res.apk, for Alpha testing purposes, is attached to this post. Push it.
V 1.2 Attached - zipped but not a flash - push it - will fc until reboot. - Pop up boxes are too small, causing text overlap. Will be moving back to 1.1 and going back forward.
V 1.3 - Final Revision attached - zipped but not a flash, push it - With this revision I had to back off from the GB a little and re-merge with FRF91 in order to solve some issues with the rom - This is the last update of framework-res.apk and will be included in the next milestone.
Nice! Downloading!

EH17/EH06/EG22 Pulldown no Animation with Scrollable Quick Panel
I've also ran this on EG22 roms as well.
Bugs: null/null on the lockscreen when the music player isn't running.
EH06: Tested on Stock Deodexed EG22 and EH06, Random Rom Hawk v2, and ERA Unnamed with no issues.
EH06: Tested on Urban Decay with one issue. You need to remove email.apk from the theme before you install it.
EH17: Make sure you are familiar with issues reported in Maddoggins mod thread and Crawrjs AIO thread.
EH17: Both Urban Vendetta & Hurricane Rom, Remove Talk.apk from the zip before installing. Both roms have the voice and video version which will cause fc's if the one from the theme isn't removed.
EH17 Lockmod Removal:
I didn't want to rebuild the whole theme just yet so it's a patch the keeps crt, battery mod, overscroll, and adds the scrollable quickpanel, but it has standard animations (I forgot to put the fly ins back in, sorry). It's made up of the framework-res.apk, settings.apk, and the 3 jar files.
Instructions:
This is made to remove from the theme so:
Flash v2.2 theme (If you're not already on it)
In the TSM parts settings: get your settings in there set the way you want. You won't be able to change these later.
Flash the patch.
You will now only have the Epic lock screen.
EH17 v2.3 Changes and instructions.
Wow, where to start with the changes this time around.
Thanks to maddoggin, we now have 11 lockscreen, and Mikey, you get your puzzle lock back in this version.
Blacked out gtalk w/Voice and video!
The transparent MMS is back.
Re did the progress bars to green as it is on Honeycomb.
Included the Voice command and Voice talk. Just awesome apps everyone should have.
I did not update the market yet. It was not cooperating with me at all. Also not including google + as that app is a royal pain in the a$$.
I would recommend you flash this on a fresh rom. Please do not post any issues until you try that.
Gmail or Gtalk fc's: If this happens, make sure there is only one installed in the system/app folder. If you do not know which ones to delete, delete both and reflash the theme. You can also fix plenty of fc issues by wiping the data on that app.

Thanks Shane, few ?'s
I still just want your icons on the notification only, such as the signal, wifi, and etc. Someone on a different thread gave me an answer as to what I needed, but i don't know if simply replacing the right files will brick my phone, or go through.. lol. I'm Deodexed on EG22. I also gave it more of a thought, as to I should just give the whole theme a shot, perhaps enjoying it for a while, would change my mind, I already have a nandroid backup, just wondering, is it just as simple to uninstall as it is to install? or Do I have to Nandroid Restore if I ever choose to remove the theme? Just like to tinker with things, I do appreciate your work. So much that I only want to take a piece of it, and apply it to my own custom experience. =P

You could just try flashing the systemui.apk for the signal bars, but the battery mod it in the framework and for that you'll need the .jar files.
To get rid of it, I would flash maddoggins stock 8lock mod and add the stock version of the apps I themed to the system/app folder of the zip.
Thanks
